OKC Plan

OKC-2020 2nd Rd pick

Quincy Acy-Vet Min/35% Career 3P

Corey Brewer-Vet Min/36% C&S 3P with Thunder last year

Abdel Nader

OKC-Shumpert,Temple(Both Expiring)

SAC-Anthony(Expiring), 2020 & 2021( Protected Top 55) 2nds

OKC gets a good return on Anthony without having to give up a first round pick.

SAC gets an Anthony who, if anybody remembers, still averaged 16 points so he has a little bit of trade value. They also get rid of Shumperts bad contract and get a couple seconds. Temple is the only real talent value they have to give up, so this is kind of a win for them.

1.) 15 Jul 2018 08:33:12
Melo has a No trade clause. No reason for him to go in Sacramento.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 08:39:05
The 'ol no trade clause. The hits keep coming. What rhymes with cave is the only way out for okc.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 11:51:55
Here is what's going to happen with Anthony.
The Thunder are going to let him go for nothing and stretch his $28 million over 3 years.
The Rockets are going to sign him for peanuts in order to keep his buddy Chris Paul happy.
Houston will realize it has made a big mistake and by the All-Star break will be exploring ways to get rid of him.
No one will want him, and Anthony will be on the bench for most of however long the Rockets stay in the playoffs -- assuming he is not released by then.

4.) 15 Jul 2018 13:33:38
Weren't you guys part of the group of people saying George was going to LA and told me no way PG signs a long term deal☺

5.) 15 Jul 2018 14:30:09
U comparing okc with westbrook with resigning of George to Melo going to the kings. Oh boy smh. Shumpert and Temple does not help their offense to spread out. They don't need those guys, they have roberson. this make more sense

Kings get Hardaway 2 okc 2nd
Okc get Lee Thomas
Knicks get Melo Shumpert Abrines.

6.) 15 Jul 2018 14:46:49
If the kings are going after Capela they don't want to add on salary over several years. Temple and Shumpert would help with SF depth

7.) 15 Jul 2018 15:36:44
The kings have a less than 1% shot at landing Capella.

8.) 15 Jul 2018 18:14:02
Thats what they said about pg resigning with the Thunder a couple of months ago.😂

9.) 15 Jul 2018 20:26:25
Considerably different circumstance's but point taken. Rockets aren't letting capella go.

10.) 15 Jul 2018 20:42:50
Melo should wanna go to a team to be the man to prove he can play to get a contract next year. Like sac.

11.) 16 Jul 2018 06:19:05
I like Brooklyn for him too. Play in a system see if that can extend his career somewhat.

14 Jul 2018 20:51:26

2020 2nd

CHI-Anthony(Buyout),2021 2nd

OKC clears salary this year and doesn't have to pay 9.3 M for 3 years. They also get a pick.

CHI gets to clear space for the next couple of years after they waive Zipser and Stone.

1.) 14 Jul 2018 21:41:47
Asik is on the books season after next for 11mil. Feliciano is bulls largest guaranteed deal of 32 mil thru 20-21. This is going to cost okc much more.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 01:35:09
First of all its the 2018/19 season we are talking aboit which would mean felicio is only garunteed aboit 24 M over 3 years and Asik is garunteed only 14 M over 2 years. Asik is only garunteed 3M in his 2nd year. OKC can stretch Felicio's contract over 7 years and since technically Asik has two years becausw of the garunteed 3M OKC can stretch his contract over 5 years. To summarize if they do this deal and Waive and Stretch these 3 contracts plus Singler the only pay 8 M a year instead of 10 M a year with Melo.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 05:34:23
Asik has an early termination option. So yes i agree he will do nothing and take 4-5 mil he's guaranteed in '19-'20 and get waived. So I tally 22-23 mil this season, 13-14 next season. Melo would be flat out 24 (guessing) . I don't know what a 2nd rounder goes for but I'd think 40-45 tax included is pretty steep for a swap of seconds.

4.) 15 Jul 2018 15:44:23
I also left out another 9 mil of Feliciano 2 seasons from now.

OKC Next Moves

Noel-1y 4M

Felton-Vet Min

Beasley-Taxpayer MLE

Waive and Stretch

Melo 3y

Singler 5y

Westbrook/ Felton/ Hall (Rookie)
Roberson/ Abrines/ Diallo (Two-Way)
George/ Beasley/ Ferguson
Patterson/ Grant/ Hervey (Rookie)
Adams/ Noel/ Johnson

This is simple, but let me know what you think.

1.) 02 Jul 2018 05:07:09
Thunder should not stretch Melo. They would save 90 million this year but for the length of George's contract they would be paying bout 9 million a year which could be used to help add a good role player off the bench and build round Russ and George. They either need to negotiate a buyout, do nothing or trade him maybe close to trade deadline they could make something happen.

