Sixers backcourt of the future
Sign Middleton (maybe over pay a little since they have a lot of cap room)
Draft D'angelo Russell at 3 if all goes as planned
Gives them the spacing needed to best benefit Noel and Embiid. Middleton is a perfect fit for what they need at the 2 guard. He provides great shooting ability which will help the bigs greatly. A promising talent to have on any squad. D'angelo Russell also provides a great help with spacing and is a also a fantastic passer at the point off of pick and rolls.
Lineup:
1. Russell
2. Middleton
3. Covington
4. Noel
5. Embiid
Comment what you think they will do with their 5 second rounders this year. Trade? Draft? If they do draft then who? Package?

I like Middleton and feel he would be a nice addition to our future. Russell is a must for the sixers.

PHL - ORL
Sixers give up #3
Receive Victor Oladipo and #5.

Orlando would be insane to make that trade

2.) 26 May 2015 19:49:16
That's been suggested before, and panned as paying too much to move up 2 slots. Maybe the Sixers throw in the OKC or Miami pick from next year.

Sixers back court becomes: Wroten, Oladipo, Mudiay/Hezonja.

I think the magic who have struggled to win even with olidipo. Needs to shake things up. Unfortunately I don't think olidipo is the guy to move so they will probably pass especially if they have to give up the fifth pick too. Is there a lesser caliber player on the magic that would be enough to move up those two spots?

Maybe Elford Payton? He can't shoot at all but he's the second most interesting guy on that team. From the Sixers perspective at least. He might be enough to move up those spots.

4.) 26 May 2015 21:48:01
I think the Sixers would drop back 2 slots for Elfrid Payton. They can still get their swingman at 5, Mario Hezonja. Heck, Mudiay might be there at 5 also.

Sixers backcourt would be Payton, Hezonja, Wroten. That's not awful.

No way they would trade for Elfrid Payton. They already drafted him once and traded him to Orlando for Saric and a 1st. If they really wanted him, they would have kept him on draft day. Also, I don't think that they'd want another guard that can't shoot the three ball. They need more spacing with the Embiid and Noel front court which is one of the major reasons the Sixers traded MCW.

I see your point. I'm not thrilled with payton either. I just no olidipo is going no where especially if they are including the fifth pick.

Absolutely horrible trade for the Sixers. No way they give up their potential franchise player in Joel Embiid or their guard of the future in Russell or Mudiay at #3.
