Wait. San Antonio and Portland are giving up picks, and Miami gets the two stars involved in the trade? That's a bit nuts. The second trade makes some sense, but I still think Whiteside is insanely overrated, so I don't think I would do this myself as the Raptors, but I could see it being worthwhile for others.

Miami gets a Hell of a squad, and the Spurs get middle of the road players nearing the end of the they-still-might-improve-realm. Not very balanced trade. NBA is quid pro quo. UTA got Crowder who's under contract long-term, dumped Johnson without eating 5 mil by waiving, and gave Hood away basically because he wasn't going to sign obviously. It's not a great trade, but UTA achieved roster/ salary stability, SAC saved money long term on Hill, CLE may make a title run this season. Spurs are just eating sh*t here for Kawhi.

I love that comparing it to the trade offered right below. This guy thinks to swap out Winslow for 2 bench players the blazers must give up a 1st and a 2nd?

The heat have nowhere near the talent to bring in both these players let alone possibly just 1.

Dragic is on the decline and at his best was above average. Barely.

Whiteside just isnâ€™t the game changer that he should be.

Itâ€™s that simple.

Assuming they do get him, they wonâ€™t have the assets or cap space to get either of them. Plus, Irving has said heâ€™s staying and the Heat didnâ€™t make Kawhiâ€™s list.

The Heat are a good place. I guess butlers worth 4 yrs 135 million. Not sure why the wolves chose to pay Wiggins or KAT over butler after trading Lavine, dunn, and Markannen for him. This one is going to sting. Thibs is getting fired probably. I know butler said it's not about the money but look at their cap, it's about the money and not just a little bit.

I would say 1st round picks if possible because jimmy will leave after one season and a rebuild is necessary that roster just doesnâ€™t look appealing a lot of over paid decent players. and I live in Miami!
