Detroit get Irving, Nurkic, harkless, Jefferson, filler from Cleveland

Cleveland get Jackson, Crabbe, S Johnson, ish smith, det 1st, swap 1st Portland, Boston 2nd,

Portland get Drummond, shumpert.

Nurkic better Drummond. Stop it.

2.) 24 Jul 2017 00:43:05
I think Detroit is the only one who takes that deal.

3.) 24 Jul 2017 01:45:20
Portland says no.

4.) 24 Jul 2017 02:08:51
Detroit is getting way to much.

5.) 24 Jul 2017 05:57:19
Portland needs to make a move. They can't afford to pay Nurkic without unloading salary. Would it make more sense to swap harkless for turner? Give more cap relief.
Also Drummond had an off year and Nurkic is good but Drummond is still the better player and Allstar.

I thought this was solid for cavs but maybe they want another pick to rebuild after LBJ leaves next year.

6.) 25 Jul 2017 05:15:35
portland does it because of money.

Detroit trades Jackson, Leuer, protected 1st, 2nd via Orlando
Receive Green, Bledsoe, Oquinn

New York trade Lee, Oquinn, future protected 1st, Noah
Receive Jackson, Chandler

Phoenix trade Bledsoe, Chandler
Receive Leuer, Noah, 1st det, 2nd det via orl, future 1st NYK

Memphis trade green s&t
Receive Lee

Like the trade for everyone except Suns. Suns are giving up the best player in the trade in Bledsoe and Chandler who's contract isn't that bad any longer to take on Leuer (not a good contract but not terrible), Noah (awful contract) and are only compensated with Detroit 1st (I'd say that would be close to Bledsoe's value alone) and a future Knicks pick which I assume would have some protections.

2.) 11 Jul 2017 15:23:58
I thought 2 first rounders and a second would be enough.

Detroit trades Jackson
Receive JaMychal green s&t, Oquin

Houston trade Ariza, Anderson,
Receive Melo

New York trade Melo, Oquin, Lee
Receive Jackson, Parsons, Memphis picks

Memphis trade Parsons, Green s&t, picks
Receive Anderson, Lee, Ariza

Grizzly get much better shooting to make a playoff run.

Knicks add a pick for Melo while getting younger. While shedding salary.

Rockets would be pretty much the only to who could make Melo work and maybe revive his career. Maybe they would need another player added for depth. Lance T???

Detroit would need to get a starting pg but fix the issue at starting pf with Green who seamlessly fits with Dre. Maybe trade Leuer and a first for Bledsoe? Seems phx is tanking still and could use another first and quality backup big.

The Knicks are better off waiving Melo.

2.) 11 Jul 2017 02:16:13
Waiving Melo instead of assets and picks?

3.) 11 Jul 2017 05:00:58
Jackson and Parsons aren't assets. Detroit and Memphis would have to give up atleast a 1st to get rid of either of their contracts if not more. Plus they give up O'quinn who could fetch them atleast a 2nd or two if not a protected 1st. One 1st to take on those contracts isn't nearly enough.

4.) 11 Jul 2017 08:13:19
I agree with rkenne_16. Parsons is a solid player when healthy and Jackson is just a meh player that looked bad last year and has been lockeroom issue in the past. Knicks would owe them a combined 125 mill over the next 3 years which would greatly hinder their flexibility (especially after THJ signing) and basically just waste 3 years of Porzingis. Knick would be better off stretching Melo who has only 1 year + player option left on his contract (not sure how player options are treated when a player is waived) .

Great trades for Grizzlies and Pistons to unload these bad contracts and guys who have been hurt lately to get solid contributors in return. I'm not crazy about Rockets giving up Ariza and Anderson for Melo since I feel like they have plenty of offense and need versatile guys like Ariza that can defend multiple positions. Especially when there is still a chance they could get Melo for nothing if he gets bought out.

Detroit trades Jackson, gbinije
Receive jamychal green, Mudiay

Denver trade chandler, Mudiay, Barton
Receive Jackson, Gbinije,

Memphis trade s&t j. Green, (3yrs 40 milish)
Receive Chandler Barton

Memphis needs help with shooting on the wing. They have a glut of bigs so moving one who's about to get paid might not hurt so bad.

Denver gets the pg they need but still need to move faried. I can't see it happening without adding a first... maybe add a first +faried to Detroit for Leuer?

Detroit could use a pf who plays D, shoots open 3s and does the dirty work. ish smith, Galloway and mudiay can hold down the pg position until something better turns up.

Reggie Jackson isn't good, ball dominant, one of worst defenders at pg (Nuggets were one of worst defensive teams in the league), his teammates hate him, he is overpaid and not sure he even has positive trade value.

Denver shouldn't give up anywhere close to that much for him. They'd be much better going after Bledsoe who has health concerns but is a borderline top 10 pg and elite defender (while still 20 ppg scorer) when healthy.

Green isn't worth that much normally and Grizzlies certainly aren't getting that type of return in a sign and trade.

Sacramento trade Landry, Thompson, outlaw, mclemore
Receive Smith, Datome, Mitchell

Detroit trades smith, Jennings, Datome, Mitchell, 2nd rd dp
Receive young, Landry, mcdaniels, outlaw

Philadelphia trade young, mcdaniels,
Receive mclemore, Jennings, Thomson, 2nd (det)

Sac lands smith and two prospects while dropping Thomson Landry and outlaw. Mclemore is replace by stauskis.

Pistons get a one year trial on young to backup Drumroe, a defensive sf prospect that they need while letting Smith and Jennings move on. (they both need a change of scenery)

Philly get 3 young prospects with a lot of upside and a pick for young who they reportedly would like to move.

Seems fair all around.

Give Utah that first and take out the 2nd. Favors has value. Andersons contract is just to high to be an asset.

No reason for Detroit to blow it up this year. They just got Avery Bradley and want to make the playoffs. Maybe next year.

They're trying to build a team without getting early loto picks. Tough going in NBA purgatory. If Jackson comes back healthy and plays like 15/ 16 season Detroit makes the playoffs.
