Here is the trade I would much rather do.

Kings trade Randolph, Shumpert, Cauley-Stein, MacLemore, Labriserrie, all remaining cap space and 4 2nd round picks.

Washington trades Porter and Green

Knicks trade Kanter

Sacramento receives Kanter and Porter

Washington receives Shumpert, Caluey Stein, Labriserrie, 2 2019 2nd rounders (Orlando and Minnesota) 2020 2nd rounder (Detriot), and enough cap space to get below luxury tax.

Knicks get Randloph, MacLemore, Green, 2019 2nd rounder (Milwaukee) + some cap relief

If Washington is stuck on a first rounder instead of the 3 2nds, then a 2021 lottery protected. If not conveyed, 2 future 2nd rounders.

Why does Kings trade 4 2nds? They don't need to get rid of WCS.

Kings have a plethora of 2nd rounds in the next 3 years and not many roster spots that they can fill. So use them to help convince teams to agree on trades.

Kings trade 2 starters to get worse and 4 seconds?

Porter is an upgrade on Shumpert and Kanter's rebounding makes him an upgrade on WCS. Maclemore, Labriserre and Randolph are all minor additions (in talent or in future cap flexibility) .

Plus, this deal doesn't destroy the teams depth which it needs playing this uptempo style.

Kings should get Green in this trade.

Salaries don't balance if Kings add Green instead of the Knicks.
