Pistons/Nuggets/Thunder Trade

Pistons Receive: Carmelo Anthony, 2019 first round pick (Via DEN)

The Pistons are a buying team right now in a tough situation. They aren't bad enough to accumulate top picks but aren't a title contender/conference powerhouse. They need to continue to buy onto players that have skill but little value. Although Melo could be a distraction, I think with a new coach he could find his role with the Pistons. The Pistons also don't have cap space at the moment due to bad contracts. Melo will accept his 2018-2019 player option and return but that will only be for a year. They also clear out Reggie Jackson with this trade but are still stuck with bad contracts such as Langston Galloway and Blake Griffins massive 34+ million dollar contract.

Nuggets Receive: Reggie Jackson

The Nuggets get Reggie Jackson to fill the void at point guard until Jamal Murray is good enough to start and is developed more. Nothing more here than a bridge player for either Murray or for a potential rookie in which they would then flip Murray back to a shooting guard.

Thunder Receive: Jon Leuer, 2018 Second Round pick

I think that it's been made clear the Thunder are going to lose Paul George this summer due to a disappointing playoff campaign. They need stock up on some good role players and clear contracts such as Melo so that they can potentially make a run at a big name free agent. They also could opt to not sign a free agent as well. Steven Adams and Russell Westbrook is probably still good enough of a core to make the playoffs considering that Paul George wasn't a very good fit and that Melo was plain garbage this year. Jon Leuer is a tenacious rebounder and could be a good player off the bench. I am also sure that The Thunder will explore the option of trading Westbrook. Although it seems crazy, this team really needs to restart. Westbrook is going to be 30 this year and although he is one of the biggest superstar players in this league, the Thunder aren't going to win a championship with him and no other superstar alongside him.

The nuggets would be foolish to even consider what you are proposing. Jamal Murray started 80 games last year and put up an efficient 17, 3.5, and 3.5. And let's remember he only just turned 21 years old. The assists numbers are kind of low for a point guard but that is expected since Jokic is their primary playmaker. Trading for a often-injured Reggie Jackson (who's best days are probably behind him) would be beyond idiotic.

Pelicans/76ers Trade

Pelicans Receive: Justin Anderson

The Pelicans need shooting badly. Solomon Hill's production has been minimal and E'Twan Moore is overpaid and inconsistent. That leaves them with Darius Miller and Jordan Crawford who are really not primary rotation players. Justin Anderson has had many spurts of lights out shooting and good overall shooting performances. He would be a big help to this team.

76ers Receive: 2nd round pick

The 76ers are overloaded with guards and could use an extra pick in case they find a gem in the second round or want to trade up.

1.) 25 Apr 2018 03:20:42
The Sixers already have four second round picks this year, and multiple ones in each of the next two seasons. The last thing I could see them wanting is another 2nd. If Anderson's deal were for more money next year, or he wasn't getting any minutes, maybe, but he is a regular contributor to a team that will already either be stashing or dealing seconds for at least the next three years.

MIN/BNK Trade

MIN Receives: Caris Levert, Spencer Dinwiddie

Minnesota gets an upgrade at point guard over Jeff Teague and they also receive Caris levers who is young and a good scorer off the bench.

BNK Receives: Andrew Wiggins

The Nets need to start winning or their fanbase will begin to deplete. Wiggins will be the number 1 or 2 option in Brooklyn and thrive in that atmosphere.

1.) 24 Apr 2018 16:19:34
How is that an upgrade at pg? I'm not sure dinwiddle gets backup minutes in that lineup.

2.) 24 Apr 2018 17:07:54
I'm not sure that it's an upgrade at point guard, but Dinwiddie would be one of the best backup pgs in the NBA.

3.) 24 Apr 2018 18:21:28
Minnesota already has a decent backup PG in Tyus Jones. So trading a guy, while flawed, who still has potentially a lot of upside, for basically a pair of backups, is not a smart idea. Only positive of this for Minnesota is that they get a lot of cap space.

Now Wiggins, Jones, and Dieng for Carroll, Dinwiddie, and LeVert would get me, as a Minnesota fan, interested. Minnesota gets better depth with LeVert and Dinwiddie on the bench, plus more cap space.

But if Minnesota does look to trade Wiggins, I still think the best trade is to Sacramento for Buddy Hield and Justin Jackson.