OKC Offseason

Paul George-1+1y max

Jerami Grant-2+1y 10m

Yogi Ferrell-1+1y 5m

Enes Kanter-MLE

Josh Huestis-Min

Corey Brewer-Vet Min

Hamiduo Diallo-Two-Way

Singler 8m

1.) 26 Jun 2018 01:02:05
It's a possible scenario but I doubt kanter is going to opt out. I just don't see anyone offering him 18 mil for one season. If someone offered a 4 year @ 13 he would probably decline the option and sign with them. His reps are testing waters guaranteed. MLE is very optimistic.

2.) 26 Jun 2018 01:02:49
Enes is 18.7 for mle 🤣🤞.

3.) 26 Jun 2018 01:05:09
Kanter won’t go back to OKC, especially for MLE.

4.) 26 Jun 2018 01:21:54
PG is not doing a 1 w/ option. He's going for the max at 28.

Kanter is not taking a MLE with an 18.6m option on the table, not a wise decision.

5.) 26 Jun 2018 22:09:14

The MLE is almost 25M.

The max for George is 30.1M.

6.) 27 Jun 2018 04:15:03
How did the mid level exception go from 8.6 to 25 mil? When?

Who do you think are the top 10 Centers in the NBA right now?

1.) 17 Nov 2018 03:06:28
Not in any particular order. Whiteside was tough to snub. I only listed only true centers no PF/ C's. My 1,2,3 is Embid, Jokic, Porzingis, even injured

2.) 17 Nov 2018 03:59:27
Not tryimg to complain, but isn't porzingis a PF/ C?

3.) 17 Nov 2018 04:30:05
I have a hard time calling a 7'3" guy a PF. I think his poor luck of supporting cast has something to do with the designation? If love were on the team would Love be the center over Porzingis and porzingis the PF over love? AD? And so on. Your correct, that's the positional listing. Whiteside did make the list after all! Cause for celebration!

4.) 17 Nov 2018 05:18:23
No Gobert or Davis?

5.) 17 Nov 2018 07:38:34
Davis calls himself a 4 and says he prefers the 4. Makes me wonder if he was upset about cousins? Gobert could easily make it I threw together in about 30 seconds.

6.) 17 Nov 2018 07:52:09
Joel E

7.) 17 Nov 2018 13:55:39

NOT in order.

8.) 18 Nov 2018 04:06:22
I forgot Drummond too.

11 Aug 2018 04:03:08
What are the top 5 Big 3's in the league right now?

1.) 11 Aug 2018 05:56:09
Irving-Hayward-Tatum/ Horford

2.) 12 Aug 2018 21:09:24

3.) 12 Aug 2018 22:10:54
Harden/ cp3/ capela.

26 Jul 2018 04:12:58
I think the thunder have the potential to have some unstoppable small ball lineups.

What could be be a few of their small ball lineups?

1.) 26 Jul 2018 07:09:42
I wouldn’t use the word “unstoppable”.
And that’s coming from a thunder fan.

2.) 27 Jul 2018 22:19:04
Could run the floor like crazy.

18 Jul 2018 19:15:19
NOW what are the power rankings after this Leonard trade.

1.) 18 Jul 2018 21:28:40
Did you seriously disagree with a question?

2.) 19 Jul 2018 15:21:39
I guess u must have some people that don't like you or something cause they disagreed with both of your questions. Lol.

17 Jul 2018 18:27:16
What do you think the power rankings are right now in the nba?

1.) 17 Jul 2018 18:47:47
2 Houston
3 Boston

2.) 17 Jul 2018 19:06:41
1 GS
2 Houston
3 Boston
5 Toronto
6 Philly
8 Minnesota
10 Washington
11 NO
12 Portland
13 Milwaukee
14 Miami
15 SA
16 Indy
17 Denver
18 Memphis
19 Cleveland
20 Detroit
21 LAC
22 Charlotte
23 Dallas
24 Phoenix
25 Chicago
26 Brooklyn
27 NY
28 Sacramento
29 Orlando
30 Atlanta.

3.) 17 Jul 2018 20:38:40
I don't think Houston is 2 anymore after they lost a couple of their key players. If they get Melo I know they aren't I say they are 3 or 4 now and 4 or 5 if they add Melo.

4.) 17 Jul 2018 21:19:15
I was tempted to put Boston over them, but Houston was far and away the 2nd best team last year. I need to see what they look like with the entire team together before I can do that.

Anyways Melo might be able to average 20 points and make it look like they are trying to win. Starting lineup-
Russell 6th-Dinwiddie

Might be convincing.
