Trailblazers get Beal
Wizards get McCollum

The wizards and trailblazers blazers both always struggle in the playoffs. They both need to change something. This isn't a trade that changes a whole lot it is more just to try something different before trading an all star for a couple of assets or something, because staying how they are both teams are a 1st round exit 2nd if they get lucky. Both are similar players but do bring minor differences in play style and personally. If it doesn't work I doubt either team is in a worse position than they are now.

They are both signed for nearly identical salaries, each for three years. Beal is an inch taller and almost 2 years younger. But age during their respective contracts shouldn't be a factor . Both would be in their prime years for the entire contract (baring injuries of course) . TBH, I'm not 100 % sure how they compare on defense. I think Beal may have the advantage here, sort of tipping the scales in his value. Also, I think Portland's offensive scheme allows McCollum to pad the scoring stats a bit. I think in the end, Wizards say No.

Not sure there could be a more sideways move in the entire NBA, has anyone ever seen them in a room together, because I have my suspicions they are the same guy, Wall and Beal are the Dame and CJ of the East.
