Anyone have any idea why pacers would go after low level free agents.they are so close to contending and yet they have there eyes set on low level talent

Evans is possible but I think he'll stay with Griz depending on the pacers offer. There is no way in hell nuggets are letting Barton go. They've already stated they are willing to go into luxury. Pacers would have to offer around 25 mil to rip him from nuggets.

Indy isn't a free agent destination. They can't get the top end guys, it just won't happen. Barton, Ariza, etc are the best they can land. I wouldn't call those guys "low level", they're solid contributors.
I would call going for those guys realistic. Why waste your time on Lebron or George or Cousins when you have no chance?

Pacers should offer all they have to offer for Lavine, or A. Gordon. Those guys and Evans maybe are who they can get and could potentially be big time players maybe. If oladipo is their primary ball handler Schroeder could be good for them if they can get him for expiring guys they don't need. Played good next to teague in that role.

I'd agree with you on that, I know Indus not getting lebron or boogie, seems like they would at least make a run at gordon randle Lavine, instead of going for the bottom of the barrel.

I'd say it's a good deal for Indy, and allows Charlotte to rebuild, I just don't see Indy doing and major trading at all.
