Charlotte isn't the kind of team that free agents are attracted to and Whiteside isn't the player teams wanted to sign so it make sense if they agree to terms maybe 3yr/30mil? Whiteside fills the center need for the team.

With Graham clearly a bright spot to be their future PG, Rozier should be traded for a starting caliber SG, i feel like he fits with Detroit culture so the deal:

DET/CHA

DET get Terry Rozier, '21 pick swap & 2nd round pick

CHA get Luke Kennard & Tony Snell

They '21 pick swap could be huge for Detroit if they decide to go for playoffs next year and don't want to pay Kennard big money.

The Hornets draft G Cole Anthony

Pg Graham/Anthony
Sg Kennard/Bacon/Monk
Sf Bridges/Batum/Snell
Pf Washington/Martin
Ce Whiteside/Zeller

I feel like this is some kind of a realistic move for a team like Charlotte

Whiteside will get more money. He will get 15 for one year watch.

Shiller, he won’t. He isn’t good. Everything analytic says that he’s a net negative player. Heat and Blazers fans both couldn’t wait to get rid of him. He’s a back up center.

Getting Rozier or drafting one of the many PG prospects? Think I would go with the prospects.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Whiteside got 15+ million for a season or a 1+1 contract. Teams are dumb and think they can fix bad habits. He can’t be fixed, but someone might try.

The one thing that might limit him is the lack of cap space (even before the virus), and the uncertain future of the cap moving forward.
