Get real.
The Celtics are not giving up 12 assets for Davis or anyone else.
Price for him is probably a solid starter, another high rotation player and a pair of No. 1s.

Collider, there are a ton of problems with the above trade, but if you think the Celtics could get Davis for something like Brown, Morris, and 2 late lottery picks, you’re delusional. Davis would be the most valuable guy to hit the trade market that I can think of off the top of my head. If the Celtics don’t put Tatum on the table, they’re going to be giving up a ton of assets.

I read that if the Celtics want him, Tatum is manditorh. Sixers, Simmons. To try and say nonsense like a starter. A prospect. 2 picks. What a joke.

Also, Hayward is a major negative. His salary cripples a teams cap. He is no where near earning that money. Likely won’t ever be near it. So to offload Hayward, snag Davis, and keep Tatum. Yeah. If Celtics think they are getting ripped on this they are beyond foolish.

Boston can’t trade for AD until this summer. There’s some weird rule with AD and Kyrie’s contracts that you can’t trade for 2 of them. It also doesn’t look like the Pelicans will even entertain trade until they put a super max in front of Davis.

The three biggest problems I see with the trade are that I don’t think the Pelicans will have any interest in taking on Hayward’s contract during a rebuild, there’s no way Dallas wants any part of bringing Noel back, and with as little as OKC is giving up and getting I don’t see the need for them in the trade.

Yeah, you can't trade for 2 players that signed rookie contract extensions in a 1 year span.

#'s have to match up, so a Hayward deal or a Irving deal would have to happen. And rk is right, if AD were to be traded NOLA would not want Haywards 2 yr. contract in a rebuilding process. Irving would be of some interest for the remainder of the season though.
