Philly can't trade celtics pick for '19 unless it lands #1. It says 2018. Collider has made reference to this.

Okay sorry then switch it to Phillys 2020 first round pick which works out better for Wizard so they have 3 straight years of extra picks.

Btec - Collider and you are wrong. At this time, Philly is guaranteed a pick in the first round. Which means it can be traded. The deal with Boston was a pick SWAP, not a straight-up trade. Philly had 2 #1 picks - theirs and the Kings. After the trade, Boston gets the better pick unless it's #1. So if the Kings pick is #1, it goes to Philly and the Celts get the Philly pick. If the Kings pick is anything else, it goes to Boston and Philly still has its own pick! If Philly trades that pick, the acquiring team would have the same deal with Boston - and Philly would then have no pick in the 1st round. I'm not saying they should trade it, it's just frustrating to continually read posts that misrepresent the facts.

Boy Howdie I wasn't wrong, I didn't want to write a page about it and this post has both the already traded Celtics pick and the Philly pick being traded in 2018 so while you comprehend it in your terms, I was wanting to be brief. Oh well, so much for that.

Find me a trade where an already traded pick was traded again, if it doesn't get traded in another trade and post it. It's possible its just like aliens visiting or something!

Philly can trade its 2019 pick. Is that simple enough?