Blazers/Cavs Trade

Blazers Receive: 8th overall pick, Kyle Korver, Jordan Clarkson

The Blazer get an aging but undoubtedly elite and potential hall of famer on the roster. Although he is far from what he once was, Kyle Korver can still shoot the ball efficiently and get buckets off the bench. They also receive Jordan Clarkson who is a good shooter that can fit at the 1 or the 2. The big return they get is the 7th overall pick. I believe that in a stacked draft class the Blazers could pick up somebody help them immediately. They didn't have an answer for the Pelicans strength and defense in their early and unexpected first round exit. If they could possibly snag Jaren Jackson Jr. or Mikal Bridges at 8, not only will they get skill, but they will get lengthier and more versatile. CJ is an undersized shooting guard who would be better benefited from being surrounded by bigger guys. He wasn't really an ideal fit in Portland although he did end up thriving with Damian Lillard throughout the regular season. The Blazers could get a lot better in this trade and possibly even see themselves back in the 2019 playoffs if they draft wisely.

2018 Starting 5
1-Damian Lillard
2-Jordan Clarkson
3-Evan Turner
4-Jaren Jackson Jr.?
5-Jusuf Nurkic

Cavs Receive: CJ McCollum, Al Farouq Aminu

The Cavs need another scorer next to Lebron and some defense. In this trade, the Cavs receive Al Farouq-Aminu who is a defensive and athletic freak. He would be a good spark off the bench or in the starting lineup to provide rim protection, make plays and bring some energy and toughness to the floor. The Cavs also need some more scoring and more star power alongside Lebron. Let's be honest, Lebron and the Sixers isn't really a good fit with Ben Simmons manning the show. Going to the Lakers would be pointless because although they have the cap and assets to go out and acquire big name player, they are in a brutal Western Conference with a young and inexperience coach and roster. Finally there are the Rockets. Although the Rockets are arguably the best team in the West right now, I really don't see Lebron going out there and being happy. D'Antoni would have a lot of authority and he'd be sharing the ball with James Harden+Chris Paul. His best bet is to stay in Clevland, restock the team and continue to dominate the East. In the 2017-2018 playoffs, through the first 4 games Lebron has averaged about 33 points per game while not a single other Cavs player has scored above 20. He needs scoring. CJ McCollum will give him that.

2018 Starting 5
1-George Hill
2-CJ McCollum
3-Lebron James
4-Al-Farouq Aminu
5-Kevin Love

1.) 24 Apr 2018 03:40:04
Wait you seriously called Korver not only undoubtedly elite. But a potential hall of gamer? 4/ 20 is over. Lay off the weed.

2.) 24 Apr 2018 03:44:28
Cavs might need to give up some more, but I like the frame work behind it.

3.) 24 Apr 2018 14:38:26
Hamburger I don't know if you watch the NBA but he is one of the best 3 point shooters of all time. He's old now but used to be a beast for the Hawks. Yeah probably not a hall of famer I got carried away there. But he would be a good addition to the Hawks since they need a wing badly.

4.) 24 Apr 2018 15:36:27
The only Hall of Fame Korver is going to might be the Bad Haircut Hall of Fame. You definitely over-valuing him.

5.) 24 Apr 2018 22:41:42
I watch the nba. And realize he is awful at literally every other aspect of the game. You called a guy with no defense. No rebounding. No passing. Nothing but a three point shot undoubtedly elite and potential hall of famer. Perhaps you should watch the game pudding before throwing that junk out there.

Suns acquire: 6th pick

This will give the Suns another top 10 pick in a stacked class meaning they could fill the void at potentially two positions. The Suns would have the chance to draft Deandre Ayton with the 1st overall pick and also draft Michael Porter Jr. or Jaren Jackson Jr. This move would either solidify the front court with Jackson Jr. or add another scoring and lengthy wing in Porter Jr. If they do not want to take this route they can always select a point guard such as Collin Sexton to be a slashing point guard with some Russell Westbrook traits in him. Although it might be a reach to take a point guard that early, Sexton is a pretty safe pick due to his durability and all around skill.

Bulls Aquire: 15th pick, T.J Warren, Marquese Chriss

The Bulls trade down in order to gather more young role players and talent. They also get another lotto pick to gain another player in a stacked class.

Jello

1.) 19 Apr 2018 18:22:55
Why would the Bulls want role players over getting a potential star player?

2.) 19 Apr 2018 18:28:33
In don't think the value is bad, but the Bulls have a nice young team with 3 of their future starters already in Dunn, Lavine, and Markannen and 2 young solid role players that can be starters in the right situation in Nwaba. They really need to add another player with allstar potential to that group (I think Markannen and Lavine both have allstar potential) . I think Porter, Bagley, Young or Bamba all have that potential. It's doubtful that the 15th pick or either player they're getting back does. Warren shown he can score on a bad team, but hasn't shown much more than that and Chriss didn't show much, if any improvement, after a fairly disappointing rookie year.

