Boston Offseason
BOS- Jalil Okafor, 2017 PHI 1st (unprotected), 2019 Sac 1st (unprotected)
PHI- Isaiah Thomas
Boston should not pay Thomas top money. He is a very good player, but giving a 31 year old PG that kind of money is silly. They should capitalize on his career year and move him now. They have a lot of picks to build on. They would have a top 5 pick in 2016 (BRK), 17 (BRK/PHI), 18 (BRK), 19 (SAC) and be able to spend a lot of FA. To me moving Thomas now is crucial to making this team dominant.
BOS- Blake Griffin (extend MAX)
LAC- Avery Bradley, 2018 BRK swap rights, 2019 SAC Pick
SIGN
SG Gordon Heyward to MAX
DRAFT
1- PG Lonzo Ball
5- SG Malik Monk
PG- Marcus Smart/Lonzo Ball
SG- Gordon Heyward/Malik Monk
SF- Jae Crowder/Jaylon Brown
PF- Blake Griffin/Jalil Okafor
C- Al Horford/Ante Zizic
This gives Boston some quality Vets and high upside talent at every position. This team would be in prime position in the East for a while.
1.) 06 Mar 2017 19:04:48
Boston isn't the only team that knows IT is getting old and is due a big pay raise next summer. IT makes less sense for 76ers who are farther from contending than the Celtics and no way they'd give up that much for him especially when it may only be a one year rental.
Celtics are no lock to get the #1 pick (only 25% chance) so they may not be able to get Fultz or Ball and may have to cough up the money for IT. There are a bunch of worse players to be giving money to. In a trade not sure they'd be able to get enough in return to seriously consider dealing IT.
2.) 07 Mar 2017 03:28:33
Boston doesn't need anymore draft picks, they have enough now. They need all-star players and Okafor is not one of them.
IT4 will be 29 not 31 when he gets paid and unless he takes a 3 year deal with an opt out after 2 he won't be signing with Boston, and he's not going to do that. I can foresee an IT4 and 18 Bkn pick as the main pieces trade with the Bulls for Butler though and then the 17 Bkn and many more pieces and picks for Wesbrook.
3.) 07 Mar 2017 13:27:26
Though I agree with boston trading IT. It would be pretty risky given he is the main reason for a lot of thier wins. Atleast offensively. Obviously the hope would be that fultz could duplicate that, but without knowing they have 1, I'm not sure anyone else in this draft is as gifted offensively as IT.
Philly laughs at this offer thoughim as I'd hope most boston fans would agree, given most of thier takes of not trading the Brooklyn 1st in 2017.
4.) 07 Mar 2017 14:51:58
If Boston does trade IT it will only be a trade for another scorer, Butler or a Westbrook, Griffin, Harden type player. I don't think 76'ers laugh at that offer, of course they would also want one of the many Boston non BKN future picks. Boston would be the one laughing (IMO) . Philly has been jinxed with 1st rd. picks as far as players getting hurt to go along with sucking for a few years.
That 17 and 18 BKN pick will only be for a star player. Ainge has to do something big in the next year or else they will be forced to either sign IT and Bradley and just content being a 1st rd. or 2nd rd. departure from the playoffs with the window already passing before their eyes with no championship.
5.) 07 Mar 2017 15:34:15
@Bill
The idea that phillys picks have been "jinxed" and/ or "sucked is irrevant and false in the case of them sucking.
The deal above suggests 2 projected top 5 picks and guy who would be a starter for them. Very laughable seeing the sixers would need to resign him.
6.) 07 Mar 2017 17:59:42
IT is 27 years old. if we give him the 5 year max at 28 he will be 33 at the end (perfect age to release after)
7.) 07 Mar 2017 19:14:54
He's 28 and has another year left. he'd be 30 midway thru the first year of the new contract. No thanks.
8.) 08 Mar 2017 02:54:40
I just think they should be further along then they are and their bigs have been the jinxed ones by injuries and then trading Noel. Where do you think the Celtics are going to put all these picks? They be only hurting their growth if they keep then in the D league and stashing others stashed overseas. They need stars not picks nor Okafor.

