Over way around. It's should be Blake and then some for butler. Butlers been more reliable thus having a higher value than Blake.

I'm sorry but did you not watch blake Griffin in the playoffs against the spurs only 1 year ago? Duncan, diaw, and splitter could do nothing to stop him and he was very good defensively. Griffins value may be a little lower because of injury riddled year, but cmon, his ceiling which although he doesn't always reach is way higher then butler. Butler is a 2way star, but he does has a shaky shot along with the fact that isn't nearly the proven scorer blake is. Blake is the better player.

I don't like The Chicago moves this summer. They should have traded Butler for draft picks and go tanking.

Duncan and diaw were like a combined 70 plus years old and splitter is a bum. Your point holds no weight.
None the less we're talking about the better player, Not a most likely 5-6 game sample size in a series they undoubtably lost. He contribute more to winning games then Blake does and is always on the floor to do so.

Tre- Your speculating though. We can only really go off of what both player have already done. Butler is legit, and there's no reason to think he won't be able to continue to be healthy, and Blake continue to miss games regularly. That game this year where butler single handely beat the Sixers was crazy. I think he has like 55.

This is the trade i have been saying! It will benefit both teams greatly. The clippers desperately need a wing, and the bulls don't need butler with wade at the 2 spot.

Clippers need depth and flexibility moving forward. If Denver lands Wade, they could use another star to pair him with.

I wouldn't say that's considered depth. They have cp, jj, Austin, and jamal why would they want Barton? If anything from the young guards, in a blake package they would ask for one of either murray or Harris with faried, Gallo, and picks.

Love the trade idea. Denver becomes relevant. the clipper also get guard help that they desperately need. Although a frontcourt of faried and deandre jordan would clog the paint since neither have a decent jumpshot. Otherwise benefits both teams but i'd ask for someone other than faried.

I think you smoking too much of the haze if you think Rose is worth 2 first rounders. He is an expiring deal, a huge salary hit (20 mill), and he has bad injury history.

Rose will never be the player of old. His injuries were to costly on him. he's not as explosive and to expensive. For 20 mil per you got to at least put up a 20ppg 9dimes. More important than that he's not a general he can pass but he can't lead. He reminds me of Marberry. A whole lot of talent but just not a leader. U see it now with his team.

Conspiracy theory:
The whole butler to Minny thing got lit back up because Thibs stated yesterday he was willing to trade the #5. I believe he did this because he knows the bulls are in talks with Boston and wanted to drive down the market value. The bulls want a veteran starter, a young guy with upside, a lottery pick and a mid level 1st, hence #3, Bradley, crowder and a pick. If the Twolves come out and say well we'd do it for the #5 and Dieng nothing more that drives down the perceived market value.
Why would he do this?
#1 the bulls would take Dunn at #3 and Thibs wants Dunn so its in his interest to complicate trade talks.
#2 he really enjoyed messing with Reinsdorf, forman and paxson.

Like your thinking there Winston. But I also don't think Danny would be stupid enough to trade two starters and the number 3 pick along with another pick for Butler. I was reading on a Celtics blog about the similarities of Bradley and Butler and there weren't that many other than on the offensive end. And I think with this trade you suggested with the Celtics you are by far losing in the deal. Crowder and Bradley both equal if not exceed the scoring of Butler and the defensive isn't even close, you would be losing way too much.
I personally feel that Butler is getting way too overvalued in all the trade talks out there. He is a good defender and a good scorer but I would not consider him a top 15-20 talent warranted of a top pick, 2 starter quality players and then another pick down the road.

Larry: I wasn't necessarily suggesting that trade, its a version I heard listening to an interview with some beat writer who was talking about the price Chicago was setting.
I don't think anyone would honestly trade all that for just butler.
