Phoenix should take Conley for that price.

To do this, Suns would have to not offer Oubre a QO (over $9 mil cap hold) . I think it would be smarter to resign Oubre (which should be less than what Ross will be offered) and not sign Ross. Bridges and Jackson are more SG/ SF types, so tge Suns don't really need Ross as a backup SG.

I am okay with signing Mirotic, but for some reason I think Randle may be a better signing at the PF to pair with Ayton.

That’s a nice trade for the Suns. But Oubre is a good fit down there. It would be cheaper and better in the long run to trade down. You have the Knicks, Cavs, Bulls and Hawks that would definitely throw in some assets for that #1 pick. With the greatest weakness on the Suns roster being the PG and Morant, Alexander-Walker, and Garland on the board. Some serious trades to consider:
Hawks receive #1
Suns receive #4 and #7

Knicks receive #1
Suns receive #3, Ntilikina and 2 future 1st round draft picks

Bulls receive #1
Suns receive W. Carter, #2, Dunn

I like Conley but $30 mil a year on an aging pg doesn’t seem smart. especially when you are constructed to contend in the next few years.

I like the Bulls trade:

Morant/ Dunn
Booker/ Ross
Oubre/ Jackson
Mirotic/ Bridges/ Bender
Ayton/ Carter/ Holmes

This team is straight! Enough floor spacing. This happens, I might be a Suns fan.

@ Fredman I agree with Randle being a better fit with Ayton, Than Mirotic. Plus, I believe Mirotic will resign with the Milwaukee Bucks. Ilyasova only has 1 yr. left on his contract, And Milwaukee can use Mirotic to replace him as their stretch 4.

Conley to Toronto would be good. He is a better defender than Lowry. If Leonard sticks around.

The big issue I have with all of that is Zion is not a SF, so I wouldn't go for Mirotic or Randle unless they traded back. That said, if they DO trade back and the Bulls are dumb enough to make that trade, Phoenix should LEAP at the chance. Carter is a great compliment to Ayton, and at #2 they could take Ja and still re-sign Oubre. That team is young, full of talent, and could really grow together. You would want to bring in some vets at that point though.

Check your history book, shizzee. Not messin' with you, but informing you that the Cavs have had back2back #1 picks (2013&2014).

Plus, Philly traded for the #1 for Fultz while drafting Ben Simmons the year before. Not exactly the same as winning the lottery on consecutive years, but close.
