Pelicans/Knicks

Pelicans get: Brandon Jennings & Justin Holiday

Knicks get: Terrence Jones, Quincy Pondexter, 2018 2nd

This trade gives the Pelicans some backcourt help that they need after the Cousins trade.

The Bulls should rebuild at the deadline, but that may not end up happening.

Bulls get: Lou Williams

Lakers get: Nikola Mirotic, Isaiah Canaan, 2018 1st

Only solid piece the Lakers care about is the future 1st rounder, but Mirotic's contract is needed for the trade to happen.

With Bulls uncertain about whether they want to keep Butler or not I think it would be beyond foolish for them to deal their 2018 pick.

I think Bulls should wait until the offseason to rebuild after seeing if they can convince any FAs to come. If Wade opts out they'll have over 50mill in cap space to play with plus mle on top of that. Its unlikely but they could put together a reasonable team around Butler in the offseason. Otherwise they probably should attempt to trade him to Boston and shouldn't consider guys like Williams.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be stupid, I'm saying that with the mess that is GarPax, you shouldn't be surprised by anything now.

Thunder/Bulls:

Thunder get: Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott

Bulls get: Victor Oladipo, Enes Canter, 2019 1st Round Pick, 2021 2nd Round Pick

Not enough for Butler.

Warriors/Kings/Knicks:

Warriors get: Ty Lawson, Justin Holiday

Kings get: Patrick McCaw

Knicks get: Ian Clark

The Warriors solidify their only possible weakness: their bench.

The Kings and Knicks give up two guys who likely get a healthy pay raise from someone in the offseason. They each get younger in their guard depth.

Weird, this front runner is Warriors fan and Cubbies fan, oops must be young. Sorry kid.

Biggest pet peeve is when I get called a bandwagon Cubs fan. Always have been, always will be. Also, not at all a Warriors fan. I'm a Bulls fan.

Also not sure why you think this is such a steal for the Warriors. They get 2 rental bench pieces, not multiyear stars.

Clippers/Cavs/Sixers

Clippers get: Robert Covington, Sergio Rodriguez

Cavs get: Austin Rivers

Sixers get: Iman Shumpert, Kay Felder

Clippers finally get a starting SF who can score and a good passing PG to help fill in while Paul is out. The Cavs get their playmaking point guard that can come off the bench. The Sixers get a defensive-minded SG to play alongside Embiid and Simmons, and Felder gives them more young depth.

If they already have covington, why would the sixers downgrade to shumpert?

The value isn't there for the Suns to take this deal. Hill's contract is arguably one of the worst in the NBA (behind Noah's), so the Suns do not benefit from getting rid of Knight's contract. Jones is a rental, and Pondexter will only get waived.

Classof2018: they can't unload Noah's contract.

I just don't see why the Bulls would take on Zeller's bad contract just to get a couple mid-to-late 2nd rounders. At least Mirotic and MCW are coming off the books after the season.

I think that is a lot for the Celtics to give up. Griffin in my mind should not be near as valuable as Butler or George, he can't stay healthy.