Knicks Offseason
Sign
PG Jrue Holiday 4 years $90 million
Trade
NYK- Brook Lopez
BRK- 7th pick, Joakim Noah
Draft
2nd (from CHI)- PG, Melo Trimble
PG- Jrue Holiday/Melo Trimble
SG- Courtney Lee/Lance Thomas
SF- Carmelo Anthony/Mindaugas Kuzminskas
PF- Kristaps Porzingis/Kyle O'Quinn
C- Brook Lopez/Willy Hernangomez
1.) 03 Mar 2017 20:41:00
Don't think you want to give injury prone Holiday that much money and 4 years.
2.) 03 Mar 2017 22:16:00
The knicks have to overpay to get free agents. They can't short change a guy and hope to land him. They're not a FA destination.
3.) 03 Mar 2017 23:40:51
Brk wants no part of Noah and his contract, they're better off just waiting a yr. and shedding Lopez's contract. Then start over and make right basketball decisions going forward.
4.) 03 Mar 2017 23:50:29
That is accurate $ on Jrue.
The Noah trade is a close call. Getting one extra year of having to pay Noah (after Lopez wiuld be done), but getting a good pick in a good draftin return. They have the cap room and sucking again next year benefits them so not the worst idea.
5.) 04 Mar 2017 00:58:26
The nets would be insane to turn that down. They're rebuilding, they need rookie deals anyway, so one bad deal really wouldn't hurt them. Getting a top 10 pick for Lopez would be a steal.
6.) 04 Mar 2017 03:59:35
I trade O'Quinn Hernangomez Plumlee 7th pick for Whiteside McRoberts or Jordan if Clippers rebuilds Griffin goes to Boston or Utah and CP3 to Pelicans or Chicago.
Melo needs an anchor. Next to Porzingis now it is dominating front court.
Sign MCW with exception
MCW/ Galloway/ Randle
Lee/ Holiday/ Baker
Melo/ Thomas/ Kuzminskas
Porzingis/ Inglis/ Hicks-2nd
Jordan/ Noah/ T. Bryant-2nd.
7.) 04 Mar 2017 04:30:30
That would be the only reason why a trade like this would go down is for that top 10 pick, Knicks would do it but Nets would never. But 23, your off a year. Noah is for 3 more years after this season @ 55.5 million vs 1 year at 22.6 million of Lopez. I'll tell you why this is not a good deal, that top 10 pick would cost the Nets 11 million a year without adding in that picks salary, because Noah is toast. Not a good business decision. Brooklyn is still paying for their 1st bad move, you expect them to do it again? I doubt it.
Raising the cap to 102m from 64m in 2 years is going to pay mediocre players like great players, absolutely absurd.
The more I think about it the more I think IT4 will get traded within the next year, because Boston will not pay him a max deal. There is not enough cap space to add a max player next year unless they let everyone walk that has no contract at the end of this season, and make a trade.
8.) 04 Mar 2017 04:57:40
You're right, I thought Noah was only 2 years after this current one. I probably decline that trade if I'm BKN in this case.
9.) 04 Mar 2017 10:26:17
Brooklyn is screwed for a few more years, they need picks, no free agents will sign there, because they're burned.
Maybe:
Knicks: b Lopez
Nets:J Noah+ 1rn pick 2018 and 2020.
10.) 04 Mar 2017 16:35:38
Knicks fans always wanna rush to make playoffs they should add some young talent to complement Porzingis not injury prone C and pg you already have that in rose and Noah and how's that working for you. This draft is loaded with pg's and forwards which could give them a much more promising future.

Kings Offseason
Trade
PHI- Garrett Temple
SAC- Jalil Okafor
Sign
PG Brandon Jennings 3 years $39 million
Draft
5- Jayson Tatum, SF
7- De'Aaron Fox, PG
PG- Brandon Jennings/De'Aaron Fox
SG- Aaron Afflalo/Buddy Hield/Malachi Richardson
SF- Rudy Gay/Jayson Tatum
PF- Jalil Okafor/Anthony Tolliver/Skal Labissiere
C- Willie Cauley-Stein/Kosta Koufos/Georgios Papagiannis
This team can start putting young players in place and rebuild rather quickly if Hield, Okafor and WCS take steps forward.
Gay and Afflalo will be in their final years of their contract. So if this team starts taking steps they have a lot of cap space to make a run at some players in 2018 to pair with their youth.
1.) 03 Mar 2017 16:01:47
Okafor cannot play PF on either end. He's a backup 5.
2.) 03 Mar 2017 16:38:06
Starting afflalo and Gay seems like a waste. Starting lineup should be:
PG: Jennings
SG: Heild
SF: Tatum
PF: WCS
C: Okafor
I think WCS is also more suited to play PF than Okafor (though neither really is) .
3.) 03 Mar 2017 18:15:55
I would start
Jennings, Hield, Tatum, Gay, WCS.

