Celtics - Pelicans Blockbuster

Celtics get: Anthony Davis

Pelicans get: Al Horford, Jaylen Brown + Lakers Pick 18 / Kings Pick 19, Celtics Pick 19 and Clippers Pick 19

I think there is a Chance that this trade will happen. If the Pelicans continue to struggle they will trade Cousins first ( Contract expires in 2018) and than trade Davis to make a Rebuild.

1.) 08 Dec 2017 23:20:27
With the way the team has been playing Celtics definitely don't make this trade. don't need AD they'll pass.

2.) 08 Dec 2017 23:38:43
Unless they get a ridiculous package, they're going to try to do a quick rebuild around AD. They would need to get more. Maybe find a third team that would be willing to give up some decent assets for Horford.

3.) 09 Dec 2017 00:23:10
Not enough for AD.

4.) 09 Dec 2017 03:03:58
This is tough. Celtics are playing really really good basketball and Al Horford is a major part of it. Hard for the Celtics to pass on AD but this will depend on what their goal is.

5.) 09 Dec 2017 05:54:44
echoing some previous responses, i don’t think this is a move u make mid-season, the c’s are just playing too well right now. tatum would prob have to be included in a trade too. if AD can be gotten next offseason or the year after, the c’s would have to really contemplate the pros/ cons. obvs AD is a once in a generation kind of talent, but u don’t necessarily want to dismantle a contending team if that’s what it will take to bring him in.

6.) 09 Dec 2017 11:26:10
I think you can't pass on this offer.
Celtics should go for AD, when they have a chance.

7.) 09 Dec 2017 14:45:43
AD will never be a Celtic, especially for that offer.

8.) 09 Dec 2017 22:00:29
Horford, spacing and passing would be missed in Boston. Cousins to Boston is a better deal to me. He is a good passer, not as good as horford, but can shoot 3's as well. No Jaylen brown. He is a a great 2-way player/ wing. Rare in this league. Horford, picks, Rozier? Maybe take back a guy like Asik for compensation? Doubtful though these 2 teams can help each other.

21 Jul 2017 21:15:46
Kyrie Irving wants out of Cleveland.Celtics should trade for him.

Celtics get: Irving

Cavs get:IT, Crowder and Rozier + Nets Pick.

Its a great Deal for all.

1.) 21 Jul 2017 23:44:44
Value wise it makes a lot of sense for both teams, but I'd have to imagine the Cavs aren't going to trade him to Boston unless they get a small fortune in return.

2.) 22 Jul 2017 01:14:13
I think its a solid deal value wise but this offer would have to be significantly better than the others for Cavs to deal with a rival. The combo of IT and Crowder may arguably be better for Cavs than Irving, and Nets pick and Rozier sets them up decently for the future. The issue is Celtics will still be pretty darn good now and with adding Kyrie likely would stay good for awhile with them already having a few promising young pieces and lots of picks still in the cupboard.

I think it makes a lot of sense for Celtics since it helps things financially a ton, getting Kyrie is a safer long term bet than Nets pick (Nets may not even finish with that bad a record since they added some talent and are in the east and even some lotto picks turn into busts) and moving Crowder allows more minutes for guys like Brown and Tatum to develop.

15 Jul 2017 20:13:53
Celtics are the clear favorites to land Anthony Davis if the Pelicans decide to trade him. It all depends on this season. If the Boogie-AD project didn't work, the Pels will look to trade him and Rebuild. Davis is also a big fan of Gordon Hayward.

Celtics get: Anthony Davis

Pelicans get: Jaylon Brown, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris and Aaron Baynes + 18 Nets Pick, 18Lakers/19 Sac Pick and 19 Grizzlies Pick.

1.) 15 Jul 2017 21:19:26
Why is it that Celtics fans live in a 24 hour Fantasy land?

2.) 15 Jul 2017 22:35:50
Yes, the C's have the resources to get him, no, the Pels aren't dealing him.

3.) 16 Jul 2017 02:38:55
So the. They don't have the resources to get him.

