Thunder and Blazers Trade

Westbrook and Roberson for Lillard and Turner

Straight Up. Roberson and Turner has equal years in terms of Contract and you can extend Lillard to Paul George Level for another 2-3 years and Lillard is a year younger than Russell - I would throw in a pair of 2nd Round Picks to sweeten the deal if Blazers wants to depart Lillard. Lillard and George would be a better and more cohesive duo.

Most of you would not do this trade; and I understand that.

Rather keep Roberson and Westbrook.

2.) 04 Oct 2018 21:56:11
Triangle why?

3.) 04 Oct 2018 22:20:13
I think both teams would rather keep their current star PG over swapping.

4.) 05 Oct 2018 00:56:09
Westbrick for lillard is fair in terms of championships and likely future championships without major 1st tier talent surrounding them. Who puts more person-like clueless fans in seats? Westbrick by far. His worth to a franchise is unique in that respect.

5.) 05 Oct 2018 13:03:42
I’d counter with this Btec: Westbrook is hated in Portland. Hated. Lillard would be a much better fan draw for the Blazers than Westbrook.

6.) 05 Oct 2018 13:36:34
Shiller, it’s more about Roberson vs. Turner than Westbrook vs. Lillard.

7.) 05 Oct 2018 14:45:07
I still like Turner. is he overpaid? Absolutely. But if you use him correctly, he's a solid asset. The problem is, he's not a good fit for either team. He should essentially be the backup point guard, facilitating for the rest of the squad. The Thunder already have Schroder in that role.

8.) 05 Oct 2018 16:14:48
Well, that's not a very high moral code for the formerly known as trailblazers fan base. I thought it was about team and not 1 individual?

9.) 05 Oct 2018 19:20:40
It certainly is more than one individual, but at the same time, you can't ignore your fans and go against everything they would want. You can't dump a hero around the city for a bitter rival.

Also, the Jailblazer era really hurt the team in the eyes of the fans. Among all of the teams in the NBA, Portland has to be among the most cautious of losing their fan base again.

10.) 05 Oct 2018 19:59:49
There is not one good reason to blackball westbrick from Portland. He has no criminal charges, and he gets triple doubles. Would satisfy most blazer fans I know. I can't ever see westbrick for lillard but I think the fans would welcome westbrick if he was around for a while. Portland businesses feed the homeless at a ridiculous rate, I'd imagine they'd embrace westbrick after a season or 2.

OKC / IND / ATL

Thunder gets Young (PF) and Sabonis from the Pacers

+1 win on the Trade Machine

Hawks gets Adams from the Thunder

+4 wins on the Trade Machine

Pacers gets Plumlee and Dedmon from the Hawks. Pacers gets a future 1st Round Pick from Atlanta and a 2nd Round Pick from Oklahoma City.

-4 wins on the Trade Machine.

OKCFAN

1.) 23 Sep 2018 18:43:54
I think the pacers should get a little more for taking plumlee.

INDIANA PACERS GETS

Adams and Roberson from the Thunder and Aldridge from the Spurs. Adams and Aldridge has three years remaining on their contracts.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS GETS

Young and Bogdanovic from the Pacers.

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER GETS BACK

Oladipo and Sabonis from the Paul George Trade and Thunder give the Pacers draft picks in the Future to make this trade complete.

Thunder Starting Lineup

Westbrook
Oladipo
Sabonis
George
Grant

Maybe not perfect but according to the NBA Trade Machine -- Thunder gained 7 wins and with Oladipo and Ferguson handling the Shooting Guard spot and Westbrook and Schroder at the point -- our guards in good hands.

You can give the monies to Sabonis to anchor the Center spot and with Grant and Patterson at the Power Forward spot -- the Thunder has finally got the depth at every position and with Noel backing up Sabonis were set to be a better team than the Rockets and I believe that we don't need 1st Round Picks until 2022 to rebuild. I know this trade is a dream trade for OKC -- but I will face backlash from you guys and believe me if Presti can pull this off -- OKC can challenge the Warriors seriously.

you just gave me a hartattack.
Can you explain me why the Pacers would do this?

2.) 10 Sep 2018 19:41:26
The Pacers won’t and shouldn’t trade Oladipo.

3.) 10 Sep 2018 19:49:27
Spurs say no.

4.) 10 Sep 2018 21:07:38
I love how the trade is essentially "Oops, sorry, we gave you too good of players for Paul George. Could you please give them back and take these two inferior players instead? " OKC fans are hilarious.

5.) 10 Sep 2018 21:58:18
Also, it's two separate trades, not one big one:

Young and Bogdanovic for Aldridge (terrible for SA)

Oladipo and Sabonis for Adams and Roberson (horrible for Indy, like hilariously horrible for Indy) . I'd probably take Sabonis over Adams due to Adams bad contract, and Oladipo is lightyears above Roberson.

You're right, you'll get backlash. But that's only because this trade is reeeeealy one sided. Like D_Drainer or MD_StaySmooth one sided.

Indiana Pacers

Get Jimmy Butler and Jeff Teague from the Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves

Get Steve Adams, Andre Roberson from the Thunder, and Collision from the Pacers and a future 1st Pick from the Thunder and a future 2nd Round Pick from the Timberwolves.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Get back Oladipo from the Pacers and Gorgui Dieng from the Timberwolves.

Thunder Starting Lineup

Westbrook
Oladipo
Dieng
George
Grant.

OKCFAN

1.) 07 Sep 2018 15:30:40
Why would Indy trade Oladipo for Butler? Butler is a little better, but Oladipo is younger, locked up multiple years, and actually wants to be in Indy.

2.) 07 Sep 2018 15:34:21
Why would Indy consider this?

3.) 07 Sep 2018 19:31:16
Not only does Indy say no, Thunder say no. They would not trade Adams, Roberson, and a 1st for Oladipo and Dieng. Adams fits the team better and is a young beast who will still improve, and who terrorizes teams on the offensive glass and great in P&R, Andre Roberson is a 1st or 2nd all defensive team calliber player every year when healthy and a 1st round pick.

4.) 07 Sep 2018 21:37:39
I think that if they felt like Noel could produce at an even passable level, OKC would do it. If you throw Oladip back on that team, it’s pretty interesting.

5.) 07 Sep 2018 22:31:34
I'd take that trade in a second if I'm OKC.

Adams is an above average center, but barely. Is he a top 10 center?

Roberson is a nice role player, but is replaceable.

Oladipo is an all star, he's a top 30 player in the league. You shouldn't clutch onto role players if it means you could get a star.

6.) 08 Sep 2018 00:01:34
For years to come, Oladipo could be better than Butler.

I just can't see the Thunder making any moves before the Trade Deadline to replace the injured Andre Roberson for sure ... our assets are very limited and good at all.
