Lakers Offseason

LAL- Kawhi Leonard, Brandon Paul
SAS- Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle (S&T), Luol Deng

If the Spurs feel they're going to lose Kawhi, they might look to trade him. The Lakers have the pieces to acquire Kawhi and still sign two MAX players (if they can attach Deng to the deal). I think this trade works for both teams.

Sign LeBron James MAX
Sign DeAndre Jordan MAX

C- DeAndre Jordan
F- Kyle Kuzma
F- Kawhi Leonard
G- LeBron James
G- Lonzo Ball

1.) 28 Mar 2018 21:26:48
You can't sign and trade along side another player, the Spurs have some cap space so they could just try to sign Randle if they wanted, they take on probably over 10 million dollars in a trade where they are trading by far the best player, and even if it were some how just Randle and Ingram for Kawhi, that would be a mediocre at best return.

2.) 28 Mar 2018 21:47:18
I actually cheer for the LAL simply due to geography, Kawhi is also an L. A. Native, so it checks a couple boxes on Kawhi's list I'm sure, but Popovich runs the team, and there is no way this would get him. A stars ransom is what it would take.

3.) 29 Mar 2018 05:17:21
Leonard on an expiring contract and wants out.
Lakers get Leonard Spurs get Ingram Deng and Kuzma.

Sign James 35 and George 30. Have about ten MIL left for a evans and mle for noel
Ball/ evans

4.) 29 Mar 2018 22:37:48
A player that is freshly signed will take the best deal possible, so at best, he is on a neutral deal, and may be negative to many teams who would not offer as much as he got. Combining him with Luol Deng's bad deal is certainly a negative package.

Deng + Kuzma is not worth their combined salaries either.

Ingram doesn't get you Kawhi in return.

PHI- Anthony Davis
NO- Markelle Fultz, Dario Saric, Jordan Clarkson, Amir Johnson (exp), Corey Brewer (exp), 2018 LA pick/SAC pick
LAL- Demarcus Cousins

Philly gets a 3rd star to pair with Simmons/Embiid

NO starts their rebuild with Cousins out for the year.

LA gets the rights to Cousins and clears Clarksons cap space to give them a chance at two stars (Cousins as one) this offseason.

1.) 06 Feb 2018 17:08:19
NO "starts their rebuild" by giving up two SuperStars for that pile of crap. Yeah sure that's a great trade idea. If you live in Philly or FantasyLand. Everywhere else its laughable.

2.) 06 Feb 2018 17:25:32
First, AD makes no sense for Philly, he will never re-sign with them.
2nd, Philly doesn't own the 1st Rd pick LAL/ SAC right now. Maybe they will after the draft lottery.
3rd, why would anyone trade for Cousins? Obviously out for the season and who knows where he wants to play.
Lastly, that really is a pile of crap that NOP get in return.

3.) 06 Feb 2018 18:50:12
Yumbo, I'm not sure why he wouldn't resign and he has 4 years left on his contract after this year. Philly wouldn't have to deal with resigning him for a long time. I don't think this offer comes close t doing it though.

30 Jan 2018 14:34:35

LAC- Tristian Thompson, Jae Crowder, Channing Frye, 2018 BRK 1st, 2019 CLE 1st
CLE- DeAndre Jordan, Lou Williams

C- DeAndre Jordan/Ante Zizic
PF- Kevin Love/Jeff Green
SF- LeBron James/Kyle Korver
SG- Lou Williams/Dwayne Wade/JR Smith
PG- Isaiah Thomas/Derrick Rose/Imen Shumpert

1.) 30 Jan 2018 17:10:54
Maybe, Thompson doesn't keep LAC flexible, and in contention. Would need a true center beyond Marjonovic if Jordan was traded. Long term contract, overvalue, not very good.

2.) 30 Jan 2018 17:31:00
The Clippers wan't no part of Thompsons contract. All it does is put them in the position that they don't want to be in. If they are going to make a trade with cleveland, there has to be a 3rd team involved.

12 Jan 2018 15:21:41

MIL- DeAndre Jordan, Brice Johnson
LAC- Thon Maker, Mirza Teletovic, Matthew Dellavedova, 2019 1st (unprotected)

C- DeAndre Jordan
PF- Jabari Parker
SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo
SG- Kris Middleton
PG- Eric Bledsoe

C- John Henson
PF- DJ Wilson
SF- Tony Snell
SG- Rashad Vaughn
PG- Malcolm Brogdon

1.) 12 Jan 2018 16:35:54
Not bad, but I think Parker is the most logical guy to be traded for Jordan. It's going to cost a lot to keep him and if theybtraded for Jordan, it would be a huge financial commitment to keep both.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 17:30:32
@AJ620, Henson, Parker, Vaughn, Teletovic and a 2nd rd pick for D Jordan, and S Dekker.

21 Dec 2017 15:24:55
MEM- Kris Middleton, Jabari Parker, Thon Maker, 2018 1st
MIL- Marc Gasol

C- Marc Gasol/Joel Bolomboy
PF- John Henson/DJ Wilson
SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo/Mirza Teletovic
SG- Tony Snell/Malcolm Brogdan
PG- Eric Bledsoe/Matt Dellavedova

C- JaMychal Green/Thon Maker
PF- Jabari Parker/Brandon Wright
SF- Kris Middleton/Dillon Brooks
SG- Tyreke Evans/Ben McLemore
PG- Mike Conley/Mario Chalmers

1.) 21 Dec 2017 15:39:47
Way too much for Gasol.

