Celtics - Knicks - Rockets

Knicks Send - Kristaps Porzingis, Carmelo Anthony, Joakim Noah
Knicks Receive - Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Jordan Mickey, 2018 Brooklyn 1st Round Pick, 2018 Lakers Pick if Lakers land 2-5, otherwise 2019 Kings Pick, Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, 2020 Houston 1st Round Pick, 2018 Indiana Second Round Pick

Knicks dump Joakim Noah's salary and get an overpayment for Melo and Kristaps. They get a lot of future picks for a potential rebuild but haven't hit the rebuild button yet, might need to make a few more trades for young players, but with all the assets they have recieved they should be fine making this trade.

Celtics Send - Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Jordan Mickey, 2018 Nets 1st Round Pick, 2018 Lakers Pick if Lakers land 2-5, otherwise 2019 Kings Pick
Celtics Receive - Kristaps Porzingis

Celtics possibly overpay for Porzingis but they are able to get rid of Crowder, paving the way for Hayward and Tatum while getting rid of Smart and Mickey's contracts in order to sign Hayward. They get another young star who can help them take down Lebron in the east, and they keep assets like Tatum and Brown who they can potentially use later to trade for another star player.

Houston Send - Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza, 2019 Houston 1st Round Pick, 2020 Houston 1st Round Pick
Houston Recieve - Carmelo Anthony

Houston become a bigger threat in the west with this trade. They may lack depth, but their starting lineup will be one of the best in the league, and it will most likely translate to more wins. The Rockets have expressed interest in Anthony and he has said he will waive his no trade clause if he gets traded to Houston or Cleveland.

Brooklyn send - 2018 Indiana Second Round Pick
Brooklyn Recieve - 2019 Houston 1st Round Pick, Joakim Noah

Brooklyn sends relatively nothing in exchange for a Joakim Noah salary dump and a late first round pick in 2019. The Nets won't mind taking on a salary at the moment as they have lots of cap, and Noah can step into the starting center position now that Lopez is gone, much needed by the Nets.

Porzingis trade isn't bad, but I don't see Ainge being willing to part with that much (I'd argue KP is worth it) . If the Knicks could get that it might be worth it.

The Rockets can't trade back to back picks so it would have to be the 2020 and 2022 picks since they already trade the 18 and I don't see them including Gordon. It would have to be Anderson.

Noah's contract is terrible and I don't see anyone taking it on for a pick like Houston's. It would have to be a pick with lottery potential.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 11:36:07
yeah but remember it is the Nets, and they could do with Noah as a backup for Jarrett Allen. Maybe Knicks send the Nets a pick too.

Boston sends - Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko, Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, James Young
Boston receives - Demarcus Cousins, Gordon Hayward
Sacramento sends - Demarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay, 2017 worst pick out of Philly/ Sac protected if Sacramento have to convey their pick to Chicago (if it is outside top 10). In that case Sacramento convey their 2020 1st round pick Utah.
Sacramento receives - Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko, Jaylen Brown, 2017 Brooklyn 1st pick swap, 2018 Brooklyn 1st
Utah sends - Gordon Hayward
Utah receives - Rudy Gay, Kelly Olynyk, 2017 worst pick out of Philly/ Sac protected if Sacramento have to convey their pick to Chicago (if it is outside top 10). In that case Sacramento convey their 2020 1st round pick Utah.
Denver sends - Will Barton
Denver receives - James Young, 2019 Los Angeles C 1st, 2019 Memphis 1st

This trade focuses on Boston getting better so I'm only going to do Boston's depth for now. Checked on NBA Trade Machine.
Boston -
PG Isaiah Thomas, Terry Rozier, Demetrius Jackson
SG Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart, Gerald Green, RJ Hunter
SF Gordon Hayward, Will Barton, Abdel Nader
PF Al Horford, Jordan Mickey, Ben Bentil
C Demarcus Cousins, Tyler Zeller

Boston have a couple more 1st round picks and lots of seconds if anybody thinks one team is getting a rip off that they could easily add.

1.) 18 Oct 2016 15:53:29
Yeah there is no way that the Celtics are trading 5 rotation players as well as 4 1st round picks for those three players.

Hayward is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and plenty of teams will be on his pursuit.

Barton is nothing special at all and only looked special because Denver had no one to score for them.

Cousins, while he is the best center in the game he is still a head case and could potential destroy the team and what we have built.

2.) 19 Oct 2016 09:59:18
well i suppose boston could do this on the basis an extension is signed prior.

Milwaukee Bucks
Outgoing - Greg Monroe, Jabari Parker
Incoming - Marc Gasol
Minnesota Timberwolves
Outgoing - Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, 2019 Minnesota First Round (Lottery Protected)
Incoming - Greg Monroe, Iman Shumpert
Memphis Grizzlies
Outgoing - Marc Gasol, Brandan Wright, Deyonta Davis, Jordan Adams, Wade Baldwin IV
Incoming - Ricky Rubio, Nikola Pekovic, Jabari Parker, Georgios Papagiannis, Skal Labissiere, 2017 Cleveland First Round
Cleveland Cavaliers
Outgoing - Iman Shumpert, 2017 Cleveland First Round
Incoming - Zach Randolph
Sacramento Kings
Outgoing - Georgios Papagiannis, Skal Labissiere
Incoming - Brandan Wright, Wade Baldwin IV, Deyonta Davis, Jordan Adams, 2019 Minnesota 1st Round (Lottery Protected)

Milwaukee Become a bigger threat trying to move out of rebuild mode.
Minnesota get rid of Rubio to make way for Dunn and get rid of Pekovic who has been sidelined with injury while picking up two solid players.
Memphis look to rebuild by shopping Gasol and picking up good young solid players.
The Cavaliers just make a good trade getting rid of Shumpert to allow more game time for JR Smith and Zach Randolph is a really nice solid veteran addition who will be hungry for some rings.
The Kings look to add more depth. Their next move should be to trade Demarcus Cousins and go into full rebuild mode. I feel like this years draft didn't go to great and they should wait a few years and get some really good talent for the future from high picks.
Any changes or picks/ assets that should be added to some of the teams?

