Honestly, I don’t know how that roster looks like a Championship contender to me. When guys like Smart or McDermott are starters, that doesn’t scream NBA Finals.

As much as Boston (and NY, and LA, and. ) want Davis, if you look at the roster you have leftover after the deal, is it worth giving up all those assets for him? Love AD’s skills, but dude has won exactly one playoff series.

I am trying to figure out how Indy is taking on $25 mil in salary on draft day when they are already over the salary cap.

So let's push this back to after July 1st, the. why is Indy taking on A salary dump when they have their oen FAs to resign? The draft picks aren't all that.

@ Trangle

I agree, it's a high price. But, LA, clippers and NY are all going to bid high.

So Boston has a choice, let Irving walk en rebuilt around Tatum and J Brown, while they pay horford and Hayward or trade the young assets and Hayward for another deep run.

A Davis-Irving is a good fundament for a great team. (Malone-stocton made it to the finals twice)
And that's a descent bench. Horford would be a great sixth man and bullock is a good 3 and D guy.

Smart and McDermott doesn't scream finals, but those two are good roll players. smart does all the dirty work and McDermott is a good shooter.

Indy wouldn't be in this deal.

I think trading Brown, Tatum, and Hayward would be a huge mistake. They go from one of the deepest wing rotations in the NBA, to maybe one of the worst. They need to keep one of those three.

Gasupo- malone and Stockton were iron men. Kyrie and AD are both missing 10 plus games a year.

I think clippers Lakers and Knicks all better chance to resign him. Because after trade they have big markets and cap space to sign players. Or lakers because if lbj. With Irving and Davis its not enough. It's a lil upgrade over davis and holiday. With James and Davis they have right cap to sign right players. Or with cippers and Knicks would have enough for two slots. If clippers can dump gallinari which they can. I put bulls and bucks better option think davis will leave celtics unless they can trade Heyward.

Stopped really thinking when I saw the pacers taking Hayward’s horrific contract for basically two seconds. Cool. Sounds reasonable.

Even though its a bit risky and awkward, i am glad Pels did not trade AD to Lakers. I doubt they will in July also. Pels need to see what they have in Okafor, Williams and a couple others and see what the draft positions are.
