Bulls get: Westbrook, Covington, 2020 2nd via Memphis

Rockets get: Markkanen, Satoransky, Porter Jr., 2020 1st (7th overall)

You do realize that the 2020 2nd from Memphis is protected from picks 31-55? That pick is not conveying to Houston to convey it to Chicago.

Houston only does this if they decide to tear down the entire team.

2.) 20 May 2020 04:04:32
Harden will be upset.

3.) 20 May 2020 13:14:42
I'm a bulls fan and I don't believe this will happen and I don't want it to happen. Houston had to give up, what, 5 firsts and CP3 and while Markkanen, Satoransky and OPJ r all worth firsts (Mid to late most likely), That still ius a huge underpay by the bulls.

4.) 20 May 2020 14:34:01
Houston traded Paul and two firsts. Definitely not 5.

5.) 20 May 2020 16:15:02
oof
lol
lmao.

6.) 20 May 2020 21:31:36
One of those 3 Bulls MIGHT be worth a first. That's about it.

7.) 21 May 2020 14:07:55
na, they r all worth firsts. Also, Y would the bulls do that, That would totally stop Coby White's development.

Jazz receive: Mike Conley, JaMychal Green

Grizzlies receive: Derrick Favors, Ricky Rubio, Grayson Allen, 2019 unprotected 1st round pick, 2 future 2nd round picks

Conley gives the Jazz their 3rd star and Green is a better frontcort pairing with Gobert than Favors.

Grizzlies clean up their cap sheet as they enter a rebuild while getting a few draft picks.

Lakers get: AD, Tim Frazier

Pelicans get: Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kris Dunn, 2019 1st Rnd Pick (Lakers), 2021 1st Rnd Pick (Bulls)

Bulls get: Lonzo Ball

1.) 30 Jan 2019 17:32:02
How does new Orleans put all those players on their roster, if they are only trading AD?

2.) 30 Jan 2019 18:22:29
Bulls would need to be also getting a first rounder.

3.) 30 Jan 2019 20:35:53
Bulls won't do that. I also highly doubt the Pels would send AD to the Lakers even if they would offer the best package.

28 Jan 2019 16:53:36
Pelicans trade: Jrue Holiday, Cheick Diallo

Bulls trade: Bobby Portis, Kris Dunn, Jabari Parker, 2020 1st Round Pick

*Parker added to match salaries

Is that an unprotected Bulls pick? Seems steep.

Bulls receive- Chandler Parsons, 2020 1st round pick

Grizzlies receive- Robin Lopez, Cristiano Felicio

Bulls get back a future first rounder by taking on a bad two year contract. Hurts their flexibility this summer, but they aren't seen as an appealing destination for top free agents this summer anyways.

Grizzlies get roughly 17 million in salary cap relief next season and a capable backup center in Lopez as they try to push for a playoff spot this year.

Besides the salary not matching, the return not being enough and not being able to trade back to back picks, the biggest problem with this is the Grizzlies released Parsons.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 18:36:53
Salaries match, Parsons has not been traded; they’ve agreed to part ways and are looking to find a trade.

3.) 07 Jan 2019 18:43:51
Parsons' hasn't been waived/ released yet. They agreed to move on, but they're still looking for a trade before they just waive him. Same situation as Melo is in.

4.) 07 Jan 2019 18:58:34
Once they announced the buy out process, it's likely they weighed their options and chose to waive Paraons over trading additional assets. It's a done deal.

5.) 07 Jan 2019 20:11:08
What will probably happen is that he doesn't play this year and then Memphis uses a lottery protected 2020 first after the draft for someone to take on the last year.

Although a waive and stretch wouldn't be completely painful either. 3 years at 8 mil/ year salary cap hit.

6.) 07 Jan 2019 20:34:17
I think they should just trade 2019 top 10 protected.

7.) 07 Jan 2019 20:45:43
Well if history can teach us something here, the Nuggets traded: Faried, Arthur, '19 1st lottery protected, 2020 2nd for Isaiah Whitehead. That was less than 20mil Flat salary dump. Parsons is 25mil, so I count a lottery protected 1st and then some. They'll waive him.

8.) 07 Jan 2019 21:51:40
Kings would consider it for a 2019 top 10 pick on draft day. There are a few wings in that area of the draft that would be perfect for the Kings to draft.

What did Atlanta get for taking and waiving Carmelo ($25 mil? )? Unload Schroeder and a late 2020 1st?

9.) 07 Jan 2019 22:23:49
'22 1st protected, becomes 2 2nds if not conveyed.

10.) 07 Jan 2019 22:34:01
Boston already owns Memphis's 2019 1st, so earliest they could trade is 2021.

11.) 07 Jan 2019 23:18:41
Correct oldskool, '19 MEM is also lottery protected. What if MEM has decided to develop and tank in a convincing way?

12.) 08 Jan 2019 05:01:46
I guess you missed the part where I said a draft day trade so that Memphis can navigate around the Stepien Rule. Memphis makes the selection for Sacramento and a week later Parsons (and the draft rights) fill up Sacramento's cap space created by the expired contracts of ZBo, Shumpert and MacLemore. Easy Peezy. I just don't think a lottery team can afford to give away draft picks like that.

13.) 08 Jan 2019 16:00:07
If they already traded half the pick? Then how would it be a Stepien rule violation? It's being done this season already not sure how an already traded pick would qualify? If it doesn't convey, and you want something still you might have to dance around the Stepien rule and BOS getting their pick too in the future? Those are called conditions. You are out of your depth with the Stepien rule man just stop. Your interpretation would penalize your own team if you were the GM. Read the rule, or just stop talking about it if all you want to do is tell everyone they are wrong in some game, rather than being serious about this. I don't play around on here like that please show me the same respect, or be genuine.

The value isn't there for the Suns to take this deal. Hill's contract is arguably one of the worst in the NBA (behind Noah's), so the Suns do not benefit from getting rid of Knight's contract. Jones is a rental, and Pondexter will only get waived.

Classof2018: they can't unload Noah's contract.

I just don't see why the Bulls would take on Zeller's bad contract just to get a couple mid-to-late 2nd rounders. At least Mirotic and MCW are coming off the books after the season.

I think that is a lot for the Celtics to give up. Griffin in my mind should not be near as valuable as Butler or George, he can't stay healthy.
