*Heat get: PF/C Julius randle, SG/SF E'Twaun Moore, SF/PF Solomon Hill, C Alexis Ajinca, 2020 1st Round Pick
*Pelicans get: C Hassan Whiteside, SF/SG Josh Richardson

- Heat do this to get a younger, probably player in Randle for cheap and allows Olynk and Adebayo get more minutes at the 5. Also clear tons of cap in 2 years with Dragic, t. Johnson, j. Johnson (team opt.) hill, Moore, and Randle coming off the books. Also get a first for 2020 that could be a good player.

Lineup:
Dragic/Johnson/Weber
Waiters/Ellington/Wade
Winslow/Moore/Hill
Randle/Johnson/Babbitt
Adebayo/Olynk/Haslem

- Pelicans do this to get a backcourt buddy for Davis that could entice him to stay and not put the Pels in a position of losing him. Also get Richardson who is a great defensive player and is on a great deal for the next 4 years.

Lineup:
Payton/Clark/Jackson
Holiday/Williams/Bluiett
Richardson/Miller
Davis/Mirotic/Diallo
Whiteside/J. Okafor/E. Okafor

Solomon Hill is the poison pill in this deal. The tird in the punchbowl. He is not good and is on a bad contract. He would hardly play for Miami and cost 12-13mm over next two years. Pew! The 2020 first from Pels if not too protected is a nice perfume to hide the stench.

Ajinca isn't bad and is on an expiring deal.

E'twan Moore is good, but not as good as Richardson and JRich has more upside. Heat really love him, with good reason.

Randle is a good young player on a good contract and would take Whiteside's spot on the roster at half the cost.

Heat would have to get rid of a couple of players as they have a full roster with the Wade signing.

This is a close call. Not sure if the Heat will see enough benefit. Heat probably pass due to their desire to keep Richardson. If you swap Richardson for Winslow heat say yes.

No brainer for Pelicans.

If anything, Whiteside would encourage him to leave. The guy is a head case Pels pass.

Warlock good explanation, I understand hill’s contract is not the best to look at. And yes Winslow would be better for the Pels and Heat, and I guess you could take Ajinca our do the deal so the money matches. But most of the players the Heat get back are off the books in 2 years, and some of their big contracts expire in 2020 like Dragic, Tyler and James Johnson that could lead to huge cap space (not sure what big FA’s there are) . Agree that the heat likely want to keep j-rich, and I would hope the Pels would do this to get Davis to stay and not be unhappy. Whiteside isn’t the best, but he is the most realistic option to trade for. And I think the heat would cut McGruder for roster spots.