3.) 19 Apr 2018 19:58:22
Rkenne what were you watching? Chriss had a disappointing rookie year? He had a great rookie year. Coming out he was a project you they said would take 3 to 4 years to get any significant playing time. He did take a step back this year, but once he got in shape played better. I find it funny how people use the excuse a guy scor3d on a bad team. It's harder to score on a bad team then a good team. On a good team you got other players to attract the def. On a bad team you get double team a lot.

4.) 19 Apr 2018 20:01:26
The drop off this year from 6-15 talent wise is too asppreciable.

5.) 20 Apr 2018 00:19:00
Jdp, I know that Chriss was kind of raw coming out, but I don't think anyone ever said he wouldn't play his first 4 years in the league. He wasn't good in anyway his 1st year, which again was fine because he is raw, but then he didn't really show any improvement in his 2nd year. If he does the same next year, his career is in serious jeopardy. Also, a lot of players on bad teams are playing more minutes, they get to be the focus of the offense more and they are getting more shots than they deserve. They're getting to play a ton more minutes against back ups and teams that don't care on defense because good teams don't have to be focused to beat them. Most players seed a dip in their scoring average when going from a bad team to a good team.

6.) 20 Apr 2018 14:58:45
While no big Marquese Chriss fan, the guy did make the All NBA Rookie team in 2017,so, when you say he "had a bad first year" that's compared to what? Not making the All Rookie team? It is true he felt some entitlement or too many donuts or something and it took 7/ 8 of this season for him to even play decently.

With the Cavs making the decision to play Love at center and having 4 centers on the roster already, I can't see them taking Carter. Not to mention he doesn't fit the Cavs system.

I also don't see Doncic slipping past 2.

Nuggets/Heat Trade-

Nuggets Receive: Goran Dragic, future second round picks

The Nuggets get their starting point guard who will be able to potentially get that team over the hump and 5-7 seed in the packed Western conference.

Heat Receive: 14th pick, Trey Lyles

The Heat get a relatively early pick in the draft where they could land a Miles Bridges, Collin Sexton or even a Trae Young of sorts. They also get Trey Lyles who is looking like a bust and needs to go to a team where he can get some minutes.

I like Dragic in DEN, but his price, and do you bring Murray off the bench? Dragic toughness would be good for DEN. I like the fit. He does what Murray doesn't, and vice versa.

2.) 10 Apr 2018 07:33:14
The 2nd ball brother is playing in like the 7th best league on the world. His competition is worse than even midmajor d1 schools. Maybe he can work his way up the Euroladder and prove become an NBA player, but I doubt it. Doncic is playing against low end NBA talent in the 2nd best league in the world and has played well in FIBA against the best European players in the world. There is a big difference between the two. If Ball was doing what Doncic is he might dethrone Lebron for ESPN mentions a day.

3.) 10 Apr 2018 13:54:04
I guess Dragic is temporary until Murray really develops into a true point guard.

Rkemne_16 wrong post Lavar Ball lover.

5.) 10 Apr 2018 23:49:32
My fault. I was to busy fantasizing about going on a paddle boat ride with Lavarr in the fall. Just as the leaves are changing. It's a sun warmed day with just a hint of crispness in the breeze. There was playful laughter ringing all day and we were both swooning and not just over each other, but over the beauty of the swans, cranes, vibrantly colored trees and the assorted animals along the shore. Finally, we get back to land and lay a hand quilted blanket down on the ground and pull out a Merlot we were saving for a special occasion. We pair that with some artisanal cheeses. Taking turns feeding each other.

We then go to an apple tree we spotted earlier in the day and pick a few perfectly ripe and fresh apples for dessert. After dessert we pull out a second much cheaper bottle of wine and laugh while we drink because our unrefined palates enjoy the 2nd bottle much more. The tranquility of the day, the beautiful sunset, our easy of conversation and the lack of inhibition created by the wine lead to gentle kissing and as the night grows darker, we build a small fire and cuddle together for warmth. Neither of us have any concerns outside of the beauty of the stars, the beauty of the company and the fact that we never want this moment to end.

We wake up in the morning, we put out the fire and realize that we can't put out the real fire. The one melting our hearts awoken for the first time. We make a pact before leaving that day. None of life's entanglements will keep us apart. Despite what we ever could have believed, our love only grew stronger from there. The Biggest Balls here are our hearts and ours are Branded together forever.

6.) 11 Apr 2018 01:24:44
Lavar is definitely gifting you free tickets to the next BBB tournament, the players are top tier (mostly 14 and up), and all you have to do is pay the airfare. Has a room in the back of the butcher shop ready for ya.

Norman Powell was a good bench player for the Raptors so they're asking price would be a lot higher. I also don't see the Raptors trading him anyways.
