*Raps get: PF/C Blake Griffin, SG/SF Bruce Brown
*Pistons get: PF/C Serge Ibaka, SF/SG C.J. Miles, SG/PG Malachi Richardson, 2021 2nd

- Raptors do this to get a former All-star Forward who can help distribute the ball and rebound better. Better replacement for Ibaka and is on a long term contract. Also get a young guard who has potential since he was projected first round this year. Do this to improve their chances of a ring this year in a conference that is LeBron-less and can compete better with Boston and Philly. Big 3 of Lowry, Kawhi, and Blake could help them get further in the playoffs if all produce well. But having Blake on a massive contract for long term is risky, but their chances are better if you swap Blake and Ibaka.
-Pistons do this to get Blake off the books. They could clear lots of cap in 2020 with Jackson, Ibaka, Leuer, and galloway coming off the books. Reduces the risky in having bad money in Blake for the next 4 years. Also get Miles, who can help improve their lack of three point shooting since Kennard hasn't proven much. Miles could come off the bench to provide scoring, or start at the 2 or 3 with either Johnson, bullock, Kennard, or Robinson. Pistons do this to prevent a possible bad money situation and Ibaka is not a terrible downgrade from Blake, can spread out to the 3 point line, and possibly better defender for 11 mil less. Richardson is really to match the money and the 2nd is to sweeten the deal. Doubt the Raps would throw in a first since they already traded their own this year.

WHy would the pistons do this, they go from griffin who is arguably their best player to serge who is a considerable downgrade who also has an awful contract. with no real assets in return.
