Portland and Brooklyn

Blazers gives
Crabbe
Lenard
mem. 1st

Brooklyn gives
Brooke Lopez

Simple Brooklyn gets young talent, and Portland gets another building block for their win now mindset.

Portland might have to include Clevelands pick as well, but I'd do it if I'm Portland. Even if the fit with Lopez and Nurkic would be questionable, get improved talent when you can, work out the fit later.

Portland trailblazers Miami heat

Portland give
-Myers Lenard
-Allen Crabbe
-Noah vonleh
-2017 1st
2018 Clev 1st por 2nd

Miami give
-Whiteside

Pretty simple without wade and bosh the heat do the smart thing and rebuild by grabbing a lot of assets.

Coolcjl

1.) 10 Oct 2016 01:33:32
Too much to give up for Whiteside.

2.) 10 Oct 2016 02:08:16
I don't see many useful assets there. Meyers Leonard is a meh stretch big man, allen crabbe is a grotesquely overpaid role player and Noah Vonleh is raw and has yet to make any appreciable development in his first two years in the league although he is still only 21 and bigs take longer to develop (Whiteside is prime example of this) .

Portland projects to be a playoff team for next few years (as does Cleveland) so neither of those picks will be anything great.

Personally I think Heat would be better off keeping Whiteside and hoping he, Riley and the weather could attract a major free agent.

3.) 10 Oct 2016 17:07:57
I have to agree with jaw here

A rebuild is the best approach the heat should have now that bosh is done but they have to get some substance back in return.

Crabbe is over paid. Lenard is ok but average. Vonley is just a nobody bust right now. And the picks seem to extremely late firsts.

4.) 10 Oct 2016 18:11:40
Echoing everyone, this is an awful trade for the heat. These are average players at best they get. To be an asset, you have to be a star, or at least a very good contract. Vonleh is a bust, role player at BEST. Meyers is an average center at best.

Crabbe has likely taken the title of most over paid player in the league. Seriously, his stat line is 10/ 1/ 2.stats are never the full indicator of a players worth, but my god. if you add all his points, rebounds and assists. he gets paid more than 1 million per stat per game. that's insane. He is literally getting paid a million more a year than Jimmy Butler.

The trailblazers are stuck with that awful contract. Between Crabbe and Turner, theyd be lucky to rid themselves of it for essentially nothing. but you want a top 5 center? Get out of here.

5.) 10 Oct 2016 18:48:21
Its not really fair to judge contracts before the cap increase and after. Butler might have the most team friendly deal in the entire NBA.

That said, I don't think either team would do this. Miami doesn't get a top tier asset for their "star", and Portland guts their bench for a guy that I'm not sold is a real star. It seems just as likely that he has a javale McGee plummet than he wins a DPOY award.

6.) 10 Oct 2016 19:14:40
Yeah they might be able to, but what playoff team needs a rim protector more. Also for everyone calling Vonleh a bust you're definitely jumping the gun, he just turned 21 two months ago. Myers does have to prove himself, but still has lots of potential, same goes with Crabbe.

Portland, Kings and clippers

POR Give
noah vonleh
allen crabbe
Myers Lenard
2018 first round pick

POR Get
Blake Griffin

LAC Give
Griffin

LAC gets
Rudy Gay
Myers Lenard
Allen Crabbe
2018 first

Sac gets
Noah Vonleh

Sac gives
Rudy Gay.

Coolcjl

1.) 04 Oct 2016 23:23:41
Because Vonleh is secretly a great pointguard?

2.) 05 Oct 2016 00:04:21
I don't see Portland landing an all star without giving up McCollum. And I don't see Portland giving up McCollum.

portland and 76ers

POR gives
Allen Crabbe (assuming he plays well)
2 2nd round picks
2018 Cavs pick

76ers give
Noel
Sergio Rodriguez

Trade could use a little tweaking, but it would help the blazer get a good D guy, and would give the 76ers a good 3 and D guy to play at the 2 with potential . Plus the 76ers have cash to blow.

1.) 16 Aug 2016 12:30:28
I believe you can get better return for nerlens without having to pay that much cash out to crabbe. And the 3 2nd rounders (clevelands basically a 2nd since it will be in high 20s) does nothing to really change the value.

2.) 16 Aug 2016 14:30:15
I'm not really interested in crabbe. I looked at him a lot during free agency. Doesn't really impress me much. And Noel and Sergio is too high a price.

3.) 16 Aug 2016 18:33:19
I somewhat agree with that I'm just no sure what else could make it more even for the 76ers.

4.) 16 Aug 2016 20:26:50
The value is decent, crabbe and Noel will make about the same in a year. They're both (at best) third options and above average defenders.

But, Portland has as many (or more) bigs than Phili. Portland has plumlee, ezeli, Leonard, Davis, vonleh, Harkless, and aminu all to play the 4 and 5. And they are short on decent wings. This doesn't really make sense for Portland.

5.) 17 Aug 2016 06:50:58
yeah but also don't have a great defensive post. If they did this it would defendantly have to make other moves which with so much money on the books next year I could see them doing.

6.) 17 Aug 2016 15:55:36
I don't think that Noel is much (if any) better than plumlee, ezeli, and Davis defensively right now. He's flashier with a higher ceiling, but not very consistent. He ranked 19th in defensive efficiency among centers last year, that doesn't make me think he's the next great defensive center. He's also a worse rebounder than the guys Portland has.

It scares me that he could turn into another Ibaka that never takes that next step. Also, he's going to get paid a max deal by someone, which would 100% scare me away from Noel.

7.) 18 Aug 2016 01:26:56
Yeah the money I defiantly agree with but, besides that fact I believe he is a better deffensive center than we have. I like your opinion though Bmiller.

They could always just try to sign him this summer and not deal with LA at all. Just a thought.

Brooklyn is not looking to win they're looking to eventually rebuild when they get their picks back so why take an ancient 6th man and a role player?

Why would any team do this? Sac gets older and loses a 1st, melo ends up on another lottery team at 32, and NY gets NOTHING for its franchise player.

not sure melo waives that no-trade clause but value works out for both teams. But with how bad NY treats him along with Portland having the most strip clubs per capita might be enough for him to waive it!
