Sixers pelicans

Sixers get - jrue holiday
Pels get -jalil okafor

BIGBOYASSASIN

1.) 07 Feb 2017 01:45:36
I like the fit of both players on opposite teams but Holiday being an upcoming FA complicates things. Having Holiday on your team enables you to offer him more money and an additional year but not sure how much teams value this. I'm not sure how interested Pelicans are in Holiday but I think they should try their best to keep him since FA is unlikely to provide any upgrade. I don't see Curry, Paul, Lowry or Hill leaving so that leaves Teague, Rose, Mills, Collison and Jennings. Holiday is younger than all those guys and I think has a higher ceiling (if he could ever regain his pre-injury form back when he was a 22yr old all-star on 76ers) .

I like Okafor to Pelicans and Holiday to 76ers but I think Pelicans should try to keep Holiday and deal some combo of Hield (76ers would probably have to add a little more) and future draft picks.

2.) 07 Feb 2017 18:09:27
Pels plan to keep Jrue. And Okafor for Jrue straight up is a bad deal for Pels even if they weren't planning to.

76ers - Wolves trade

To sixers -wiggins & rubio
To wolves - noel covington sixers 1st 2017 sac 2019 1st own by philly

Sixers go international ball and wiggins embiid reunite

Minnesota emphasized defence and build around KAT

BIGBOYASSASIN

1.) 29 Jan 2017 14:47:10
Obviously love it as a sixer fan, but twolves aren't going for it.

2.) 29 Jan 2017 14:54:14
Would do it if I'm philly but the problem is wolves love Wiggins. I have watched Wiggins play and it's obvious he's a good player. unfortunately so he's proven to not be a generational player as he was advertised out of college. Kids solid but his defense and lack of NBA weight has hurt his upside for me. But for that package it's hard to not take this deal.

3.) 29 Jan 2017 19:03:25
NBA weight? He plays sf. not really known as the position you need to bang down low on. unless i'm missing something, 200lb seems quite alright. Giannis is 3 inches taller and 20lbs more. guess that's not NBA weight? he's also 21.

I smell flopper. ignore the generational player Okafor's defense. but Wiggins, oh man, he ain't generational because his defense is only average. Smells like a hip-o-crit ;)

4.) 30 Jan 2017 02:57:37
Hamburger.

Watch Wiggins play and tell me he's not flawed. He also need a three point shot. Btw did I say he was a bad player? I said he was not a generational player. A very good player. I believe the same is said for okafor. A very good player. Nothing generational there.

You twist words troll. Try watching the game pizza boy!

5.) 30 Jan 2017 19:07:49
Sorry but I do watch every Wolves game and this kid is going to be special. Does he need the defense to greatly improve, absolutely no question about it. But his weight? Look at a pick as a rookie compared to now. significant maturation. In 2 years mind you.

His 3 point game is greatly improved considering he led the nba for the first month shows he's capable and he's shoots enough a game where it means something. take a look at all the superstars currently, most were given the keys to their franchise just like wiggins but not as many put up the numbers he did as a rookie and sophomore. does have to fill the box score in other ways better too. Also Jimmy Butler wasn't jimmy butler on defense until Thibs got to chicago.

Sixers trade covington to hawks
Hawks trade korver to sixers

Sixers trade luwawu cabarrot to lakers
Lakers trade lou williams to sixers

sixers trade noel to phoenix
Phoenix trade bledsoe to philly

Philly
Pg bledsoe, bayless, rodriguez, mcconell
Sg henderson, lou will
Sf korver, grant, thompson
Pf simmons, saric
C embiid, okafor, holmes

Sixers keep okafor :)

Sixers make playoffs.

BIGBOYASSASIN

1.) 27 Jul 2016 15:41:19
Lakers say yes in a second. Sixers should start Okafor over Embiid this year.

2.) 27 Jul 2016 16:10:50
Dont see the suns making that move.

Also, that team isn't a playoff team. Bledsoe is a season ending knee injury waiting to happen. And he also has not led a team to the playoff.