4.) 16 Jul 2017 05:25:24
Even though we have the assets to trade for him, it would mean we would have no bench and deplete our stash of picks. Plus even if the AD, Cousins pairing doesn't work I doubt AD is the one that will get moved, AD is a better all around player but he is the face of that team. I am a Celtics fan and don't get me wrong I would love to have Davis on the team but I think it would take a lot and it probably wouldn't be worth it to trade for him, even if he became available.

5.) 16 Jul 2017 13:21:37
I'm a Celtics fan. that's unrealistic. The only way Davis gets moved is if he asks, and I just don't see that. If anything, you should be looking at a trade for Cousins. which IS actually something that could happen, and he could be had for a much lesser package. The Brooklyn 1st and salary would likely be able to get it done at that point, as it would still be an upgrade from what they sent out to get him. He'd be on his last year however, and you'd have to throw him into the mix of guys needing to get paid next season.

6.) 16 Jul 2017 13:28:17
You'd have to think it would be Crowder, Morris (can't be traded until September, but NO will try the twin tower experiment at least that long) and Smart as the pieces heading to NO. Does a starting lineup of IT, Brown, Hayward, Horford and Cousins have what it takes to win it all this year? Your bench would be Rozier, Baynes and mostly rookies, which does come into play.

7.) 17 Jul 2017 16:07:24
@Hamburger It is not that they do not have resources. But unless you are in total rebuild you do not trade a handful of pieces for a Superstar. Pels did not bring Cousins in to enter a rebuild phase.

Celtics Monster Team

Celtics get: Davis

NOLA get: Brown, Crowder and Smart + 3rd Pick, 18 Nets Pick and 18 LA Pick / 19 SAC Pick

Free Agency: Sign Hayward

IT- Avery - Hayward- Al - Davis

Bench: Rozier, Zizic, Yabusele + some vets and this years 2nd rounder.

1.) 19 Jun 2017 11:18:53
People need to understand Celtics financial situation. If they renounce all their FA and waive guys like Zeller and Mickey on non-guaranteed deals they get just shy of being able to give Hayward the max. Thus in order for them to be able to add Davis too they must match his almost 24 mill contract with their outgoing salaries.

This particular trade is close salary wise but I think they make it if you consider they aren't keeping the #3 draft pick (so don't have its cap hold) .

My only concern with Pelicans trading Davis is that it would likely mean they'd have to trade Cousins too since I don't think he'd resign to a Davis-less Pelicans team with a bunch of younger guys. I think this factor makes them not deal Davis since they wouldn't get fair value on Cousins with him in final year of his contract.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 14:32:55
AD is not coming to the Celtics! Wait-trade idea- AD for IT, Bradley Crowder, Horford and #3 this year and first rounder next year. Deal?

3.) 19 Jun 2017 15:18:16
Celtic fans stop thinking AD is going anywhere for at least 3-4 years. and not to mention the number 3 pick isn't close enough. you don't trade a 22 yr old superstar who's locked up long term, wake up.

4.) 19 Jun 2017 15:24:28
Every day another Celtic fan comes up with another lame AD trade idea. And every day they will be disappointed when it NEVER happens.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 18:57:56
I still don't think that team come see close to beating lebron.

Cavs - Pacers

Cavs get: Paul George

Pacers get: Kevin Love

Simple Trade that makes sense for both Teams

1.) 13 Jun 2017 14:52:14
Love it for the Cavs. Hate it for the Pacers. It's possible if the rest of the market is scared off by the Laker rumors and the Lakers don't go all in for George, but even then the Pacers might be better off with a third team involved. Boston would be ideal, but I think both the Cavs and Boston wouldn't be interested in helping each other out.

2.) 13 Jun 2017 15:03:43
I rather lose George for nothing than trade him for Love.
Love is a great player, but Indy would still be a mediocre team that could make it to the first round.

We better go high in the draft and tank if we can't trade George for picks or young players.

