The Knicks shave 7.75 mil next year needed for FA, while getting a low FRP.

The Rockets use their FRP to get two players with friendly contracts for the next couple of years needed for their rotation, while moving three bad contracts and creating one more spot for buyout candidates.

The Bucks upgrade from Snell and Ilyasova to THJ and Vonleh heading to the playoffs. They take on 4,5 mil next year, but they will still have money to bring everyone back.

comme on shizzee, 2020 is the year New york is going to hit the free agent market.
Snell and that Hou pick are easyer to move than hardaway's contract next year. And trading hardaway is going to make them worse, so that gives them a bigger chance on drafting Z williamson.

Bottom 4 teams have the same chance at the #1 pick, and THJ is not going to win enough games to pull them out of the bottom 4 (Phoenix, Chicago, New York, cleveland) . Look at the standings, New York would have to win 4 games more than Atlanta to catch them for 5th worse. That ain't happening even with Porzingis coming back.

Good luck shizee dumping THJ for an expiring without giving away assets. This trade opens just enough money to open a Durant max spot and gives NYK one more FRP. Knicks will be able to do this with their 109 mil:
