Celtics Monster Team

Trade

Celtics get: Davis

NOLA get: Brown, Crowder and Smart + 3rd Pick, 18 Nets Pick and 18 LA Pick / 19 SAC Pick

Free Agency: Sign Hayward

IT- Avery - Hayward- Al - Davis

Bench: Rozier, Zizic, Yabusele + some vets and this years 2nd rounder.

1.) 19 Jun 2017 11:18:53
People need to understand Celtics financial situation. If they renounce all their FA and waive guys like Zeller and Mickey on non-guaranteed deals they get just shy of being able to give Hayward the max. Thus in order for them to be able to add Davis too they must match his almost 24 mill contract with their outgoing salaries.

This particular trade is close salary wise but I think they make it if you consider they aren't keeping the #3 draft pick (so don't have its cap hold) .

My only concern with Pelicans trading Davis is that it would likely mean they'd have to trade Cousins too since I don't think he'd resign to a Davis-less Pelicans team with a bunch of younger guys. I think this factor makes them not deal Davis since they wouldn't get fair value on Cousins with him in final year of his contract.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 14:32:55
AD is not coming to the Celtics! Wait-trade idea- AD for IT, Bradley Crowder, Horford and #3 this year and first rounder next year. Deal?

3.) 19 Jun 2017 15:18:16
Celtic fans stop thinking AD is going anywhere for at least 3-4 years. and not to mention the number 3 pick isn't close enough. you don't trade a 22 yr old superstar who's locked up long term, wake up.

4.) 19 Jun 2017 15:24:28
Every day another Celtic fan comes up with another lame AD trade idea. And every day they will be disappointed when it NEVER happens.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 18:57:56
I still don't think that team come see close to beating lebron.

Cavs - Pacers

Cavs get: Paul George

Pacers get: Kevin Love

Simple Trade that makes sense for both Teams

1.) 13 Jun 2017 14:52:14
Love it for the Cavs. Hate it for the Pacers. It's possible if the rest of the market is scared off by the Laker rumors and the Lakers don't go all in for George, but even then the Pacers might be better off with a third team involved. Boston would be ideal, but I think both the Cavs and Boston wouldn't be interested in helping each other out.

2.) 13 Jun 2017 15:03:43
I rather lose George for nothing than trade him for Love.
Love is a great player, but Indy would still be a mediocre team that could make it to the first round.

We better go high in the draft and tank if we can't trade George for picks or young players.

So we prefer trading him to;
Boston for a Nets pick+Player
To LA for Ingram or/ and the 2nd pick
Philly for the third pick+player
Phoenix for Bender and the 4rd pick (Fox)
Or Portland could trade for 3 first round picks

Personally i think George would like to stay in Indy and get the 200 M contract, i'm only not sure any player is worth a 200M contract.
And i think PG would like to win a Championship, so he would likte to go to Boston or San Antonio over LA (Unless Ball is better than Curry)

3.) 13 Jun 2017 18:25:33
Indiana will have several better offers than Love for George.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 19:04:43
I think Cavs would need to bring in a 3rd team to make it work for Pacers but they should call all 28 other teams to try and make this work. Adding George for Love is about one of the surest ways Cavs could improve defensively and offensively. They also need to hope that George potentially signing with lakers scares away other suitors driving down the price and that Lakers don't make a move for him themselves. I wouldn't say its likely but not completely impossible either.

Celtics perfect offseason

1. Draft Markelle Fultz, trade our 2nd Rounders

2.Trade Avery Bradley to Sacramento for Willie Cauley-Stein and a 2nd Round Pick - sorry Avery, i love him as aplayer but we need the cap space

3. sign Gordon Hayward, Chris Bosh(if healthy), Gerald Green, Andrew Bogut

4. Bring in Yabusele and Zizic

5. Let Johnsin,Jerebko, Olynyk and Young walk in FA

Celtics 17-18 Team

PG: Thomas - Rozier - Jackson
SG: Fultz - Smart - Green
SF: Hayward - Crowder - Green
PF: Horford - Bosh - Yabusele
C: Zizic - Cauley Stein - Bogut

This is a realistic scenario that would give us a great present and a bright future.

1.) 24 May 2017 07:39:20
So you start Zizic over WCS?

2.) 24 May 2017 10:07:10
You don't know Ante Zizic right?! He is much better than WCS.

3.) 24 May 2017 14:21:31
Where's brown.