So we prefer trading him to;
Boston for a Nets pick+Player
To LA for Ingram or/ and the 2nd pick
Philly for the third pick+player
Phoenix for Bender and the 4rd pick (Fox)
Or Portland could trade for 3 first round picks

Personally i think George would like to stay in Indy and get the 200 M contract, i'm only not sure any player is worth a 200M contract.
And i think PG would like to win a Championship, so he would likte to go to Boston or San Antonio over LA (Unless Ball is better than Curry)

3.) 13 Jun 2017 18:25:33
Indiana will have several better offers than Love for George.

4.) 13 Jun 2017 19:04:43
I think Cavs would need to bring in a 3rd team to make it work for Pacers but they should call all 28 other teams to try and make this work. Adding George for Love is about one of the surest ways Cavs could improve defensively and offensively. They also need to hope that George potentially signing with lakers scares away other suitors driving down the price and that Lakers don't make a move for him themselves. I wouldn't say its likely but not completely impossible either.

One thing is clear now. The Celtics must keep the 1st pick in this years draft. There is no player we can aquire in a trade that brings is just in the near of the warriors. Celtics should build a team that can compete in 3-4 years. I can not see a team who wins a 7 game series against this warriors in the next 2-3 years.

1.) 08 Jun 2017 08:31:19
Injuries are the only thing that's going to stop them.

Celtics Master Plan

Draft Night trade:

1. BOS get: Cousins and Acy (Waive)

SAC get: Smart, Sullinger, Johnson and Young + 2016 Nets Pick (1-4), 2016 Mavs Pick, 2018 Nets Pick and a couple 2nd Rounder.

2. BOS get: Faried

DEN get: Olynyk, Bradley + 2016 Celtics Pick and 2017 Nets Pick

Free Agency:

Sign: Durant, C. Lee, G. Green, Bass, Perkins and Bayless
Resign: Turner

Celtics 16/ 17 Team

Thomas ' Rozier ' Bayless
Crowder ' Lee ' Hunter
Durant ' Turner ' G. Green
Faried ' Bass ' Mickey
Cousins ' Perkins ' C from the 2nd Round in the Draft

This Team is a Contendor. Every one loves to play for Coach Stevens. Banner 18.19., .

1.) 09 Apr 2016 21:52:50
too much for Faried rather keep bradley and olynyk with that.

16 Mar 2016 23:15:25
Build a Monster in Americas best Sports Place.

1. Draft: If we can not get Pick 1 or 2 we should Draft my Austrian Friend Jalob Pöltl. He is a great Guy.

2.FA:KD is interessted in Boston and he is a good friend of Al Horford who also wants to play for the Celtics. Sign both and we are a titke Contendor.

This Team can win it all.

1.) 17 Mar 2016 00:59:09
Anyone can say they like a city or state or country but that doesn't mean they're going there. If kd likes Alaska, will he move there? No.

2.) 17 Mar 2016 05:03:02
I don't think he's your friend if you can't even spell his last name right, it's Poetl.

3.) 17 Mar 2016 13:53:06
hahah, well done NBA. echoing theking. durant has now stated he loves his hometown of DC, he loves NY because of a unicorn, he loves boston because they are a team and he loves okc because he has always loved it and wants to finish his career there.

at this point, people need to stop discussing where he is going, or acting like he is giving hints. he has legitimately not thought about it at all. He will figure it out in the offseason. This is a very nice dream scenerio, but there is zero indication its even possible.

4.) 18 Mar 2016 04:25:26
If players signed with a team just because he likes the city, everybody would pretty much play with the Lakers and Clippers.

5.) 20 Mar 2016 04:37:09
I think Lakers will get the number one pick then Celtics are number two. Then Sixers at number 3.

6.) 20 Mar 2016 13:05:41
That's perhaps the worst spot for the Sixers. No guard is worth that pick and they miss Ingram. They'd trade up or trade down but they would not pick at 3. And I'm not sure what team would want to move into the 3 spot, either moving up or down.

If the Celtics won't him, Cavs have no chance to get him. Celtics can offer a much better package. But they will only to this if PG sign an extension.

Joke, right?! Kanter has not that value, he only has one year left on his contract. Celtics never give up Crowder an Smart for this return. 0% that trades happens.

Danny will never trade the 1st Pick for Klay Thompson. He is simply not worth that.
