Boston / Clippers Rozier & Yubu & Nador for Beverly and pick 13. Celtics drat Jontae Porter at 16 and Issac Bongo at 27.

How'd Boston get pick 16?

2.) 24 May 2018 19:15:39
If I'm the Celtics and making a trade, I'm trying to go big. I think Ayton or Jackson. They have the assets to get to 2 to 4. If they're making a trade, I think it's something like that on draft night unless a guy like Towns or Davis really can be had. Upgrading that Baynes spot is probably the last move they could make. They're great at the guard and forward spots, but only solid at the center spot.

3.) 25 May 2018 05:44:51
Theis, yabu, baynes, horford, Monroe, ojeleye isn't terrible. Pretty deep and cheap. A good sg could be appreciated as well but they're small forwards and pg's have been making up the difference because they are that good.

4.) 25 May 2018 17:07:51
I would only make that move on draft night if there was someone at 13 that they love. Rozier's value has never been higher, and I think that Yabu will develop into a very interesting big. Nader is an end of the bench guy who can give you some minutes, but is really just there for filler.

I really love Beverly, and he would be great in Boston, but I'm not sure how much I love him coming off the bench if they keep Smart around.

Boston; Trade deadline moves if the Lakers pick looks like it will be outside the top 5.
IT(S&T) to Clips for Beverly and removal of protection of 2019 pick.
It works on the trade machine but not sure what ITs free agency would do to his value. Would this work? Opinions!?

The trade-Thomas train left town when Boston swapped Fultz for Tatum. If they were going to move IT, Fultz would have been the replacement.

2.) 14 Jul 2017 16:15:29
What does the Lakers pick falling out of top 5 have to do with keeping IT? And I personally think that with IT on the Clippers that the protection would be worthless.

3.) 14 Jul 2017 21:15:07
I don't think trading IT at the deadline is unrealistic. If DA can find a deal that will benefit the C's this year at the deadline and in the future he wouldn't think twice about moving him. And on the flip side I think that at the deadline Jae Crowder could be flipped, he contract is a bargain and appealing to other teams, probably the reason why they kept him instead of AB.

4.) 15 Jul 2017 08:41:46
Taking the protection off the pick increases the value of it as a trade chip for Boston. Clips may be willing to do that instead of adding another pick to even the trade value. I don't think Boston is going to back up the Brinks truck and give IT a MAX contract.

5.) 17 Jul 2017 14:10:59
I hope Milos Teodosic will succeed in LA, but this is a great trade for LA.

I don't like this for Boston.
The Clippers will make the playoffs, so dropping the protection isn't a bigg deal.
I would keep IT unless they receive another superstar. I don't understand why Boston fans want to trade him.

Bos - Orl

Bradley for Vucevic

GRNBlood

1.) 20 Jun 2017 17:46:11
This would have made perfect sense on Friday. Now that they aren't getting Fultz, I'd have to see what the other shoe looks like when it drops. Vucevic brings exactly what they're looking for, but I need to know what their guard situation looks like before moving Bradley. If they bring in or draft a wing it might be better to move Crowder, especially if it's Hayward they bring in.

Bos / Sac
IT, Crowder and Zeller for WCS and #10.

Bos / NY
IT, Crowder and Zeller for OQuinn and #8.

Bos / NY
IT, Crowder and Zeller for Vucavic
and #6.

Which one would be better?

1.) 20 May 2017 14:34:03
Send IT back to the dysfunctional Kings team that didn't believe he can be the player he is today? They can simply just draft Fultz and sign Hayward and trade Bradley and some picks for a Center. Vucevic is on Orlando btw.

2.) 20 May 2017 16:34:52
They're all really terrible for Boston to me. They're in win now mode, they shouldn't be trading for more picks and really young players.

3.) 20 May 2017 18:02:50
It's a bit of a buzzkill for fans seeing Celtics be #1 seed and get to Eastern Conference Finals and then basically blow up the team by trading their best player IT. However, as displayed thus far in series with Cavs they still have a long way to go so I think they should shop IT. Issue is I can't imagine any of those teams giving up that much for IT as they are all bad and would be better off keeping a lotto pick than adding IT who is in final year of his deal and probably wouldn't even make any of those teams playoff teams. Best case scenario Celtics keep Fultz and IT, trade Bradley for a big and/ or cap space then just sign Hayward which would enable them to keep talent to win now while maintaining a bright future with Fultz, Brown and 2018 Brooklyn pick which will most likely be a big.

Celtic Pipe Dream
If Boston thinks it is unlikely to sign a top tier FA and they don't trade for a star.

Boston / Sac

IT, Crowder, Jackson, and Zeller for WCG and picks 5, 10 and Gay for salary purpose, ops out, let him walk.

Boston / ORL

Smart, Nader for #6

Draft
#1 Jackson
#5 Fox
#6 Ntilikina
#10 Z Collins

Boston Lineup

PG Rozier, Fox
SG Bradley, G Green, Ntilikina
SF J Brown, Jackson
PF Horfold, Mickey, Yub.
C WCS, Zizic, Z Collins

This would load Celtics up with even younger and more athletic talent that can play multiple positions they can develop while staying competitive until the Decline of CLE and GSW.

Makes no sense all kinda awful for every team.

2.) 18 May 2017 15:06:59
This would make the celtics go from eastern finals to a non playoff team.

3.) 18 May 2017 17:38:36
Celtics aren't getting any of those returns. Smart isn't a starting caliber pg and doesn't have upside of any of top 5 pgs in this draft. He isn't close to being worth a lotto pick let alone #6 especially as an expiring contract.

Similarly Kings are rebuilding they aren't going to give up two lotto picks and a solid prospect for IT who is an expiring contract and Crowder who is good but not great. You are delusional to think they'd get that type of return on IT let alone from a team like Kings that even with him would be awful.

With the importance of a good point guard and 3pt shooting in today's league Celtics would be foolish to not select Fultz with #1 pick (if they really wanted Jackson they should at least trade down) . Tatum likely wouldn't be available at #5 so I'd take Issac there instead.

What do you think Boston would have to give up to get Vucevic from Orlando?

GRNBlood

1.) 28 Dec 2016 13:12:15
My trade was Amir Johnson and the 2018 Brooklyn 1st for Vucevic and a 2nd.

2.) 28 Dec 2016 13:26:55
Simple really.

Brookyln pick in 2018 would get it done.

Marcus smart might get it done.

Both trades would need Amir Johnson involved to make the money work.

3.) 28 Dec 2016 21:50:21
I don't think a brooklyn pick needs to be included. Vuc is the odd man out in orlando and they clearly don't want him as they gave up major assets to bring in Ibaka and then signed Biyombo for top dollar after that. I don't think the market for offensive centers are great so I could see him going for some combo of Grizz and Clippers picks and young assets.

Not sure I like his fit in Boston. He would give them an upgrade in rebounding but not defensively. i do think he is talented tho and his price is attractive.

I would rather send Smart and keep Brown who may become a very good player in a couple years.

Hayward is not going anywhere. It would damage the trust between Brad And Danny. Plus discourage future free agents from coming to boston. Just my opinion.

Boston could try a trade of Smart, Jackson, Zeller for WCS and #10.