4.) 24 May 2017 16:39:20
No Brown. He should be on there in place of Green. Most importantly, there's no way if healthy that Bogut is the third center in that group. I like WCS a lot, and I'm very excited for Zizic, but Bogut does everything they need in that starting lineup. If you're bothering to pay for him, he's your starter.

You probably need to make another move though. Brown is going to have to get playing time as he's going to be a stud. If Hayward is there, I don't know if you want to keep Crowder. I think he'll wind up being a problem if his minutes dwindle too much. I'd move him and Rozier along with kids like Jackson and Mickey. If you move all of them along with Bradley and the second rounders, you might be able to bring in someone who is better than WCS and Bogut at the C spot. That's not going to get you someone like Davis, even with the 18 Brooklyn pick, but it'll start the conversation for some other guys.

5.) 24 May 2017 19:58:23
Sorry, i forgot him.

There is a lot of talk about Celtics offseason. I think this one is realistic and a great for Boston.

1. We get lucky in the lottery and get the 1st pick

2. Draft Night: Draft Fultz with the 1st pick. Trade Bradley( I love him, but his contract expires, and we must look for the future cap situation) to Minnesota for a future 1st Rounder. Draft Bell in the 2nd Round and trade they other 2nd Round picks.

3. Let walk Olynyk, Johnson, Micky, Young, Jerebko and Jackson

4.Free Agency: Sign Hayward(4year max),Sign Ian Clark with our MLE (8.4Mil) to a 4 year 33.6 Mil deal, Sign Andrew Bigut(Vet. Min) Sign Aaron Brooks (Vet.Min) and brung back Gerald Green for the Vet. Min.

Celtics 17-18

PG: Thomas ' Rozier ' Brooks
SG: Fultz ' Smart ' Clark
SF: Hayward ' Brown ' Green
PF: Crowder ' Yabussele ' Bell
C: Horford ' Zizic ' Bogut

This is a great Team with a big future.

1.) 30 Apr 2017 11:53:34
Harry, there are some problems here:
1. Between bad luck and the NBA rigging the lottery, we always get screwed over. I expect nothing less this year. Others may be counting on Fultz, but I'm not.
2. Not opposed to trading Bradley, but in your scenario next year's rotation would have three rookies and a second-year player. Young teams lose.
3. Thomas, Fultz, Hayward, Crowder and Horford. Who is going to rebound? You've traded away the team's best rebounder (Bradley) for a draft pick.
4. Speaking of draft picks, why would we need another one? The Celtics have enough to get them into the next century.

2.) 30 Apr 2017 14:16:18
Not bad. Maybe instead of going after picks for Bradley, they could go after a Center or Pf who can rebound. I highly doubt Bogut takes the minimum to play for that team.

3.) 30 Apr 2017 16:30:23
Would Boston be able to resign IT if they sign another max guy like Hayward with already having an overpaid horford?

4.) 30 Apr 2017 17:52:17
Simmonsorbust, I believe Bradley and Thomas are both signed for another year. Their contracts wouldn't affect any signings this summer, but two years from now the Celtics would be deep in the luxury tax if they kept both and added another max guy.

5.) 01 May 2017 02:27:24
C's are not going to sign Bogut. Bradley is not going to get traded. And maybe they do draft Fultz, but if they don't have the chance to get him they will trade that pick, they might just trade that pick even with the first pick. They need a big man that will dominate the paint and boards. I think they'll retain Olynyk if he'll take a 2yr with an option contract and trade IT if they can get more value than he's worth.

BOSTON CELTICS MISSION 18

1.Draft Markelle Fultz(Playes one Year of the Bench, 2nd Year Starter after we trade IT or don't resign him)

2.Sign Gordon Hayward to max. Deal

3. Trade:

Bos gets: Paul George and CJ Miles

Ind gets: Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart, Jaylon Brown and Tyler Zeller + 18 Nets Pick, 19 Clippers Pick

4. Bring in Ante Ziziz and Gourschon Yabusele

5. Sign Festus Ezeli, Jonas Jerebko Gerald Green and Matt Barnes to vet. minimum

Works financially. So let's to it.

