Draft night trade!

Knicks - Suns

Knick gets:
2020 1st from Bucks (1-7 protected)
2019 2nd from Suns
2020 2nd from Suns

Suns gets:
Smith Jr.

1.) 22 Mar 2019 15:01:21
If the Suns can’t we Morant and the Knicks have Kyrie or Kemba basically In the fold already, I like it for both teams. It gives the Knicks even more flexibility to go out and get the right players to fill out their roster. The suns get a potential answer at pg.

2.) 22 Mar 2019 15:13:15
Bucks 2020 first is likely going to be in the 25-30 range, don’t see the Knicks giving up DSJ for a pick in that range and a couple of 2nds.

3.) 22 Mar 2019 15:41:29
Suns give up 2020 pick top 5 protected.

4.) 22 Mar 2019 19:23:16
Phoenix had a chance to get Smith before the deadline. They had no interest in him. It's not a terrible trade, but it's never going to happen.

5.) 22 Mar 2019 23:23:11
Up the Andy, if they loose out to Morant and Zion, they 6 wings

DSJ NTILIKINA KNOX ny 2020 2022 1st

Draft Barrett

DSJ Ntilikina Knox
Jackson Bridges

Irving/ Mudiay/ Allen
Jackson/ Trier/ Jenkins
Durant/ Bridges/ Dotson
Zion/ Vonleh/ Ellenson
Jordan/ Robinson/ Azibuike-2nd.

6.) 23 Mar 2019 04:45:20
This would be good if suns win lottery and draft Williamson.

08 Feb 2019 17:16:52
I believe that if the Knicks get the 1st overall pick this summer they will pick Zion Williamson and build their team with young players.

But if they don't get it and wind up with a later selection, they will trade the pick for Anthony Davis and go after superstars.

Knicks - Pelicans

Knicks gets:

Pelicans gets:
2019 1st Knicks (#2-#5 overall)
2021 1st Mavs (Unprotected)
2023 1st Mavs (Top 10 protected)
2020 2nd Hornets
2021 2nd Hornets

1.) 08 Feb 2019 17:40:45
If the pick isn't #1, I don't think their trade package is enough for Davis. Maybe if it's #2, but not if it's all the way down at 5.

2.) 08 Feb 2019 18:36:17
I think that package will work with Barrett or Williamson for Davis. If Durant is the prize, davis should be target too regardless if williamson drafted. I don't think Durant comes without Davis. I believe that will cause Irving to sign too. They should sign Irving and Durant below the max (2 yr 1 yr guarenteed 30mil instead 35mil) this leave room for their buddy Jordan 3yr 45 mil. 6 vet minimum contracts. Trade future picks and 51 for Washington and Paschall

Irving/ Beverly/ I. Thomas
Lamb/ Stephenson/ Vick-pickup
Durant/ Beasley/ Paschall-33
Davis/ Melo/ Washington-43
Jordan/ O'Quinn/ Govan-pickup.

3.) 08 Feb 2019 23:25:34
I don’t see Durant or Irving taking the short term deals, especially discounted. Durant’s done it the last couple of years and is getting older, and Irving should want long term security with some of his injury history.

If the pick is #1, the package for AD probably does not need to include Trier or Robinson. I could see:

2019 1st overall
2021 Knicks 1st
2021 Mavs 1st
2023 Mavs 1st

I don’t know if they would want Frank, they may prefer a couple of future 2nds instead.

Anything more than this, and I would just keep the package and take Zion #1. I know Boston feels like Tatum is the best player that anyone can offer, but I truly believe Zion will be a generational talent, and finding multi-positional two way wings is easier than finding what Zion offers.

4.) 09 Feb 2019 04:10:40
Zion frank and 3 picks for davis. Davis is expiring so not that valuable Like now. But to be on the verge of losing davis I'm taking zion who they will have for next 7 to 8 years. Prozingis could never recover and those picks will be great. No matter how bad I want Davis on Lakers zion for Davis would be no brainer for new Orleans.

Knicks - Magic

Knicks gets:
2020 1st Thunder (Top 20 protected)

Magic gets:

1.) 04 Feb 2019 23:39:04
You don't get a first for 30 games of 2 guts about to be free agents from tanking teams.

2.) 05 Feb 2019 02:42:42
Bamba for Vonleh Mudiay 4 1st.

