Boston gets: TJ Warren, Andre Roberson, Patrick Patterson, Terrance Ferguson

Phoenix gets: Dennis Schroder, Abdul Nader, Brad Wanamaker, Boston first (protected)

OKC gets: Gordon Hayward, Richaun Holmes, Semi Ojeleye, Ellie Okobo, Phoenix second

Boston must consider the cost of their young core. Warren, Patterson, Ferguson can be solid role players, they can buy out Dre, and they'll have a bit more cash left over to keep either brown or Rozier or mayyyyybe both. Hayward isn't working out in Boston anyways.

Phoenix needs a starting point guard. Not only has Schroder reinvented himself in okc, but he's shown he can play off the ball which would work great next to Booker. The first will most likely be the worst of Boston's treasure trove, but an extra asset for a rebuilding team like the suns helps.

Okc goes all in on this season. Hayward, Russ, George, Adams are great but also very expensive. This would be championship or bust.

So let me get this straight. Boston trades Hayward and a 1st rounder for a group of players none of which crack Boston's starting rotation? That is sooooo not a Danny Ainge move.

Way too many players that don't have an impact on games being moved around here. Extremely unlikely for a team to participate in something like this.

Suns trade 2 of their top 7 guys and a pick for Schroder? Nope.

Not much there for Boston. Celtics probably would be better off keeping Hayward and seeing if he can return to at least 90 percent of what he once was. Boston also hoarding No. 1s for inevitable run at Davis. If Pels panic and move Davis to Lakers, everything is then back on the table for Boston.

This is not a trade Boston would be seeking. If They can find a deal to trade GH and take on an overpaid expiring contract then I can see that happening. Hayward has been showing signs of being more comfortable and looks to be moving much better, maybe they can also get a 2nd rd. pick to go along with the expiring contract.

But Boston does need to make a trade, I think we all can agree on that. I still think Oubre would be a great trade pickup. (Rozier)

NBA sent out warnings about tampering. James and Magic are hoping that Slim Jim Silver is giving James just a warning. James should be fined imo, we all know that he is using his "face of the NBA" as leverage, by saying he can say and do as he wants. Time to show him he can't be the Coach, President and Commissioner of Basketball. He doesn't play by the rules as he says he does.

The NBA is a company and can't legally leverage fines/ discipline without violating its own rules; which basically force the players to address the media after games. LBJ, while all of the things you say he is ( he is those things and more) was just doing what he is forced to do under threat of fine by the NBA. So now, your going to swing from the left and punish him for being cooperative with the media that you are forcing him to talk to and be cordial with, while being non-commital? I think a good case could be made to say he fulfilled those obligations of his contract when answering that question about Davis. I agree there is a stinky sock in the room but the remedy will require far more imagination on the part of the NBA. They created the monster and now have to put a leash on it without violating the NBPACBA, which by chance happens to also be headed by a LBJ flag waiver CP3.

As a Pelicans fan I like this trade for the Celtics because I believe they could package Warren and Brown and picks in a trade for Davis and getting Warren at $11 mill per season is more appealing than Hayward at $34 mill.

A lot of moving pieces there but the idea moving Hayward has merit and I think you are going to have to add picks or a player to move him with that contract .

Don't accept Hayward as part of the deal then Hornet21.

I don't think any team involved should do it. To many pieces involved and if i'm the thunder i don't go all in for a championship by getting Hayward he isn't that kind of player right now and is making way to much money for what he is right now.
