76ers - Celtics

Simple trade that helps both teams

Boston Recieve - j okafor
76ers Recieve - j brown

1.) 17 May 2017 10:13:46
Boston says no I'm sure they could get a much better return the that.

2.) 17 May 2017 13:39:32
Boston doesn't just say no, they laugh Philly off the phone. Philly needed to move a center this past season, and moved Noel for pretty much just two second round picks. If they could have gotten anything for Okafor, I'm sure they would have moved him instead. No way is Boston moving Brown for him unless you also want to include that #3 pick. That honestly would be a lateral move, as that pick would likely be Jackson who's a very similar player, but less developed.

PHILLY Trade J. Okafor

PHX Trade B. Knight

Depth charts
PG - Knight / Bayless
SG - Henderson / stauskas / Luwawu
SF - Covington / (Tatum - 4th)
PF - Simmons / Saric
C - Embiid / Holmes / resign Splitter

PG - Bledsoe / Ulis
SG - Booker / ( Jackson - 2nd)
SF - Warren / Dudley
PF - Chriss / Williams / Bender
C - Okafor / Len / Chandler

1.) 03 May 2017 20:43:39
Philly should have no interest in knight.

25 Apr 2017 09:32:01
I think Portland should look into splitting the guard combo of lillard & mccollom combo to take the next step!

So my ideas are
Trade McCollum for jabari Parker + 1st

McCollum for Dario Saric + 1st

McCollum + vonleh + 1st for j butler + 2nd

1.) 25 Apr 2017 15:39:57
I wouldn't touch Parker, that's not something I'd ever consider.

Saric and a top 5 pick is good value, I just don't think Portland would be interested in rebuilding around a top 5 pick.

Butler would be a great fit with Lillard.

Perhaps a mixture of the last two:

Phili gets McCollum
Chicago gets picks #4 and #15, and one of crabbe/ harkless, and Leonard
Portland gets Butler and Saric.

2.) 25 Apr 2017 18:05:17
Butler would be the dream and I think with 3 1sts in this years draft Portland may have the ammunition if he is available. Bulls would also be a place they could potential dump young guys with bad contracts like Crabbe, Harkless or Leonard to get Portland out of luxury (a rebuilding Bulls team could use the talent since Crabbe and Harkless would probably start for them without Butler and they wouldn't need as much cap space) . Although with Bulls and Butler's performance thus far in playoffs he may not be available.

Not too keen of the other moves. Parker presents unnecessary risk and similar to McCollum outside of scoring he doesn't contribute much (Parker isn't a special rebounder for his size/ position) . Saric and 1st isn't awful as they could get Monk with that pick who projects to be a similar type of player however, it feels like an unnecessary step back for a promising team that should be trying to move forward.

Bmiller66's idea of combining two is interesting too. McCollum would be a perfect fit in 76ers as he gives them a go-to scorer who can light it up from outside and play off-ball with Simmons while having skills to run pg at times and is young enough to fit that team. I think the offer to Chicago would have to be bolstered a bit (maybe Saric goes there) and if they wanted to dump contracts which would be wise, Portland would likely have to add its other two 1sts. Bulls may prefer to just get McCollum and a 1st (or other pieces) themselves since McCollum is young enough to build around, signed long term and I think his game would rise to another level being able to be #1 offensive option and having ball in his hand more (he also could make a pretty good point guard) .

It doesn't necessarily have to be moving McCollum but I think Portland has to make a move with their 3 1sts. Getting Butler one of the best-two players in the league and clearing up cap space by moving two guys like Crabbe and Leonard I think would be a strong offseason.

3 way Phi/ Sac/ Nop

Philly trade okafor
Philly receives mclemore and sac 2019 1st rnd pick

Sac trade mclemore and 2019 1st rnd pick
Sac receive Evans and Nop 2019 1st rnd pick

Nop trade Evans and 2019 1st rnd pick
Nop receive okafor.

1.) 23 Aug 2016 14:06:31
Lol no from Sac and Philly.

2.) 23 Aug 2016 14:12:38
I'd like to see either Noel or okafor play with AD. Not sure a pick 3 years from now gets it done though.

3.) 23 Aug 2016 14:21:21
That 2019 1st rd pick of sac is own by sixers already.

4.) 23 Aug 2016 15:57:27
Philly say no. Not enough immediate return. And 2019 is way to far away to care about. Not to mention the sac pick isn't tradable at all as they already trade their 2018 pick to the Sixers. So no no no no.

09 Aug 2016 09:37:10
I like this one for both teams

Paul millsap for Kevin Love.

1.) 09 Aug 2016 10:42:03
Milsap is better than Love. So Cavs need to add something. Maybe Mo. Williams.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 10:56:24
But he only has 1 yr left of contract.

3.) 09 Aug 2016 12:56:04
I think Atlanta would need to add a sweentner.

