I keep hearing “Atl doesn’t want Adams”. Why? He fits your timeline and could be had at a probably cheap price. Plus he’s only got 2 years left on his deal and fits on the court as well. I don’t get it. The dude can play.

ATL will take Adams, but they won't give up draft picks or take him for free. His future salary takes up cap space that ATL has been able to use to acquire picks. Adams doesn't make ATL a contender, so why win a few more games and have less chance to winning the draft lottery? There just is no compelling reason for ATL to go and get Adams unless draft picks are coming with Adams.
