Alright hear me out bc I know there's a lot of ifs and question marks on this.

Paul to the Knicks makes tons of sense. He can recreate a great culture there and either resign or go sign a minimum deal somewhere to get his ring. If they do well in these next two years, icing on the cake for the Knicks and for Paul.

Okc saw a situation with Paul George where the mutual attraction allowed him to squeeze crazy good assets back for the Thunder. I think he could do it again with the Knicks.

Knicks get Paul, Ferguson, 2020 Denver 1st

Okc gets Randle, Portis (accepting team option), Barrett

OKC gets another rising star with team control for conceivably 10 years if he gets that 5 year extension after his rookie deal. Midsession, Portis can be dealt as an expiring deal for assets or with assets for a Star. One deal that would make sense in my mind is this:

Okc gets Turner

Indy gets Portis, pick

Adams will be on the last year of his deal and struggles to remain healthy all season. Having Turner would be a huge boost and have a plan in case he walks. Indy paid Sabonis big money and will need to free up money for other guys in the next offseason.

Next, I think they target young guys to fill in those holes and have a team that can grow together for 5-8 years. I love Markkanen or Reddish. Then you factor in did they keep Gallo? Idk. But I will say those moves make sense to me. Thoughts?

You’re not getting Barrett in a Paul deal.

Can do so much better than that for Turner.

What if the Knicks offer you a late pick, Smith Jr and Randle for Shai Alexander so that he and Barrett will be teammates in NYK? Will you do it? Knicks are Knicks but this kind of deal is really a homer deal for OKC.

Barrett > SGA.