4.) 09 Aug 2016 13:09:59
Millsap is so old though. It makes sense for both teams. Millsap is better then love but his age drops his value s bit in my book. So a straight up trade makes some sense.

5.) 09 Aug 2016 13:49:00
Also love pair's up better with Dwight.

6.) 09 Aug 2016 13:57:40
Toss in Korver and some filler back to Atlanta.

Just because the trade makes sense directionally doesn't mean the Cavs will be shortchanged on value.

7.) 09 Aug 2016 14:37:29
By the time millsaps age comes into play love's contract will be just about over and he'll leave. I don't think it should be taken too much into account.

Millsap has never been to swift of food anyway so I could see him playing effectively into his mid 30's.

8.) 09 Aug 2016 14:59:21
I'll throw in THJ...

My draft predictions

1. Fultz - Philadelphia (via kings)
2. Jackson - Orlando
3. Ball - Boston
4. Tatum - Phoenix
5. Monk - Philadelphia (via lakers)
6. Fox - Sacramento (via 76ers)
7. Isaac - Minnesota
8. Smith - New York

1.) 11 May 2017 13:17:47
Given the draft lottery's shady history, I see little chance that the Lakers do not get one of the top two picks. Would not shock me to see them get No. 1. The NBA needs a strong team in LA for TV ratings, and the lottery is the one way the league can help make that happen.

2.) 11 May 2017 16:12:29
Why would the Celtics take Ball?

3.) 12 May 2017 01:00:11
Best option after the top 2 preferences are gone!

4.) 12 May 2017 17:06:26
He does not fit in Boston. Tatum or Isaac or a trade would be a way better option.

08 May 2017 23:45:31
Rudy Gay has opted for Free Agency
Possible teams that he could fit

Wash ( if porter leaves )
Nyk ( if Anthony leaves )

Lac ( if lose 1 of big 3 )

1.) 09 May 2017 09:18:48
Since he opted out of his 14.2 mil salary, he will likely command something in 17-20 range (he could even get more from Nets maybe), so Pelicans, Grizzlies, Thunder don't have the space to sign him currently.

2.) 09 May 2017 10:41:31
I think Miami would be a favorable destination for him although they may be more interested in retaining Waiters and Johnson they shelling out what it would cost to get Gay.

3.) 09 May 2017 13:04:48
thought about Miami but think they will go after bigger fish ( gallinari, Hayward )

Not sure he will receive 20 mill, he's probably looking to secure a longer contract coming off an injury! Nets could offer that but I see them just playing lavert and RHJ more!

14 Apr 2017 05:37:29

1. K. Durant - GSW
2. S. Curry - GSW
3. B. Griffin - IND
4. C. Paul - SAS
5. G. Hayward - UTA
6. K. Lowry - TOR
7. P. Millsap - UTA
8. J. Holiday - NOP
9. D. Gallinari - LAC
10. S. Ibaka - TOR
11. G. Hill - UTA
12. D. Wade - DEN
13. O. Porter - WAS
14. J. Teague - IND
15. P. Gasol - SAS
16. G. Monroe - BKN
17. A. Iguodala - MEM
18. K. Caldwell-pope - DET
19. N. Noel - DAL
20. D. Rose - LAC
21. J. Redick - MIN
22. N. Mirotic - CHI
23. R. Gay - CHI
24. T. Gibson - ORL
25. E. Ilyasova - ATL
26. T. Evans - NYK
27. P. Mills - WAS
28. S. Livingston - GSW
29. K. Korver - CLE
30. Z. Randolph - MEM

1.) 14 Apr 2017 08:05:12
As much as I'd like to see Indy and Utah make those moves neither have the salary cap to make those moves as their roster currently stands. Indy doesn't have Teague's Bird Rights and I think only have in mid 20 mill in cap room so it would be difficult to add Griffin. Its not impossible but they'd have to move most if not all of Young, Jefferson, Ellis, and Stuckey. If they did they'd have a solid starting lineup but absolutely no bench with little to no cap space to address it. CJ Miles is probably declining his option for a raise too which will hurt them even more.

For Utah they have Hayward's Bird rights so he isn't an issue but they'd need cap space to sign both Hill and Millsap. To do so they'd have to decline Diaw's option then move Favors, Burks, and Johnson. I'd really like to see this happen since that Jazz team would still have a respectable bench and that starting lineup would be tough. They'd be paying luxury tax for the next 4 years tho.

I think Utah is more likely than Indy scenario since I don't see Griffin leaving LA.

2.) 14 Apr 2017 08:14:31
Don't think Taj to Orlando makes sense for both parties. Orlando should be going young and allowing minutes for Gordon, Vucevic and Biyombo while Taj should want to be on a contender. Don't see Patty Mills going to Washington either since they are already over the cap and Jennings or Burke would probably be cheaper to just retain. Don't think there is a good fit for Wade anywhere unless he is willing to take a massive pay cut, Gary Harris played very well this year so not sure Denver would want to disrupt his development by bringing in Wade.

