1.) 12 Jan 2018 14:02:44
So Cleveland gets rid of 6 players they don't want and don't need, and gets back 3 good players in return. I like it. Yay, Cavs.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 15:10:01
You should go look up Hill, Bazemore, and Zbo Supercollider. Hill and Bazemore get paid a combined 27 million a year to produce like 24 ppg. They’re both incredibly overpaid. And Zbo is about 47 years old. It’s not like they’re getting AD out of this.

3.) 12 Jan 2018 15:33:31
Atlanta could get a better package.

4.) 12 Jan 2018 17:17:22
Supercollider, if someone posted the Brooklyn pick for the Warrior's 2nd and you would talk about how the Brooklyn pick is only at 8 right now. We get it. You think anyone on the Cavs is terrible.

5.) 12 Jan 2018 18:07:29
Rkenne, Cavs players aren't terrible. But the ones people on here want to get rid of are terrible. That's just the price Cleveland is now paying for letting James make trades. JR Smith is cooked, Love is losing his game having to play center, Thomas admits he has no legs, Crowder looks like an Evan Turner-like one-hit Boston wonder, Shumpert can't even get on the court, and Rose is in the witness protection program somewhere. They might be conserving energy for the playoffs, but they also might be starting an inevitable downslide that LeBron (and IT) would be only too willing to walk away from come July 1.

6.) 12 Jan 2018 20:08:26
I'm not sure Jr is completely done, but he'd be difficult to move. IT isn't 100 percent yet, but he's moving well and his shot will be back sooner than later. Shumpert has been out after a minor knee surgery (I believe a miniscus tear or cleaning up some loose tissue) . I think he'll be in the rotation once he's back. Rose is suppose to be back soon, but he seems like a bad fit for this roster. I think he could help a team that needs scoring and gives players less freedom to isolate. I don't think he has much value, but given his deal, he has a little value as a smaller expiring contract and Frye has value as an expiring as well. Zizic has some minor value and I think Osman is worth a mid to late first. IMO, atleast until Shumpert gets back, the Cavs should be giving him 10 or 15 minutes a game and maybe more depending on how he's playing. He's one of the few guys on the roster that really has played with much energy or hustle consistently. I think more than conserving themselves for the playoffs, the majority of this team is just uninterested in the regular season. I don't think they see the need to really get up for regular season games. The Cavs did it last year as well, though it looks worse this year I'm sure with all of the players who have been in and out of the line up the lack of continuity doesn't help. It's frustrating and at times is down right disgusting to watch, but it's hard to think a team with as much talent as the Cavs would be beat by 30 in back to back game while scoring under a 100 if cared about them.

7.) 12 Jan 2018 20:29:22
he said d-rose is in witness protection hahaha.

1.) 11 Jan 2018 14:08:33
So Memphis is going to give up its only two good players for Cleveland's trash?
Uh, no.

2.) 11 Jan 2018 14:47:16
orlando doesn't do this because Thomas will walk next season to a better team pro ably the spurs or another contender like NOP with Davis and cousins.

3.) 11 Jan 2018 23:00:12
@sivrets this deal involves a s+t on isaiah.

Charlotte would be smart to do this. Start the rebuild. T. Thompson deal is only bad part-long term anyway.

2.) 09 Jan 2018 19:16:31
The Cavs already have plenty of guys to busy bitching about calls to run back and play defense. They don't need Dwight Howard.

3.) 10 Jan 2018 16:24:47
no way the kings give up fox.

1.) 18 Jan 2018 17:55:26
I love that for Portland! CJ becomes the face, Love opens the floor to develop Nurkic Nice foundation you 6-8 years depending on health.

This trade makes James departure so easy. Dame in the East makes it easy to build around. Trade James to the Lakers for 3 1sts, Kuzma Randle and Clarkson and Cleveland would be straight. Nash went for 3 1sts so I don’t think that’s too much.

Memphis Just has to do its part in the draft and they could come out better than the other two teams in this trade. That’s 2 top 10 picks. Porter will sink because of injuries and the best wing available should set them up for success down the road.

Mr. Big D

1.) 12 Jan 2018 15:34:01
I'd like it for the Cavs if Beverly was healthy, but Jordan alone isn't worth the Nets pick for the Cavs.

2.) 12 Jan 2018 23:49:06
My favorite is rest griffin. No injury. Just decide to not play him for a pick.

Great strategy.

13 Dec 2017 18:55:32

CLE get: Mike Conley and Marc Gasol

MEM get: Tristan Thompson, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye (exp), 2018 1st DP BKN (via CLE) and 2019 1st DP CLE

Mr. Big D

1.) 13 Dec 2017 20:25:10
It would be a perfect if the Cavs could pull something like this off, but they've already traded their 2019 pick with protection and can't trade their own picks to 2021 if they trade the Brooklyn pick and I don't think this is nearly enough to pull this off as is.

2.) 13 Dec 2017 20:36:05
For Ohio residents it would be a beautiful thing to see. In Memphis? Not so much. Shumpert, Smith, Frye, Thompson all are players with holes in their games. You would have to assume Memphis is just giving up on 2 perennial talents in Conley, and Gasol. The picks are enough to bribe a team to take these guys, and their contracts, but what would Memphis receive for Gasol, and Conley?

3.) 14 Dec 2017 19:11:45
cleveland just doesn't have the assets to get those two guys together. its hard to even incorporate a 3rd team unless said team gets IT or the nets pick (and i'm pretty sure mem would want the pick)

the level porzingis is playing at now; they might as well try to build a contender around him. Conley is not super athletic, nor does he crash the rim at all.. he will remain healthy/all star caliber for the next 5-7 years. Why rebuild when you can contend?