2.) 21 Dec 2017 16:15:11
M Gasol is a great player, but no way Milwaukee does this.
They could get him for that package when he was in his prime.
He's still good, but he's getting older and he had some injuries.

Middelton is a sollid starter, a good defender and great shooter.
J Parker and Maker are two good young talents
And Phoenix owns the 2018 Milwaukee pick.
that's just to much for an aging center.

3.) 21 Dec 2017 16:53:06
too much for gasol.

Maker & 1st.

4.) 21 Dec 2017 18:42:21
Middleton and Maker.

5.) 21 Dec 2017 19:45:25
Really Really lopsided Middleton alone is worth more than Gasol.

6.) 21 Dec 2017 23:12:26
Maybe just the pick is worth more.

21 Dec 2017 18:59:50

MIL- Paul George, Marc Gasol
MEM- Thon Maker, Mirza Teletovic, 2018 1st MIL
OKC- Kris Middleton, Jabari Parker

Memphis should look to unload Gasol now. Their window to win is gone and they should start to get younger. OKC tried their version of the Big 3, but it is not working out. George is destined to leave in the offseason. They should look to move him now and get something back rather then him leaving for free.

C- Marc Gasol
PF- Paul George
SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo
SG- Malcolm Brogdon
PG- Eric Bledsoe

1.) 21 Dec 2017 19:46:13
Not terrible. I think GA would be the pf in this lineup though.

26 Jul 2017 16:46:53

PHX- Lamarcus Aldridge
SAS- Dwayne Wade, TJ Warren
CHI- Tyson Chandler, Danny Green, 2020 PHX pick (top 10 protected)

PHX- Kyrie Irving
CLE- Eric Bledsoe, Dragon Bender, 2018 MIA pick, 2018 PHX pick (top 5 protected), 2021 MIA Pick

C- Allen Williams/Alex Len (re-sign)
PF- Lamarcus Aldridge/Marquese Chriss
SF- Josh Jackson/Jared Dudley
SG- Devin Booker/Elijah Milsap
PG- Kyrie Irving/Tyler Ulis

1.) 26 Jul 2017 18:08:49
If Suns got Kyrie I could see them bringing in Aldridge especially at this modest price. Issue is don't think Spurs would let him go that easily and don't get why they'd send Danny Green away (especially where he'll waste away on a bad team) .

I think that is a great return for Cavs (although they probably should move some of those picks. It would be even better for Cavs if they moved one of those picks to Bulls for Green (would make sense for both sides and Cavs can add Frye for salary) .

A core of Irving, Booker, Jackson and Chriss is solid even without the Aldridge trade and even if he opts out they have cap space to make a run at someone next year (do they have the max to offer Cousins since that would be a scary lineup) .

18 Jul 2017 18:45:21
NYK- Brandon Knight, Trevor Ariza, John Leuer
HOU- Carmelo Anthony
PHX- Andre Drummond, Kyle O'Quinn
DET- Ryan Anderson, Tyson Chandler, Dragon Bender, 2018 PHX 1st (top 5 protected), 2020 HOU 1st (unprotected)

C- Willy Hernangomez/Joakim Noah
PF- Kristaps Porzingis/John Leuer
SF- Trevor Ariza/Lance Thomas
SG- Tim Hardaway Jr/Courtney Lee
PG- Brandon Knight/Frank Ntilikina

C- Clint Capela/Tarik Black
PF- Carmelo Anthony/Luc Mbah A Moute
SF- PJ Tucker/Jarrod Uthoff
SG- James Harden/Eric Gordon
PG- Chris Paul/Isaiah Taylor

C- Andre Drummond/Allen Williams
PF- Marquese Chriss/Kyle O'Quinn
SF- TJ Warren/Jared Dudley
SG- Devin Booker/ Josh Jackson
PG- Eric Bledsoe/Tyler Ulis

C- Tyson Chandler/Boban Marjanovic
PF- Ryan Anderson/Dragon Bender
SF- Tobias Harris/Stanley Johnson
SG- Avery Bradley/Luke Kennard
PG- Reggie Jackson/Ish Smith

1.) 18 Jul 2017 23:47:25
Don't hate it for any of the teams. Knicks get a solid return consisting of Knight who is still relatively young and showed promise earlier in his career, Ariza is a solid role player and Leuer isn't that great but as a backup isn't terrible.

Houston gets their guy in Melo. I think its unwise to give up an unprotected 1st (they should do top 5 at least) since although they have Harden locked up long term, Melo and CP3 won't be the same players in 3 years and Rockets could be mediocre and contemplate trading Harden to spark a rebuild.

Probably a little on the high end price for Drummond especially with 2018 draft featuring a lot of promising big man prospects but he'd allow them a faster timeline while still young enough to grow with the rest of their core.

Drummond was once considered among the top echelon of young centers in the league due to his athleticism and avg over 13 pts and rebounds per game at the age of 19. He has remained healthy and is still an elite rebounder but hasn't really improved his game the 3 seasons since especially on the defensive end where he appears to have the physical tools to be elite. He doesn't appear to be the franchise center anymore and in a league going away from traditional centers Pistons would be wise to shop him to try and add more talent. Bender and Phx's pick offer significant upside and Anderson would be an upgrade over Leuer while Chandler could fill up the minutes at center.

What's weird is I was making (will post soon) this type of scenario for MIL. After I submitted I saw this. I love this idea for MIL. I think the East is up for grabs and they can easily take it with two moves.

This is awful for SAC…They give up the 10th pick, and take on the NBA’s worst contract in Mosgov? This would get everyone fired.