Clippers would be absolutely screwed if Paul, Griffin and Reddick left. I would say they may be better off trying to deal Jordan and rebuilding but they have traded away most of their draft picks so signing Galo and Rose would at least keep them somewhat watchable.

Spurs would need to do some wiggling to sign Paul (have to trade Parker and if they wanted to sign Gasol too he'd need to take a 10 mill+ paycut) but that would be a perfect fit.

3.) 14 Apr 2017 08:38:55
I see Utah moving favors so that would shed some $ for milllsap not 100% what their salary is like

Indiana is going to go one way or another! Rebuild or go for it all with griffin that starting 5 is elite

Orlando needs some leadership that why I picked Gibson to go their

Clips could stay the same but they haven't had succes so I see 1 or both Paul and griffin leaving

Denver went for wade last year he won't get paid highly but he is quickly running out of options.

4.) 14 Apr 2017 13:46:54
The Spurs would have a hard time getting the capspace to sign Paul, I don't see the Clippers making those moves if Paul and Griffin leave, I think Livingston looks for a pay check this year, Patty Mills is going to get way to much money from a fringe playoff team (more than the Wizards could offer), Wade will opt in since his open market value is tanking, I could see Caldwell-Pope being offered the max by someone and Detroit not wanting to match it because how far they are over the cap, and Zbo might end up chasing a ring.

28 Aug 2016 14:00:31
These are the teams that should consider trading for either Noel or okafor in my opinion

Noel - Boston, bucks, hornets, cavs, Portland, lakers, pelicans

Okafor - Boston, hornets, Portland, pelicans.

1.) 28 Aug 2016 14:07:45
I'm sure the Celtics have looked at this from every possible angle, and -- right or wrong -- have come to one of two conclusions:
1. Neither is a good fit
2. Philly's asking price is too high.

Boston wants to play at a fast pace to maximum the value of its deep roster. Okafor doesn't fit that. And the Celtics also need outside shooting, and the player the Sixers would probably want -- Bradley -- is their best shooter.

2.) 28 Aug 2016 15:13:57
I think Noel will be the one traded, and Cleveland makes the most sense to me. The Cavs have enough offense with LeBron and Irving both capable of taking over a game. Nobody will even come close to matching the warriors firepower on offense, so having a defense capable of slowing the warriors down should be the plan of attack. Noel can guard 3 positions, depending on the game plan. I think he is a tremdous counter move to the warriors acquisition of Durant. Noel is 22, athletic, very quick, and a tremendous defensive force. The kind of teammate king James would enjoy. I think a Noel and Covington for Love and Mo Williams would be a good trade for both teams. Williams is probably going to retire, and Cleveland cam ris themselves of his salary plus clear a roster spot. Cleveland and Philly seem to have a god working relationship. Let's make it happen.

3.) 28 Aug 2016 16:37:12
HAHA so essentially you place Noel for Love straight up? The other 2 are clearly fillers what's even better. you claim the counter move to signing arguably the best offensive player in the league is to trade for Noel? So Noel is the Durant-stopper now?

Durant played 1 game against the sixers last year. 26pts, 13reb, 6 assists while shooting almost 70% from the field. Not really sure how that constitutes a counter move. But go on.

4.) 28 Aug 2016 18:13:23
@hamburger he really wrote an entire essay, thesis and all, to come up with a horrible Noel for Love trade LOLOL.

5.) 29 Aug 2016 19:43:20
Yeah, jvung has a habit of doing that. Then attacking anyone who actually reads it lol. Classic. But then again, Noel just won DPOY, right? Oh wait. He didn't. But he's the greatest defensive prospect ever. He will single handedly stop curry, Thompson, durant and green. Go JVUNG!

6.) 29 Aug 2016 20:24:50
Also, as a funny note. He points out two key reasons. one, it clears up a roster spot for the cavs, and 2, they get rid of loves salary.

1st. he goes on to specifically say the williams is likely retiring, so they give up 1 player and 1 that will retire for 2 people. so actually, they lose a roster spot

2nd. noel is on a rookie contract this year, and as many have seen and stated, he will be getting a rather massive extension because the cap allows it. So yeah, when he's making near what love is making.

not sure how that all works. guess its one of those 2+2=6 deals.

7.) 30 Aug 2016 13:49:47
I think okafor to Pelicans makes the most sense
But what do they have to offer
Maybe Evans or heild + future 1st?

I like the patty mills signing! He and Simmons could create chemistry for the Aussie national team as well.

Ballsy, but I like it for both teams Orlando aren't getting what they need at 6 and that Philly lineup could grow into something special.

I think the Denver deal is the best here and could potentially get them into the playoffs while giving the suns a decent pick in return.
