Knicks - Spurs

Knicks gets:
2018 1st rd pick (Top 20 protected)

Spurs gets:
2020 2nd rd pick (Hornets)

1.) 07 Feb 2018 17:23:57
after the horrible willie trade this move looks respectful.

05 Feb 2018 18:21:53
Clippers - Cavs

Clippers gets:
2018 1st rd pick BKN (via Cavs)

Cavs gets:
2018 1st rd pick Clippers or Pistons (worst)

1.) 05 Feb 2018 18:41:23
LAC says yes, CLE says no. There's looming salary implications with both Lou, and Jordan, and James. Not trading the BRK pick says a lot about their future plans.

2.) 05 Feb 2018 19:15:14
Cleveland would have to consider this Jorga. The contract situation does create a long term issue but for this season alone. Jordan and Williams would help fix their problems on the court and after this season they would deal with the contracts when Lebron makes his decision. The main selling point in this trade though is the extra pick. Doesn’t matter which first it is. The would still have two first and most likely 2 between 15-25 range that they can either select players still on draft night or package those of another return. The extra pick though is only 5-10 slots back from the Nets pick which makes this deal hard to pass.

3.) 05 Feb 2018 19:52:32
I still think Thompson, and Shumpert are the last things on LAC mind. I didn't notice the 1st going to CLE the first time I commented either. There will have to be no other offers of significance to LAC for these guys to be CAVS. LAC is definitely not giving a first for this in any way. Thompson is overpaid, and so is Shumpert.

05 Feb 2018 16:20:50
Bulls - Thunder

Bulls gets:
2018 2nd rd pick Celtics (via Thunder)
2019 2nd rd pick Thunder

Thunder gets:

1.) 05 Feb 2018 18:33:18
Thunder are in the tax. They have to just sign Allen if they can. Maybe a trade, but not picks.

2.) 05 Feb 2018 20:48:06
Yeah they are in the tax buy the are getting rid of over a million in contract in this deal. The 2 seconds are to compinsate for Grant. The bulls can just waive singler for mor cap space.

02 Feb 2018 19:29:30
Celtics sign Monroe for 5 million and save 3,4 million of their disabled player exeption. For me that means that they are going after Tyreke Evans with the rest of the exeption, otherwise they would have given Monroe the full 8,4 million.

Celtics - Grizzlies

Celtics gets:
2018 2nd rd pick (Suns)

Grizzlies gets:
2019 1st rd pick back

1.) 02 Feb 2018 20:15:55
Sounds do-able. The pick being Future is what I'd figured BOS offered. I think MEM is holding out until the last minute for a 2018 just in case another Boogie, happens.

2.) 02 Feb 2018 20:42:47
you can't split up a dpe between multiple players. they would have to use mid level for tyreke.

3.) 02 Feb 2018 22:05:56
Correct, you can only use the DPE once, whether you use it for $86 or $8.6M. Evans is going to have to come through a trade for salary.

4.) 03 Feb 2018 03:48:07
They will trade for evans not DPE.

02 Feb 2018 17:44:53
Knicks - Timberwolves

Knicks gets:
Aldrich (Expiring)
Bjelica (Expiring)

Timberwolves gets:
Beasley (Expiring)
Jack (Expiring)
2019 1st rd pick (Top 3 protected)
2018 2nd rd pick (Bulls)
Future 2nd rd pick

Knicks gets rid of Noah and saves money for a first and two seconds.

Timberwolves get a better bench for the playoffs and Tibs reunite with Noah.

1.) 02 Feb 2018 18:11:02
Twolves are building a contending team, they surely don't want any part of Noah even if it brings the happy family together.

2.) 02 Feb 2018 18:19:59
Wolves would now have overpaid Dieng, and overpaid Noah. Put in Dieng, and the conversation could start about Noah.

3.) 02 Feb 2018 18:56:50
joegawood. Dieng might be overpaid, but he still makes less than Noah, is more versatile than Noah, a better player than Noah, and is actually healthy.

4.) 02 Feb 2018 19:29:21
I have no idea what you are referring to carl006, but Bjelica is far more used, and valuable to MIN than Dieng. I think you are missing my point and assuming something I didn't say.

5.) 02 Feb 2018 20:57:16
jorgawood. You implied that Minnesota should swap Noah for Dieng. Terrible idea for Minnesota.

6.) 02 Feb 2018 21:19:54
Wrong! START with a deal involving Dieng if there is even a thought at taking on Noah. MIN is actively shopping Dieng with no takers. Not sure where you are coming from in any way.

7.) 02 Feb 2018 21:24:02
Dieng is owed 10mil more guaranteed, and for 2 seasons longer as well. He's 28 its junk contract.

8.) 02 Feb 2018 22:56:06
What are you taking about? Dieng is signed for 3 more years, Noah 2.

Minnesota isn't swapping about a quality, younger, healthy rotation player to save one year on a contract.

Bottom line, there is 0 chance Minnesota trades for Noah.

Grizzlies - Timberwolves

Grizzlies gets:
2018 1st Thunder (via Timberwolves)
2020 1st Timberwolves (lottery protected)

Timberwolves gets:
Future 2nd rd pick

29 Nov 2017 23:43:59
Grizzlies - Nets

Grizzlies gets:

Nets gets:
2021 1st rd pick (Top 10 protected)
2018 2nd rd pick

1.) 30 Nov 2017 02:40:38
I'd want more if I'm Brooklyn. They give up two solid rotation players and take on an awful contract.

28 Jun 2017 20:52:44
Clippers- Thunder

Clippers gets:
Huestis (Waive)
2022 1st (top 5 protected)
2018 2nd (Bulls via Thunder)

Thunder gets:
Griffin (S&T Max)
Stone (Waive)

1.) 29 Jun 2017 21:29:05

24 Jun 2017 23:35:32
Clippers - Knicks

Clippers gets:
Future 2nd round pick

Knicks gets:
W. Johnson
B. Johnson
2021 1st round pick (top 3 protected)
2023 1st round pick (top 20 protected)

Clippers makes this move to show CP3 and Blake that they are all-in and want to win a championship next season. Gives up some bad contracts and 2 future protected firsts for an All-star in Melo. Then signs some veterans for the bench (Swaggy P, Vince Carter, Ilyasova, etc).

For the Knicks it's all about rebuilding and either trade or buy out some of the players they get in this trade.

Clippers 2017/18

23 Dec 2016 16:34:06
Celtics - Clippers

Celtics gets: Griffin, Pierce

Clippers gets: Johnson, Crowder, Jerebko, Brooklyn 1st 2017 (swap) and their own 2019 1st back

Thomas/ Rozier/ Jackson
Bradley/ Smart/ Young
Brown/ Pierce/ Green
Griffin/ Olynyk/ Mickey
Horford/ Zeller

Paul/ Rivers/ Felton
Redick/ Crawford/ Anderson
Crowder/ Johnson
Johnson/ Jerebko/ Bass/ Johnson
Jordan/ Speights/ Stone.

OKC can trade their 2022 first, but it will be conveyed two years after their top 20 protected 2020 pick that Orlando owes is done.

OKC can only trade their 2022 1st, not the 2021.
