Plenty of cap space and a lot of good young talent. Obviously this team won't compete in 2019/2020, but if the young guys pan out, 2021 can become a very exciting year.

1.) 14 Dec 2018 18:30:21
The rose rule prohibits Davis and Irving together on the same team until after July 1, or one of them renegs their current contract.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 04:34:46
Davis reneges his contract and becomes a FA and signs a max contract? Is that how it would work out?

14 Dec 2018 17:21:53

1.) 14 Dec 2018 22:01:15
Is it true that Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis are both "Derrick Rose Rule" contracts and thus cannot be on the same team?

2.) 14 Dec 2018 23:04:02
Until July 1, 2019 when Irving's contract expires. It has a lot of parts for its full explanation, but in general Davis, and Irving are both Rose Rule max contracts currently, and no team may possess more than 1 Rose Rule player contract.

14 Dec 2018 16:46:26
Nikola Vucavic

Donte DiVincenzo
Thon Maker
Tony Snell

The Magic can open up playing time for Bamba and also get something in return for a pending FA in Vuc. The Bucks gets a very good C who can complete their team and make a run in the East.

1.) 14 Dec 2018 17:13:51
I think you'd have to throw Brogdan, or Bledsoe to get Vucevic. Magic need a ball handler. The bucks pick this season that they look like they will get might do it?

2.) 14 Dec 2018 17:37:40
Take out Snell, replace with Brogdan, and I think Orlando would do it.

3.) 14 Dec 2018 18:00:39
Brogdan/ Snell/ '19 1st # 15-30
Vucevic/ Ross.

4.) 14 Dec 2018 18:25:08
@ Btec, Agreed! That would work! I can see the Bucks doing that! Plus, Lopez is on a 1 yr deal. Vucevic could fill that role next year. Ross would be a 6th man role also. But, The Bucks do need a Legit SF! Then Move Middleton back to SG.

Your thoughts?

5.) 14 Dec 2018 18:36:20
Throw in Divincenzo for Simmons? He's a good defensive 3.

6.) 14 Dec 2018 18:55:24
Btec, issue is those salaries don't match up. can't acquire Vuc and Ross for Snell Brogdon unless MIL adds 8 mil more in the trade. I could see Snell and Brogdon for Vuc.

7.) 14 Dec 2018 19:11:41
Agreed, I would! Milwaukee has enough players who can play SG. and a couple of "G" league players. Who also can play SG. (All are 6'5" - 6'6" ish) , Can use a legit SF.

8.) 14 Dec 2018 19:59:46
Aj620 agreed. Hard to make anything work. George Hill, '19 1st 15-30 for Simmons, Vucevic. In one trade, or find a third team, and then Snell, divincenzo for Ross in another? Hill can't be traded with other players only by himself for a bit yet.

9.) 14 Dec 2018 22:18:56
Vucevic is having a career year, Ross is playing great, so is Simmons. The Bucks would love to have them, but you can't trade 3rd stringers or people Orlando doesn't want or need. No interest in Snell. Brogdan, Maker, and the 1st for Vucevic would be fair all around or Orlando will find another team to trade with.

10.) 14 Dec 2018 22:40:51
You aren’t going to have to give up much for Vuc. He is a good player but he’s essentially a rental.

11.) 14 Dec 2018 23:27:00
@ OldskoolMagic, What 3rd stringers? Brogdan starts, and can play PG/ SG. Snell is the 6th man, and Maker is the backup to Lopez.

12.) 15 Dec 2018 01:19:32
Brogdan, Hill, '19 1st
Vucevic, Ross or Simmons.

14 Dec 2018 16:39:58
Jabari Parker

Courtney Lee
Mario Hezonja
2nd round pick

Bulls pick up a 2nd round pick and the Knicks shed Lee's contract.

1.) 14 Dec 2018 17:16:32
Fair trade, knicks shed Lee.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 01:45:07
Bulls get Hardaway Thomas Kornet 2020 Hawks and Knicks 2nd

Hawks get Felicio Lee Burke Knicks 2020 1st

Knicks get Parker Dedmon Lin Anderson Harrison

Mudiay/ Ntilikina/ Lin
Dotson/ Trier/ Harrison
Knox/ Parker/ Anderson
Vonleh/ Dedmon/ Hezonja
Kanter/ Robinson/ Porzingis.

29 Nov 2018 17:53:29

NYK- Wilson Chandler, 2nd round pick
PHI- Frank Ntilikina & Lance Thomas

NYK- Alex Abrines, Pattrick Patterson, 2nd round pick
OKC- Courtney Lee
(Credit MattV)

NYK- John Wall
WSH- Tim Hardaway Jr, Kevin Knox, two-2nd round picks (acquired in previous trades)

Sign Kevin Durant to MAX
Sign defensive SG

Re-sign Kristaps Porzingis MAX
Re-sign Enes Kanter 4 years $80 million

1.) 29 Nov 2018 18:23:20
Why wouldn't the knicks keep Frank Ntilikina and try for Beal instead of Wall? OKC might even take Thomas in there trade exception to us at Pf.

2.) 29 Nov 2018 18:36:58
Why in the world would the Knicks give Kanter that contract?

3.) 29 Nov 2018 18:41:33
Why not keep Frank Ntilikina and instead of giving that much for wall get Beal instead? It will save the knicks tons of money wall is over paid and Beal is under paid.

4.) 29 Nov 2018 20:56:04
No thank 1 and 3 trade are no, no.

5.) 29 Nov 2018 20:58:34
The Knicks wouldn’t have that kind of space if they get Wall. His contract goes from 20 million to 37 million next year. Would they even have money to get Durant? They would definitely have to waive Kanter’s cap hold.

