Clips: Butler, Dieng

Suns: Beverly, Patton

Wolves: Harris, Gallinari, Warren, MIL 1st, 2019 PHX 2nd if MIL doesn't convey. Sign A.Bynum or one of the okafor's for a back-up C?

1.) 25 Sep 2018 18:28:17
Clippers are not trading 3 starters. They already have Gortat. They don't want to take on Dieng's bad contract.

Clippers: Harris, Beverly, Gallinari

Wolves: Butler, Dieng

1.) 24 Sep 2018 17:34:53
If Thibs gets his way and minny focuses on established talent over youth, this is a nice move. Harris isn’t a huge step down from Butler. Beverly is one of the better backup PGs in the NBA. And Gallo isn’t much different than Dieng in terms of negative value, but when he’s on the court he’s much better than Dieng.

I could see minny holding out for Williams instead of Beverly if they have to take on Gallo, but the framework is plausible.

2.) 24 Sep 2018 18:28:05
I think its a pretty good trade, i just don't think Clips can unload Gallo for that return. Maybe add a pick?

3.) 24 Sep 2018 19:39:08
Clips throw in the protected half of the 2019 pick. 1-14 goes to wolves, 15-30 goes to celtics? Not much of an offer with butler coming into the fold but it's not a bad gamble for the wolves with Harris, Beverly, Gallinari leaving, the clips are still a likely fringe playoff team in the west. Thanx bmiller66, that was my goal to post a trade consistent with the media rumors of butlers reported requests, and thibs wanting to stay competitive. Miami, if they deal the 2019 1st, which they would, and a selection of players with Dieng involved is also a good offer. LA and Miami are leading the sweepstakes so far I think according to rumors.

4.) 24 Sep 2018 20:33:20
Galinari is way better than Dieng. If he is healthy, Galinari is nearly worth his salary. Dieng couldn't carry his salary to the bank with an armored car.

5.) 24 Sep 2018 20:59:54
Bece et Ky is a better player than minny pg.

6.) 24 Sep 2018 21:59:36
That's true Warlock. If Gallo was ever healthy he'd be considerably more valuable than Dieng. But he's played in over 60 games once in the last 5 years.

Would you rather have a guy that scores 15 ppg 45 games a year and doesn't play the remaining? Or an average backup center that plays every game? To me, it's probably a push considering Dieng makes a bit less.

7.) 24 Sep 2018 22:53:33
Dieng has also started at PF for a couple of years next to Towns. He has versatility.

8.) 25 Sep 2018 00:36:48
I don't think any GM anticipates that a guy is only going to play 45 games a year. Galainari's injuries have been numerous, but he can recover. I saw him play this summer in the Africa game. He looked great. Best player in the game (including Embid, Whiteside, Gay, ect. ) . I have to believe that Galinari is going to play a full season. He might avg. close to 20 pts. Dieng will be lucky to play 10 minutes a game and avg. 6 pts. a game. No comparison.

9.) 25 Sep 2018 17:02:57
If you're not factoring in injury history, then you are a complete fool. Assuming a guy that has never stayed healthy will stay healthy is the road to getting fired as a GM.

And yeah, that goes for Embiid too. I would hate to inherit him as a new coach or GM. He's a walking timebomb.

Also, Dieng averaged 10 and 8 for two years before last year. If you expect Gallo to do something he hasn't done for a few years, I would expect Dieng to bounce back from a down year too.

Bucks: Snell, Bledsoe, Della

Hawks: Lin, Bazemore

1.) 19 Aug 2018 04:24:42
The Bucks currently are looking at Henson and Dellevedova, Plus a pick for Bazemore. They wouldn't send 2 starters, plus their 1st PG off the bench for Bazemore.

2.) 20 Aug 2018 21:41:11
looks more like a lose/ lose trade to me.
Bucks improve at SG, but lose in PG big.
Hawks don't like the contracts of Snell and Della.

18 Aug 2018 21:14:37
Blazers- Lillard, Leonard

NY- Kanter, Robinson, Thomas, Mudiay, 2019 1st, 2021 1st

Deadline trade, after kristaps has missed games to increase draft pick lottery odds. Lillard, Knox, Kristaps decent team on paper.

1.) 19 Aug 2018 23:12:33
Or the Knicks can keep the picks. Sign a different max player who wins in the playoffs. And not have Leonard’s awful contract.

18 Aug 2018 07:40:38
Rockets: Anderson

Heat: whiteside

1.) 18 Aug 2018 10:05:25
Whiteside makes no sense behind Capela, and Heat have already indicated they’re not keen on Anderson.

2.) 18 Aug 2018 10:26:42
Did the Rockets move Capela?

3.) 18 Aug 2018 11:28:06
I’m sure Miami would ask for 2 First Round picks to take Anderson contract on.! Miami laughs and hangs up on Houston.

4.) 18 Aug 2018 13:24:58
^ Pretty sure Rockets don't even make the call.

Suns: Arthur

Kings: Shumpert

1.) 10 Oct 2018 01:42:30
Why for kings?