DAL- Joakim Noah, 2018 CHI 2nd
PG- Chris Paul
SG- Malik Monk
SF- Carmelo Anthony/Lance Thomas
PF- Kristaps Porzingis/Kyle O'Quinn
C- Joakim Noah/Willy Hernangomez
1.) 24 Feb 2017 17:09:27
Why woul Dallas do this?
They can take bad contracts and rebuilt, but give them atleast the NY pick (unprotected) and Kuzminskas
And why would NY give anything for D Wade? He can become a free agent and they shouldn't trade him if he asked 25 Million.
And they should only trade for CP3 without a sign and trade. They need this years pick get a talented young player.
2.) 24 Feb 2017 17:11:03
you traded Noah and your 2017 1st, they shouldn't be in the lineup.
3.) 24 Feb 2017 19:19:07
Sorry meant Wade not Monk.
4.) 24 Feb 2017 19:26:10
This is garbage.
5.) 24 Feb 2017 20:55:52
No interest from Dallas in Noah, actually, no interest in Noah by anyone who isn't that moron Phil Jackson.
If the Knicks are looking at building around Zinger, why would the Knicks give up younger assets (picks, Kuz) for two older players who are just starting to decline. Instead of one Melo, now you have three.
24 Feb 2017 16:37:40
Clippers Offseason

PF- Jalil Okafor/Luc Mbah a Moute
C- DeAndre Jordan/Maurice Speights
1.) 24 Feb 2017 19:30:08
Change that 2018 pick to 2017.
2.) 25 Feb 2017 01:01:34
Change that Brooklyn pick to 19 LAC pick and J Young.
3.) 25 Feb 2017 04:41:02
First. Ou are officially the worst poster.
Second. Sign and trade for the 1st overall pick? Seriously?
4.) 27 Feb 2017 19:45:30
Why would the Celtics move all that when they'll have the cap space to just sign Griffin? That's number one. Number two, you now have no power forwards on the team. Neither Okafor or Mbah a Moute are a fit for that position. If anything, you should be starting Crowder there with Mbah a Moute or Johnson starting at the 3.

The Magic should move one of Ibaka and Vucavic. Since Biyombo is a defensive big, i think they should keep Vuc and pair them together. Crowder can fill the 3 and Smart can come play PG and provide more offense than Peyton.

I keep seeing (and posting) trades involving the Celtics BRK picks. I just can't see them trading them away. I can see them getting Griffin or Milsap in the offseason and using those picks to sure up the bench (and future). They would be smart to keep the picks and load their team with young potential stars.
1.) 27 Jan 2017 02:36:16
Boston needs a backup wing who can shoot. Josh Jackson isn't really that. And I'd also like to see them waive Tyler Zeller (non-guaranteed) and then bring back Amir Johnson or sign another backup big man
2.) 27 Jan 2017 16:08:28
Yeah definitely agree with NBA. And if the Celtics were looking to get the shooting in the draft I wouldn't mind them trying to trade down for Monk and obtaining future more future draft picks

27 Jan 2017 17:11:34
Business over personal relationships. He would HAVE to move Rivers to get Melo. The Knicks aren't just giving Melo away.
23 Jan 2017 15:36:58
So a future 1st round pick for Cousins? Bosh is done. he has 0 value.
20 Jan 2017 18:33:09
Why? Evans is a FA at the end of the year. Hield can step into the 2. Okafor is under control for 3 more years. He gives NO a very good front court to build around.
06 Jan 2017 14:38:11
So the Lakers trade two top 2 picks for future picks? Why would they do that? They're building around Russell and Ingram.