Henderson is a backup guard at this point. Korver is old as balls, terrible defense, and is a one-trick pony, and his one-trick wasn't elite last ear.

Beyond that you have 2 rookie big men. I would absolutely think last years wolves were as good, if not better, than that proposed sixers team. And that wolves team was the 5th worst in the league.

So yeah. not likely.

3.) 27 Jul 2016 16:35:13
I would try to get JJ Redick before Korver. 3 years younger and this is his contract year, same as Korver. Now if you had both those guys hanging out behind the arc, it would certainly open up the lane for Jah and Joel to work with Ben. Bayless also had a high 3 pt % last season.

4.) 27 Jul 2016 16:43:05
Here one for the Celtics

Celtics Blake Griffin Russell Westbrook
Thunder Isiah Thomas 2017 1st round via celtics 2017 1st round via clippers
ClippersJae crowder nets pick mitch Mcgary and thunder 2017 2nd round.

5.) 27 Jul 2016 17:02:05
Suns trade makes sense for the Sixers but not so the Suns. Maybe knight for Noel would work.

The rest do not. Covington for an old korver seems like a waste.

Lou Williams still has value but not here in philly. Rather keep the young guy.

6.) 27 Jul 2016 17:45:16
Boston is pretty much on record as not giving up any significant assets without a commitment from the incoming player (s) .

7.) 27 Jul 2016 19:23:23
"pretty much on record" is the same as citing an anonymous source.

well played.

8.) 27 Jul 2016 23:20:38
Atlanta says no to Covington, he's to streaky. Korver had a bad year but still managed to shoot 39% from deep. Korver will be much better this year because he'll be healthier.

9.) 28 Jul 2016 13:32:24
Trw

Korver is too old now (35). Never could defend. He's a role player off the bench at best. I'm saying guys like him don't get better with age.

10.) 28 Jul 2016 14:29:56
echoing tre. covington is "streaky" but yet just about at the same 3pt% as korver. The thing is, covington can play d and is FAR younger.

39% doesn't cut it for a player that literally brings nothing else to the table. He had worth solely because he was an elite 3pt shooter, making in the mid to high 40%. This dip just brings him to good, not great, levels. he's getting old, getting even slower, and his one trick is fading. He has rapidly diminishing value.

11.) 28 Jul 2016 23:08:10
Hamburger and TreGib you both make valid points. I was just saying Korver shooting 39% was a down year considering he couldn't do his usual shooting routine last summer due to rehabilitating his knee and elbow injuries. Yes Korver is old but he'll shoot a higher percentage this year with Schroeder and Howard playing the pick and roll game.

12.) 29 Jul 2016 13:58:51
Trw I'm not sure Korver even plays with those two this year. he's a bench player due to limitation on defense and his speed in general.

Team with the most upside
Sixers
Twolves
Nuggets
Lakers
Suns.

BIGBOYASSASIN

1.) 08 Aug 2016 20:35:09
Bucks?

2.) 08 Aug 2016 20:35:16
Thunder?

3.) 09 Aug 2016 00:27:23
Is this in any particular order? I wouldn't necessarily put 76ers as team with most upside since although they may be one of the young teams with the most assets I don't really think they have the clear makings of a team yet. They have some solid looking pieces but none have done much yet and they fit horribly together.

I'd include the Bucks and Jazz to the list too.

4.) 09 Aug 2016 15:15:58
I'd put minny first.
Then Sixers.
Then lakers
Then nuggets
Then Suns.

24 Jul 2016 00:55:48
Can simmons embiid and saric be the best rookies to play at the same team ever?

BIGBOYASSASIN

1.) 24 Jul 2016 05:28:01
Are you kidding me? Have somewhat realistic expectations. This is stupid.

Look up the following then keep quiet:

Bird
Iverson
Jordan
Olajuwon
Abdul jabar
Oscar Robertson
Duncan
David Robinson

Best ever? Go for 10 win increase. What a joke to all sixers fans.

2.) 24 Jul 2016 05:43:36
Are they on the same team in their rookie season?

3.) 24 Jul 2016 06:02:50
He means the best group in their rookie season on the same team at the same time.