2.) 10 Oct 2018 05:04:07
Save about 4 mil.

05 Oct 2018 18:27:54
I can't figure out whether the kings got better in the off season or the Lakers defense is atrocious especially when rondo and ball sit.

1.) 05 Oct 2018 19:23:56
Both? The Lakers defense won't be good this year. They're too young (or old) . Lebron and Kuzma can't guard bigs consistently. McGee isn't a starter. Ingram and Hart might be decent defenders at some point, but not yet, and Kuzma would shock me if he ever became an average defender.

And the Kings have to improve at some point right? They've got a bunch of young talent, they should at least be able to score some points.

02 Oct 2018 02:31:48
Kevin Knox and Miles Bridges still playing like its summer league. Good sign for the knicks and hornets.

10 Sep 2018 19:22:33
Suns- Dinwiddie, Faried

Nets- warren

Suns- Dinwiddie, faried

Nets- warren

1.) 10 Sep 2018 12:58:43
The Nets believe they have a shot getting Butler/ Leonard and Irving, so they're not trading away capspace.

2.) 10 Sep 2018 19:26:51
I'll send you a $100 bill if the knicks or Nets get 1 top tier free agent next summer. Not good players, top level irving, butler, leonard talent. Their franchises are in complete disarray. Why would a top tier guy like Irving, Butler, or Leonard go to either of those teams? That's a good one, how many times does Leonard have to say I'm going to the Lakers before people believe it?

3.) 10 Sep 2018 19:55:49
I doubt either franchise gets a star this offseason, but I don’t think it’s impossible or either franchise is in disarray.

If KP can come back healthy and Knox looks is as good as he looked in summer league, the Knicks have some good front line talent that match the style of the league, all of their picks (with the absence of KP for most of the season probably another lottery pick) and cap space. Of course, it could always get Dolaned, but they’re arguably in the best place thevey been since the turn of the millennium (you could argue after the Amare signing or the Melo trade, but everyone knew that Amare was going to break down sooner rather than later) .

The Nets look to be well ran at this point. The fact that they’ve been able to add as much young talent as they have and have a ton of cap space at the end of this year is impressive. Their gm took over under impossible circumstances and somehow came out the other side with a decent young team. I’m not sure they have the stars in place, but they have the ancillary players, assets and space to make a run at them.

4.) 11 Sep 2018 03:38:06
Great, my use of disarray is challenged. What is wrong with people on here? With the attacks? Sorry, both NY teams are locked up tight with 5 players who will be with the team 4-5 years from now in their top 8. Solid like gsw. My mistake they are not in disarray.

5.) 12 Sep 2018 17:20:18
I think the Nets are the opposite of disarray. They have decent young talent. They have their future picks moving forward. They have what seems like a really good GM running the show.

The Nets only have one contract over 10 milion (Crabbe) for next year. They are out of their bad contracts and horrible trades. Do I expect them to get a big time free agent? No. Would it shock me? No.

The Knicks on the other hand will always define "Disarray" as long as Dolan owns them. He's just a terrible owner. I don't see them landing anyone. They rely on their history and tradition. The problem is that the players in the NBA weren't even born when that history happened.

6.) 13 Sep 2018 16:56:41
Bmiller66 and rkenne16 you both defined disarray as drama, and then wrote novels about your opinions of NY's basketball teams. They are in complete teams with no chance of competing for a title for at least 3 seasons without adding 3 top tier players. Butler is 30, Leonard is a laker, Irving isn't leaving the celtics. Again what is the point of arguing one word like disarray and then not even describe the definition properly? There are holes in these teams lineups that have to be filled in order to compete, if that isn't the definition of disarray, what is? I strongly suggest you both look up the definition of that word. I use the oxford dictionary but I'll allow modern Wikipedia slang as I'm sure what you both are referring to is drama, and chaos. Not disarray. Glad it sparked your ire to troll me though. It's annoying as hell but children will play.

7.) 15 Sep 2018 01:07:05
“In a state of untidiness or disorganization”

The Nets books are tidy. Their management is organized. Hence, not meeting the definition of disarray.

Not winning doesn’t instantly mean disarray.

Also, when did 3 paragraphs become a novel? Just because I use paragraph breaks to separate ideas instead of just stringing run on sentences forever? (Noooooow I’m trolling! )

That worked well for both teams. The clips really had no use for Johnson, and the pelicans didn't have any one like Johnson. Good trade.

They are going to play butler and lose him to FA next summer the way this has gone so far. And yep that expiring deal keeps losing value everyday.

Player for player the blazers are better off with their guys and years remaining. Turner, Leonard, Harkless could all be bought out for less, and stretched next season if the blazers are desperate.

Even if parsons has a 15, 5 and 5 season he's overpaid. Good for the grizzlies but overpaid and bad for the cavs here.

Maybe you don't think the mavs need these guys but I assure you the mavs very much want Jalen Brunson, and Kostas Antetokounmpo. Could be a wee bit better than the older Thanasis who didn't hold so well in the nba. No a caboclo just yet! So no to the magic from mavs.
