In an attempt to keep George in town the Pacers do the following.

NY~IND

NY rec: Ellis($11.2m), Jefferson($10m), Lavoy Allen($4.1m, non-guaranteed~Waived), #47

IND rec: Melo($26.2m), Oquinn($4.1m)

This trade allows the Knicks to get all money off the books next year. Jefferson has $10m non guaranteed deal in 2018-2019 and Ellis has $11m player option. Pacers get Melo, which is a big boost to our offense. This also opens the possibility for some other things to happen.

LAC~IND

LAC rec: Jeff Teague(S&T), 2018 1st top 5 protected
IND rec: Chris Paul(S&T)

Indianapolis is a great basketball town, maybe the presence of George and Melo to go along with a huge cap to spend in FA in 2018-2019. Might bring in a possibility of LBJ coming to join (Paul, Melo and PG) in 2018? DWade for that matter as well.

Paul, Young
Stephenson,GR3
George, Niang(13th man)
Melo, Thad Young
Turner, Seraphin, Christmas(12th man)

This would bring 2017-2018 roster to 11 spots, with need for a back up point, and a big defense and rebounding back up center. Also still have #18 pick(Giles, Abedajo, Patton or Donovan Mitchell) in the draft.

I think that is a team LBJ and Wade might be interested in joining in 2018-2019? Banana Boat + PG and Turner.

Thoughts?

And for the record I've been hoping we move PG for a while now, I just don't think he can get it done as the number 1 option. This scenario he could thrive though.

Forgot to throw Oquinn in the depth chart.

Paul, Stephenson, Joe Young
Stephenson, Robinson III
George, Robinson III, Niang
Melo, Thad Young, Oquinn
Turner, Oquinn, Seraphin, Christmas

And hope Donovan Mitchell slips to #18.

I don't think Melo or Paul want to go to the Pacers and I don't believe you can s and t players from both sides. While Melo's value isn't very high, expiring contracts alone aren't going to get him.

Clippers can't trade a 1st until 2021 at earliest. They have already traded this year's and 2019.

4.) 11 Jun 2017 23:26:27
Clippers ate getting Pacers pick.

Pretty sure you can trade for (2) s&t, as long as the players agree on the deal and team.

Pelicans ~ Kings

Pelicans rec:
Cousins
McClemore

Kings rec:
Hield
Tyreke Evans
Tim Frazier
2017 1st(unprotected)
2018 swap rights
2021 1st(unprotected)

I saw a report that Pelicans has talks with Kings about Cousins. Can't imagine it being realistic. If Kings were really considering that Magic offer I think they could potentially be interested in this deal. However this trade could turn out very poorly for Nola if Cousins doesn't resign with them.

Pacers ~ Nets

Pacers rec:
Brook Lopez
Bojan Bogdanovic

Nets rec:
Monta Ellis
Al Jefferson
2017 1st
2018 2nd

I saw the (2) 1st plus players earlier, not sure it is going to take 2. Ellis, Jefferson would help the young guys, they need to at least try to be competitive so they can try to lower the value of that '18 pick.

i made this trade earlier.
I think we have to give 2 1rnd picks if we want Lopez.
That team could win 60 games, so that become late first round picks

c: B Lopez
PF: Turner
SF: PG13
SG: CJ Miles
PG: Teague
sixth: Young.

Pacers ~ Celtics

Pacers rec:
Brad Stevens
Amir Johnson
Jaylen Brown
2017 Nets pick
(1) other non Nets 1st round pick

Celtics rec:
Paul George

Celtics hire Kevin Mchale as HC.

Awesome.

2.) 18 Feb 2017 23:14:06
We should keep PG13
But i like him in Green, if we trade him.

3.) 18 Feb 2017 23:22:10
Gonna take both Brooklyn picks and Jaylen brown. Might even need smart as well.

But that would probably be the best offer Indy could get. They would take it.

4.) 19 Feb 2017 01:20:23
That would be stupid brad steven is a great coach and he's much better than kevin McHale.

5.) 19 Feb 2017 05:48:36
First. McHale over Stevens is a STUPID thought!
Second. Both picks and brown and Young and whatever might open up a deal. they would still need a center and that would cost the C' Smart/ Crowder/ Bradley plus their own pick next year or one or one or both of the 2019 picks LAC/ Mem.
Honestly. I would rather keep this core and add D Howard and see where that goes. If i'd didn't work out then he could be traded next year. Keeping this core and just adding makes the most sense without losing much is the best scenario.

6.) 19 Feb 2017 17:35:39
Bill. For I was the celtics I'd trade both Brooklyn picks and jaylen brown and smart for Paul George. Then play George at pf and horrified at center.

Lakers ~ Thunder

Lakers rec:
Andre Roberson

Thunder rec:
Nick Young

Nice player for player trade.

Thunder get some floor spacing, Lakers get some defense.

Neither contract for Ellis and Jefferson are bad.

Ellis has 1 year left then PO for $12m for 18-19 (likely to out out.

Jefferson has 1 guaranteed year left then $10m non guaranteed for 18-19.

Will be a good trade chip come the deadline to a team looking to clear cap in 18-19.

Williams is exactly what the Pacers need.

Christmas and Young aren't anything, just salary filler. Comes down to 1st for Williams.

I definitely think before its over LA will get a 1st for Lou.

I would do this deal.

I could just as easily see them take back Chandler with Tucker.

Bos rec:
Chandler
Tucker

Pho rec:
Zeller
Jerebko
Pick a non Nets 1st, or possibly (2) 2nds since Boston is taking Chandler back. Which is a need and would be a solid pick up.
