Obviously you hate the Celtics. Bledsoe, sucks. Proved that in the playoffs. That return is ridiculous.
The last thing the Celtics need to make a run at a title is more draft picks.

Why would Minnesota give up a 1st to get inferior players, one who has the same contract situation as Butler?

@ Joe, three first round picks isn't a bad return for an expiring flight risk.

Xxx, there is no proof that he is leaving, buT that aside, why would the Celtics scuttle their chances at going to the finals by trading one of their top 1-3 players?
Answer: They wouldn't. They will go for a title. If he walks at the end of the year, he walks.
Ainge is not afraid to lose a FA. I think he believes he can resign him, regardless of the reports that have him going somewhere else.

This year is title or bust.

Xxx, to answeryour question, no it's not a bad return for most teams. But, it would not be a good deal for a team with championship aspirations.
Do you think the Warriors would trade him in a similar situation?
Would the Lakers? The Rockets?
Absolutely not. Can't understand why people would think the Celtics would. SMH.

Agree with JoeB, with LBJ out of the East, and Boston a leading contender to get to the finals, this trade doesn’t make sense for them today.

As for the Minny return carl2006, not sure how you see Middleton and Brogdon as a garbage return for Butler, whether he was expiring or not. Middleton put up 20/ 5/ 4 last year, and would give Minny something they desperately need, a 3PT marksman. Brogdon’s 13/ 3/ 3 on efficient shooting numbers is also a really nice asset.

Triagnle. I never said they were garbage. They are inferior to Butler, so both of them might get Butler, but Minnesota is also giving up a 1st, which tips the scale as a bad trade for Minnesota.

I think Ainge could do this if he feels Irving is gone and Rozier keeps playing good.

This trade gives them an extra big man, Maker could still bevome a descent player.
This trade gives Boston the flexibility to get another star and stay competitive for the Title.

You guys are crazy if you think Ainge will trade Irving. If he were inclined to do it, it would've been done long ago.
It ain't happening.
Rozier is not now, or will ever be as good as Irving.
I don't care who disagrees with me.

Ok so it’s a bust season @joe! Nobody is beating the warriors this year it sucks to say cause it kinda makes watching basketball not fun but when Demarcus comes back at even 50% himself they’re unstoppable! Boston has a great team but nothing like this garbage gsw have made.

You could be right, but the Warriors looked pretty vulnerable against the Rockets. The Cavs were awful, too.
But, we will all find out next June.

The Cavs got swept bro so ya they looked horrible maybe Boston wins 2 games but still not beating the warriors, like I said it sucks we already know the champions of 2019 (I hope I’m wrong) but almost certain I’m not.