04 Feb 2019 21:31:49
Knicks - Pelicans

Knicks gets:
2021 2nd rd pick

Pelicans gets:
Kanter (expiring)
2019 1st Knicks (unprotected)
2021 1st Knicks (lottery protected)
2021 1st Mavs (unprotected)
2023 1st Mvs (top 10 protected)

1.) 04 Feb 2019 22:11:15
Go ahead drops Knicks available cap space to around $60 mil for next year. Only one max slot as well as trading away the Knicks shot at Williamson.

2.) 04 Feb 2019 22:43:28
Nikitma out, DSJ in.

3.) 04 Feb 2019 23:40:26
Like DAC said.

4.) 04 Feb 2019 23:46:05
it would be a good trade for the pels and Knicks. they would have davis Jordan and potentially durrant or another guard un free agents and just add vets and second round picks to round out the roster.

5.) 05 Feb 2019 03:29:09
Umm stay with the Raptor posts.

04 Feb 2019 20:53:50
Lakers - Pelicans - Suns

Lakers gets:
Crawford (expiring)

Pelicans gets:
Rondo (expiring)
2019 1st Lakers (unprotected)
2019 1st Bucks (via Suns)
2021 1st Lakers (top 3 protected)

Suns gets:
Stephenson (expiring)
Beasley (expiring)

1.) 05 Feb 2019 01:06:39
That’s probably pretty close to what the Lakers will give up. They might have part with Zubac or Hart too. The Suns are probably the perfect partner as well.

Magic - Thunder

Magic gets:
Anthony (Buyout)
Singler (expiring)
53rd pick
57th pick
2020 2nd rd pick

Thunder gets:

Magic take on one year of salary to chase free agents in 2019, while Thunder move on from Melo and gets som depth.

1.) 24 May 2018 00:10:10
I don't think Melo let's it happen.

2.) 24 May 2018 03:18:35
Melo trade clause, magic losing 2 players with value for some 2nd rounders is unlikely.

3.) 24 May 2018 11:04:31
Thunder will have to cough up more than that to get rid of Anthony, and it's a pipe dream to think that he'll agree to go to a 25-win team next season.

22 May 2018 21:35:53
Knicks - Trail Blazers

Knicks gets:
24th pick

Trail Blazers gets:

03 May 2018 21:21:29
Kings - Thunder

Kings gets:
Anthony (Buyout)
2019 2nd rd pick

Thunder gets:

Crucial miss from the refs on the George three pointer. Even Utahs coach saw it was a foul and put his hands behind his head when Gobert bumped George. Also change the earlier foul from three from free throws to a side out of bounds, even though he already started his shooting motion.

Refs miss calls but you can't miss that one with the season on the line. Thunder thought hard against a great jazz team but didn't get the opportunity to force a game 7.

1.) 28 Apr 2018 13:01:30
Thunder cooked their own goose when they miscalculated on Anthony. Now they're stuck with him and his $28 million millstone salary. He's so bad and disinterested on defense that they can't even play him in fourth quarters when games are tight. Going to be a bad off-season in OKC when George walks and the team has to shed decent players to pay Anthony -- and even doing that might not keep them under the repeated luxury tax. Turns out Kanter, McDermott and a second was a huge overpay by OKC.

2.) 28 Apr 2018 14:31:46
Honestly, I hate that play and I’m glad they didn’t call the foul. George jumped sideways into Gobert. I know it’s the standard call, but the rules need to be changed to make that an offensive foul. You can’t jump into someone and get a foul on them.

Also, if George actually tries to make the shot (he 100% had no intention of making it, just getting the foul) maybe he makes the shot, gets the and 1, and wins the game.

3.) 28 Apr 2018 15:46:20
I honestly believe that Harden, Durant, Curry etc. would have gotten that call. The Anthony trade wasn’t an overpay because neither Kanter or McDermmot can play defense in the playoffs either.

4.) 28 Apr 2018 16:55:19
I’m sure they do, and I’m sure if my team had that situation I’d be pissed. But from a mostly unbiased view (I do hate Westbrook, so there is that) it was a very borderline call. And that specific call is a pet peeve of mine that I really would like the NBA to change. Just like the rip through move a few years ago.

5.) 28 Apr 2018 22:41:49
When the talk was Melo was a chance to go to Boston I was stressing out fortunately it had no substance. Melos game has dropped off so bad it’s hard to watch him like that maybe Phil Jackson saw what he had become.

6.) 28 Apr 2018 23:35:47
Thunder really just aren't a good team. Westbrook is too selfish and not a good enough shooter, Adams is solid but can't stretch the floor, PG is inconsistent and probably leaving now, and Melo going to Melo. They don't have a solid bench either.

14 Dec 2017 22:04:00
