Not seeing the Warriors wanting a lot in draft picks (theirs and Minnys)

MIN was always been a decent offensive team, but where they’ve struggled is defensively. This deal removes two of their best defenders in Covington and Dieng, and replaces them with a guy who is the eighth WORST player in the NBA in DRPM.
Also, any deal that has Russell coming in would have to have Wiggins going out, if even to a third team. Russell takes the ball out of Wiggins hands, and he wilts in that role, like the season with Jimmy Butler. Moreover, the Wolves couldn’t fix their team, with three max deals.
I think this price over-estimates what a one-way player Russell is. Yes, we see him score, but he can’t defend, can’t get to the rim, and can’t get his own shot without a screen. His lack of athleticism is the reason for all three, so I don’t see these problems getting fixed as he gets older.

It’s the deal that Minny would take, at 1-5, the Rockets May be feeling the pinch enough to add Gordon, but I just wouldn’t mortgage that much of my future for Butler right now. The depth is gone in Houston, and while Butler makes them better at both ends, I don’t see this thin roster competing with the Warriors.

I think the wolves are bent on trading him to the east. Philly looks on par with Detroit so far and the heat won't be in the playoffs at the rate they are going. One of them is likely to come closer than before to a deal.

The Twolves are not going to take on James Johnsons contact. I think a more reasonable trade for both teams would be:
Twolves- Richardson and Winslow
Heat- Butler.
