Por Orlando

Portland gets
-Aaron Gordon
-evan fournier

Orlando gets
-cj
-evan Turner
2019 lotto protected first

Orlando gets a better top end talent and a back court of cj and Turner that can actually be competitive in the east. Portland gets a better overall cast and better group around Lillard

How do you give up by far the best player in a deal and a 1st? Portland says a quick no.

2.) 05 Feb 2019 04:46:35
To help offset the Turner contract, and Portland doesn't need more youth.

Portland Orlando

Por get
-Gordon
-ross

Orl gets
-cj
-lendard
-2019 unprotected pick

Orlando gets a playmaking guard and opens room for their young bigs, and Portland gets more balanced

Portland wouldn't have to deal the pick with Mccollum in the deal.

2.) 09 Jan 2019 00:49:25
Good trade till the pick.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 03:22:47
I mainly put it on because I don't think the blazers need their pick but I could see it not taking it.

Just for argument sake, throw that in a trade machine and it will result in a +12 game gain for Portland and a -12 game loss for Minnesota. I don’t think that a late first rounder will justify that for Minnesota? Not to mention they’d be stuck with another year of Turner at premium money. Would he even start? Money might work, but I don’t see Minnesota accepting this deal.

2.) 19 Sep 2018 21:12:40
In all fairness, the trade machine doesn't factor in potential or contracts. Collins has pretty decent value even if he doesn't have the +wins on the trade machine.

That said, I think both teams pass. I can't see Portland giving up Collins for an expiring contract. And I doubt Minny values Collins enough to make him the centerpiece of the deal.

3.) 19 Sep 2018 22:38:10
This is bad for the blazers when butler tells everyone he's interested in signing for other teams in the off season. Turner is absolute garbage but he's a buy out guy next summer and the blazers are better off without surrendering assets to get rid of him for a rental.

4.) 19 Sep 2018 22:58:56
Paul George said he would only sign in LA as well. Then he signed in Oklahoma. Sometimes taking a risk is worth it for an all star caliber player.

5.) 20 Sep 2018 00:40:42
What does Paul George and indiana's situation over a year ago have in common with butler and wolves? I am drawing no parallel's Please advise? Contract? Current team?, declared coveted cities?, specifically a large market? Not following anything you posted, just see defense of a biased opinion.

6.) 22 Sep 2018 01:28:06
No one is going to give up anything for butler besides maybe the clips. The Knicks arleady said they're not going to lose assests for someone they can sign. It's a risk for the blazer but it's better than trending water.

Trade Portland 76ers

Por gets
-Covington
-Saaric
-#10 pick

76ers get
Cj McCollum

76ers do give up some youth but land a top level SG that will help them land a big free agent better. The Blazers get a little cap relief while also being competitive.

1.) 05 Jun 2018 16:57:47
I'm reluctant to believe Sixers would do that.

2.) 05 Jun 2018 17:14:54
i think cj needs a situation where he can be lead guard, philly can't offer him that with simmons and fultz around.

3.) 05 Jun 2018 17:45:33
Yeah, I'm not sure why the 76ers would do this to make Mcollum their third ball handler. I could see a sea center around the 10th pick and maybe a 2nd team taking on Fultz for picks or something.

4.) 05 Jun 2018 17:49:44
Sixers are not giving up both their starting forwards, both on very good contracts, both young, plus the #10 pick for Mccollum. I like cj a lot, but not at this price. Makes the sixers way to thin.

5.) 05 Jun 2018 18:51:17
I think Saric, TLC and #10 is a little more reasonable.

6.) 05 Jun 2018 21:24:08
Fultz, Saric, and 10 for McCollum and 24 makes more sense to me.

Covington is too good of a 4th option to unload. Fultz and Covington probably are valued similarly, but Fultz is better for the rebuilding/ retooling team, while Covington is better for the team that wants to compete right now.

7.) 05 Jun 2018 21:48:13
This is makes a ton of sense, Mccollum already has experience playing off ball of Lillard, and if the 6ers are really worried about Fultz never being the same, the Mccullom would be exactly what they were getting in Fultz, older and shorter. Maybe, 6ers can swap out TLC for Covington, but maybe not, upgrading is expensive. Nice trade.

Portland trail Blazers and Pacers

Portland gets/Pacers give
- Paul George

Portland gives/Pacers get
-26th
20th
-Myers Lenard
-Allen Crabbe

No one knows how much a one year Paul George rental is actually worth yet, but if its on the lower side(i.e. not Kevin love level) this could work out for both teams. Pacers get some younger players plus 2 first to start a rebuild. Blazers get an all-star that could help them try to win now, but at worst it is a salary dump if George leaves.

Coolcjl

1.) 19 Jun 2017 21:03:42
this only works if you think Portland is close to contending and George get's them to the finals in his one year there. They are much further away than that. Thus, you are simply paying 2 1sts for a one year delayed salary dump (and delayed build out) and maybe a move from 8th seed to 4th seed in next year's playoffs and second round exit. Crabbe still has upside value so dumping him and the picks for absolutely zero one year from now is the antithesis of building a winning team.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 21:21:11
I think this sort of move would make sense for Blazers since since that offer is close to what it would take to just get rid of those bad contracts. However, I think Pacers will be able to do better.

3.) 20 Jun 2017 17:19:56
I agree they can probably get a better trade, but this should be a crazy week so I wouldn't rule it out!

4.) 20 Jun 2017 20:26:34
only if you replace Crabbe for Turner in the deal. Crabbe still has upside value and has some demand. Trade him for future assets.

Not sure the blazers do that. It saves them a lot of money for free agents that never come to Portland.