Celtics 17/18

PG: Thomas-Fultz-Rozier
SG: Hayward - Green - Young
SF: George - Miles - Barnes
PF: Crowder - Jerebko - Yabusele
C: Horford - Zizic - Ezeli

This Team can win the Title

1.) 07 Mar 2017 11:00:58
i should keep I Thomas
He's playing awesome basketball.
People still judge him because he's 5ft9
well, A Iverson was only 6ft0
He produce 29.5points and 6.2 assists. Maybe he isn't the best defender, but he isn't bad eather and Boston also has Smart, who can defend 1-4, A Bradley and J Crowder, all players that are great defenders.
If Boston resign him, he will be 34, when his contract ends.

We all like to fantasize about trading the Nets picks, but Ainge is doing a smart thing, keeping the picks unless there's an offer he can't refuse.

2.) 07 Mar 2017 17:07:29
Paul george trade is horrible for Celtics, especially cause he is on an expiring deal.

3.) 01 Apr 2017 10:04:05
Harryceltic14 I agree I'd keep Thomas too! His offense is too good! But to say his defense is not bad is ignorant.. it's ranked dead last in NBA I believe lol at least among point guards

CELTICS DRAFT

One thing is clear now. The Celtics must keep the 1st pick in this years draft. There is no player we can aquire in a trade that brings is just in the near of the warriors. Celtics should build a team that can compete in 3-4 years. I can not see a team who wins a 7 game series against this warriors in the next 2-3 years.

1.) 08 Jun 2017 08:31:19
Injuries are the only thing that's going to stop them.

Celtics Master Plan

Draft Night trade:

1. BOS get: Cousins and Acy (Waive)

SAC get: Smart, Sullinger, Johnson and Young + 2016 Nets Pick (1-4), 2016 Mavs Pick, 2018 Nets Pick and a couple 2nd Rounder.

2. BOS get: Faried

DEN get: Olynyk, Bradley + 2016 Celtics Pick and 2017 Nets Pick

Free Agency:

Sign: Durant, C. Lee, G. Green, Bass, Perkins and Bayless
Resign: Turner

Celtics 16/ 17 Team

Thomas ' Rozier ' Bayless
Crowder ' Lee ' Hunter
Durant ' Turner ' G. Green
Faried ' Bass ' Mickey
Cousins ' Perkins ' C from the 2nd Round in the Draft

This Team is a Contendor. Every one loves to play for Coach Stevens. Banner 18.19., .

1.) 09 Apr 2016 21:52:50
too much for Faried rather keep bradley and olynyk with that.

16 Mar 2016 23:15:25
Build a Monster in Americas best Sports Place.

1. Draft: If we can not get Pick 1 or 2 we should Draft my Austrian Friend Jalob Pöltl. He is a great Guy.

2.FA:KD is interessted in Boston and he is a good friend of Al Horford who also wants to play for the Celtics. Sign both and we are a titke Contendor.

Thomas
Bradley
Durant
Crowder
Horford

This Team can win it all.

1.) 17 Mar 2016 00:59:09
Anyone can say they like a city or state or country but that doesn't mean they're going there. If kd likes Alaska, will he move there? No.

2.) 17 Mar 2016 05:03:02
I don't think he's your friend if you can't even spell his last name right, it's Poetl.

3.) 17 Mar 2016 13:53:06
hahah, well done NBA. echoing theking. durant has now stated he loves his hometown of DC, he loves NY because of a unicorn, he loves boston because they are a team and he loves okc because he has always loved it and wants to finish his career there.

at this point, people need to stop discussing where he is going, or acting like he is giving hints. he has legitimately not thought about it at all. He will figure it out in the offseason. This is a very nice dream scenerio, but there is zero indication its even possible.

4.) 18 Mar 2016 04:25:26
If players signed with a team just because he likes the city, everybody would pretty much play with the Lakers and Clippers.

5.) 20 Mar 2016 04:37:09
I think Lakers will get the number one pick then Celtics are number two. Then Sixers at number 3.

6.) 20 Mar 2016 13:05:41
That's perhaps the worst spot for the Sixers. No guard is worth that pick and they miss Ingram. They'd trade up or trade down but they would not pick at 3. And I'm not sure what team would want to move into the 3 spot, either moving up or down.

If the Celtics won't him, Cavs have no chance to get him. Celtics can offer a much better package. But they will only to this if PG sign an extension.

Joke, right?! Kanter has not that value, he only has one year left on his contract. Celtics never give up Crowder an Smart for this return. 0% that trades happens.

Danny will never trade the 1st Pick for Klay Thompson. He is simply not worth that.