6.) 29 Nov 2018 21:08:35
Why would they trade Frank then look for a defensive 2 in FA lol, also he's worth much more then wilson Chandler.

7.) 29 Nov 2018 21:41:47
Noahmerv, I agree with everything you said except on Ntilikina. He has been a disappointment on the wing offensively, and @ PG. With the new NBA rules he has been a bit of a problem. Great on defense, lots of promise there. Chandler plays the 2,3,4 is on a contract that expires, could be re-signed for not a lot, good defender, shooter, facilitator.

21 Dec 2017 18:59:50

MIL- Paul George, Marc Gasol
MEM- Thon Maker, Mirza Teletovic, 2018 1st MIL
OKC- Kris Middleton, Jabari Parker

Memphis should look to unload Gasol now. Their window to win is gone and they should start to get younger. OKC tried their version of the Big 3, but it is not working out. George is destined to leave in the offseason. They should look to move him now and get something back rather then him leaving for free.

C- Marc Gasol
PF- Paul George
SF- Giannis Antetokounmpo
SG- Malcolm Brogdon
PG- Eric Bledsoe

1.) 21 Dec 2017 19:46:13
Not terrible. I think GA would be the pf in this lineup though.

26 Jul 2017 16:46:53

PHX- Lamarcus Aldridge
SAS- Dwayne Wade, TJ Warren
CHI- Tyson Chandler, Danny Green, 2020 PHX pick (top 10 protected)

PHX- Kyrie Irving
CLE- Eric Bledsoe, Dragon Bender, 2018 MIA pick, 2018 PHX pick (top 5 protected), 2021 MIA Pick

C- Allen Williams/Alex Len (re-sign)
PF- Lamarcus Aldridge/Marquese Chriss
SF- Josh Jackson/Jared Dudley
SG- Devin Booker/Elijah Milsap
PG- Kyrie Irving/Tyler Ulis

1.) 26 Jul 2017 18:08:49
If Suns got Kyrie I could see them bringing in Aldridge especially at this modest price. Issue is don't think Spurs would let him go that easily and don't get why they'd send Danny Green away (especially where he'll waste away on a bad team) .

I think that is a great return for Cavs (although they probably should move some of those picks. It would be even better for Cavs if they moved one of those picks to Bulls for Green (would make sense for both sides and Cavs can add Frye for salary) .

A core of Irving, Booker, Jackson and Chriss is solid even without the Aldridge trade and even if he opts out they have cap space to make a run at someone next year (do they have the max to offer Cousins since that would be a scary lineup) .

18 Jul 2017 18:45:21
NYK- Brandon Knight, Trevor Ariza, John Leuer
HOU- Carmelo Anthony
PHX- Andre Drummond, Kyle O'Quinn
DET- Ryan Anderson, Tyson Chandler, Dragon Bender, 2018 PHX 1st (top 5 protected), 2020 HOU 1st (unprotected)

C- Willy Hernangomez/Joakim Noah
PF- Kristaps Porzingis/John Leuer
SF- Trevor Ariza/Lance Thomas
SG- Tim Hardaway Jr/Courtney Lee
PG- Brandon Knight/Frank Ntilikina

C- Clint Capela/Tarik Black
PF- Carmelo Anthony/Luc Mbah A Moute
SF- PJ Tucker/Jarrod Uthoff
SG- James Harden/Eric Gordon
PG- Chris Paul/Isaiah Taylor

C- Andre Drummond/Allen Williams
PF- Marquese Chriss/Kyle O'Quinn
SF- TJ Warren/Jared Dudley
SG- Devin Booker/ Josh Jackson
PG- Eric Bledsoe/Tyler Ulis

C- Tyson Chandler/Boban Marjanovic
PF- Ryan Anderson/Dragon Bender
SF- Tobias Harris/Stanley Johnson
SG- Avery Bradley/Luke Kennard
PG- Reggie Jackson/Ish Smith

1.) 18 Jul 2017 23:47:25
Don't hate it for any of the teams. Knicks get a solid return consisting of Knight who is still relatively young and showed promise earlier in his career, Ariza is a solid role player and Leuer isn't that great but as a backup isn't terrible.

Houston gets their guy in Melo. I think its unwise to give up an unprotected 1st (they should do top 5 at least) since although they have Harden locked up long term, Melo and CP3 won't be the same players in 3 years and Rockets could be mediocre and contemplate trading Harden to spark a rebuild.

Probably a little on the high end price for Drummond especially with 2018 draft featuring a lot of promising big man prospects but he'd allow them a faster timeline while still young enough to grow with the rest of their core.

Drummond was once considered among the top echelon of young centers in the league due to his athleticism and avg over 13 pts and rebounds per game at the age of 19. He has remained healthy and is still an elite rebounder but hasn't really improved his game the 3 seasons since especially on the defensive end where he appears to have the physical tools to be elite. He doesn't appear to be the franchise center anymore and in a league going away from traditional centers Pistons would be wise to shop him to try and add more talent. Bender and Phx's pick offer significant upside and Anderson would be an upgrade over Leuer while Chandler could fill up the minutes at center.

Phoenix would be better off staying put and hoping they land the #1 pick. Booker Ayton Zion would be a very good core to build around.

First off, I'm a Knicks fan (hate admitting that), and second, what is so unrealistic about this? Is NO going to beat GS or LA with just Davis? Why not trade him for two young guys and try to rebuild for 2/ 3 years when these teams past their dominance? Any team not named PHI, BOS, HOU, LA should be focused on rebuilding and adding young talent. No one has a shot to beat GS with their current core.

What's weird is I was making (will post soon) this type of scenario for MIL. After I submitted I saw this. I love this idea for MIL. I think the East is up for grabs and they can easily take it with two moves.

HOU doenst have their pick in 2018. Plus SAS won't take on Anderson.
