Here is the most insane time line for the Knicks that isn't very far fetched.

Win lottery
Draft Zion

Sign KD and Kyrie

Trade

The Knicks get AD

The Pelicans get Knox, Smith jr, Ntilikina, Dodson, lance Thomas (exp), 2020, 2022 NY 1sts, and the 2 Dallas 1sts

Give the mle to Danny Green and Biannual to Marvin Williams

Sign Jeremy Lin and Korver

Pg Kyrie/Lin
Sg Green/Trier
Sf Durant/Korver
Pf Zion/Williams
C Davis/Robinson

That team would be crazy.

Unfortunately, if they are able to assemble that team, and they are championship quality. those picks lose much of their value.
If they are fortunate enough to get Zion Williamson, they should keep him and build around.

KD and Irving playing for Dolan is just too hard for me to take seriously. The clippers arena, the multiple fan incidents, a lawsuit with Charles Oakley, 20 years of sustained losing, Isaiah Thomas sexual harrassment, throwing P. Jackson and Nkilitina under the bus. It's too much for me to think KD, and Irving don't notice, or care about these issues too.

It definitely baffles me why they would want to go there, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

If you’re the Knicks and you win Zion and then Durant and Irving commit to sign for 4 year maxes, I think you trade every tradable pick, if you have to in the above deal. You immediately become the best team in the league.

Small minded children know the answer to your questions Jorgawood and Rkenne, marketing and legacy. Dolan worst owner in sports. Knicks worst record in nba. Still most valued nba team. 2nd in marketing to selling sporting goods. 46 yrs later clyde Frazier still a god in ny. To win in NY is impossible to imagine and to create a dynasty will make their legacy especially Durant ahead of Lebron. Enjoy yr 1 rkenne. NY Knicks fan are due championship.

So Zion a 4th option for 4 years? I’ll draft the pick Zion and keep Knox. At least you know what you got in Knox. No development in place for him with that roster.

The Pels wouldn’t accept not getting Zion. He’d be the required centerpiece.

I see Irving and Durant going to Brooklyn before going to the Knicks. I think what was once the allure of playing for organizations like the Knicks, Bulls and Lakers no longer exists in this current generation. I think FAs put winning and "supportive" FOs and owners as important as the $$$$ being made. The Knicks are way, way behind other teams when it comes to these factors.

They have the cap. That is true.

Knox has been horrible on the defensive end and he doesn’t shoot well.

You start working on Zion’s shot, defense, Cutting, setting screens, post passing, offensive rebounding, and starting the break. Honestly, it’s probably better for Zion. There’s pressure immediately for him no master what. At least in this scenario, there’s a ton of pressure on everyone. It’s not just on him to be the savior. They would have the luxury of being able to bring him along in a very limited role that can expand as the year goes along.

Down the line, he’s going to get more and more time to be the guy. KD, AD, and Kyrie will all miss time and be manage carefully. You turn the keys over to him in year 4, when you have to pay him and potentially 2 other guys, the max. In the end, you hope you get some kind of AD meets Draymond like player.

The discounts Irving and Durant would have to take are pretty awesome too.

Pels would want Zion in any talks w Knicks unless you brought a 3rd PARTY IN.