4.) 24 Jul 2016 13:40:11
Wow, some people don't get life

5.) 24 Jul 2016 14:40:48
Some people don't get life? I'm failing to see the point of this. The overall impact they have as rookies will not match up to the singular impact of those I listed. So who ever else was a rookie on the team when those players I listed were. They are also part of the best rookie seasons ever. Feel better?

6.) 24 Jul 2016 15:05:13
He still doesn't get it.

7.) 24 Jul 2016 20:46:57
Aww snap. I don't get it conceptually that the sixers fans anoint their rookies as GOAT. But I do get the impact of prior rookies. And seeing as they would have to be compared against their impact. I still take Larry bird and whatever rookies he was with. But thanks for informing me.

8.) 24 Jul 2016 21:04:50
Additionally, it depends on your definition of best rookies ever. If you judge based on stats. Sure. Possible. Especially as they will get much time because of being so bad. I judge performance on wins though. And in that they will not. Embiid likely won't play the whole year. Simmons and saric will block each other's minutes. I get it. I actually see decent performances out of embiid and saric. Very good out of Simmons. All time best? Likely not top 10. And I can say that because I actually do get it. I get wins are the factor that determines success. Not stat stuffing because the sixers are fielding a triple a team for another year or two and someone has to get stats. Question is, do people posing questions like this get it? Probably not. And probably still think MCW was the best rookie from his class. So Grizzlies and Schmitz, I ask. Do you get it? Or just groundless trolling. I tend to believe the latter.

9.) 24 Jul 2016 23:13:11
Not sure they'll even be the best this year. Suns with Bender, Chriss and Ulis or Nuggets with Murray, Hernangomez and Beasley could potentially have them beat.

10.) 25 Jul 2016 00:34:24
Hamburger you still don't get what he was saying bro.

11.) 25 Jul 2016 00:36:51
He did not say that Simmons, Saric, and Embiid will be the 1st 2nd and 3rd best rookies in their class this year.
He said that they could be the best GROUP of rookies in the same class on the same team.

12.) 25 Jul 2016 03:08:32
I ask that because simmons this year number 1 who has a ton of potential and embiid is number 3 in 2014 and saric who just won the mvp in european qualifier. Saric and embiid consider as a rookie. Don't sleep on embiid if he's healthy he would be a great bigman in the league.

13.) 25 Jul 2016 04:52:03
I think he get it he just have a different point of view? For me it's a no.

14.) 26 Jul 2016 00:17:23
I get it entirely. My view point is the best class is when a group of rookies alter a team drastically through increased wins. Not stats. The sixers aren't making the playoffs. This not the best. Simple as that. I fully get it.

15.) 26 Jul 2016 00:46:21
★☆76ers Rookie 2016-2017 Team★☆
■ Wait until the season ends .

■ If the 76ers win 25-30 games, the 3 Rookies show improvement throughout the season→

■ If Saric, Embiid, and Simmons all play in the NBA Rookie Challenge Game and all 3 are selected to the All NBA Rookie 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Teams, and one of them is selected NBA Rookie of the Year; All 3 place within the Top 10 in ROTY voting

■ I think I would but them up there as one of the best group of Rookies on ONE TEAM (Hamburg 1 Team) during one NBA season in modern times.

■ This HAMburger guy, GO find out who where the other Rookies with Bird, then Talk! Remember, READING COMPREHENSION is fundamental, so understand the man's question before writing your ill advised sermons

■ BigBoyAssasin started his post with, "Can", he never said Embiid, Saric, and Simmons "Will Be" the best group of Rookies of All Time!

■ Suns and Nuggets Rookies can't touch Simmons #1, Embiid #3, and 6'10 International star Saric . plus T. Lawuwa/ France 6'7" swingman looks nice also

■ Saric, Simmons, and Embiid will be on the court together, with Simmons up top, Saric on wing, Embiid down low on offense; 76ers D-Assignment→
Saric on 4, Simmons on 3, Embiid on 5: So squash the cutting into each other's time and development with those 3; Saric backs up Nerlen; Okafor → Gone!
