Wizards and Pelicans
Pelicans get Beal and 2 1st round picks
Wizards get Davis

Pelicans get another 25 year old All Star with time on his contract to replace Davis along with some picks

Wizards get a super star to pair up with Wall in the East. Wizards haven’t been able to make the wall and Beal duo work so they move on from Beal. They have been needing a dominant big for a while and I don't think Howard will be dominating enough. He is on a decent contract at the trade deadline they might could trade him for someone to help the team if they get Davis and no longer need him.

It’s not the worse trade since some of the others are absolute rubbish. But I think both teams are not in a position to be letting go of their Star players and this trade does not really benefit either. AD gone makes the Pelicans slide Jah to the 5, which is risky and not a move that gets them to the playoffs. Beal also crowds up the backcourt since Holiday and Payton are likely the starters.

Beal gone causes the Wizards to not have a starting 2 and putting Rivers there is not going to work well. They lack guards and trading your starting Star 2 Guard for even an MVP candidate is not worth it. Boosting your front court but sacrificing your backcourt is not worth the risk. Both teams are better off with their respective core. Not title contenders, but I don’t think this trade gets them any step closer.

Pelicans don't trade Davis for anyone!

Except Luol Deng and Lonzo Ball. Oops, Deng already gone. Sorry Lakers.