2.) 01 Sep 2016 14:03:43

Boston Celtics send - Amir Johnson, Jonas Jerebko, Kelly Olynyk, RJ Hunter, 2018 1st Round Brooklyn, 2019 1st Round Memphis
recieve - Demarcus Cousins
Sacramento Kings send - Demarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay
recieve - Amir Johnson, Wilson Chandler, KJ McDaniels, Kelly Olynyk, Jusuf Nurkic, Sam Dekker, Clint Capela, 2018 1st Round Brooklyn
Denver Nuggets send - Wilson Chandler, Jusuf Nurkic, Gary Harris
recieve - Patrick Beverly, Jonas Jerebko, RJ Hunter, 2017 1st Round Houston, 2019 1st Round Memphis
Houston Rockets send - Patrick Beverley, KJ McDaniels, Sam Dekker, Clint Capela, 2017 1st Round Houston
recieve - Rudy Gay, Gary Harris

Boston recieve a star for a package of players and picks freeing up roster space.
Sacramento get rid of two stars who want to leave and begin to rebuild. They can make more trades for picks or waive lesser players to find space in the roster.
Denver continue to rebuild getting rid of two players who a secondary in their position on the Nuggets and recieving some quality players as well as picks. They also make way for Jamal Murray by getting rid of Gary Harris.
Houston find a solid star in Rudy Gay to pair with Harden. However they should look to move either Gordon or Harris for a point guard to replace Beverley.
Approved by NBA trade machine.

1.) 07 Aug 2016 04:27:59
So Boston gives a bunch of bench pieces and a 1st two years away and a Grizzlies first 3 years away. And they get cousins? Fair value.

2.) 07 Aug 2016 05:13:58
seems legit.

3.) 07 Aug 2016 09:29:13
buller you must be a NBA2K trade Fan huh? this is silly and you will NEVER SEE TRADES LIKE THIS IN REALITY.!
and you said someone elses trade was "terrible". REALLY?

4.) 07 Aug 2016 10:03:56
Yeah I know its never going to happen but it checks out
Im not dumb i'm just exploring some options
Oh and by the way Boston might get a great deal but that dosen't mean another team won't do it, it's all about if it's unfair for a team.

5.) 07 Aug 2016 14:01:11
Ok. Here's why the Kings don't do it. And why all the teams don't. You have to relatively match up the players. So the Kings send out two players and get 7 back and a pick.

What's the point there? They going to field a roster of 20?

That's why the teams are getting screwed. They cut everyone and like the kings, end up with maybe 3-4 decent players and a pick for cousins and gay? It's a terrible trade. Well, it's good for the Celtics.

But thanks for the heads up on how trades work!

6.) 07 Aug 2016 15:59:17
What's the point of the Celtics even giving up any players? They're all off of the kings roster in a year or so whether it be by getting cut or going to the d league.

26 Jul 2016 10:46:57
Utah - Amir Johnson, Jae Crowder, James Young
Bos - Gordon Hayward
NBA trade machine approved.

buller

1.) 26 Jul 2016 11:02:36
I don't like trading Crowder for Hayward.
Crowder is on a reasonalbe conttract and i rather trade him for other reasonable contracts. (Butler, Cousins, . )
Hayward is a free agent next year, so if Boston wants him, they should sign him for free, because he's going to be expensive to keep (get)

2.) 26 Jul 2016 12:31:41
Don't think it's that big an upgrade especially when they could potentially sign Hayward next summer. Crowders cheap contract gives Celtics a lot of versatility.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 16:59:52
What does Hayward do better than Crowder other than score? My answer would be nothing. Crowder is the better defender, rebounder and can also match up well when we decide to go small with him at the 4, Hayward can't. So to add an other starter to the trade just doesn't seem like a good deal for the Celtics. Young is just a throw in and is going to be out of the league in a year or two anyways.

And as the others said Hayward will be a free agent and we could get him then.

4.) 26 Jul 2016 20:04:28
Agree that Boston should wait for free agency since they have a leg up with Stevens being there, but to say Crowder is close to Hayward is delusional.

5.) 26 Jul 2016 23:17:10
Like I asked in my response. What does Hayward do better than Crowder other than score?

6.) 27 Jul 2016 17:42:45
Scoring, Passing. With Steven's Hayward would be a 20/ 6/ 5 guy.

BOS - SAC - MIL - MEM

BOS Recieve - DeMarcus Cousins (with extension signed), John Henson
BOS Send - Amir Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, James Young, Jonas Jerebko, 2017 Brooklyn 1st Round pick swap, 2018 Brooklyn 1st Round

SAC Recieve - Michael Carter-Williams, Amir Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, James Young, 2017 Brooklyn 1st Round pick swap, 2018 Brooklyn 1st Round, 2017 Milwaukee 1st Round
SAC Send - DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay

MIL Recieve - Rudy Gay, Jonas Jerebko, Marc Gasol
MIL Send - Michael Carter-Williams, John Henson, Greg Monroe, 2017 Milwaukee 1st Round

MEM Recieve - Greg Monroe
MEM Send - Marc Gasol

Jerebko and Henson are only involved for salary reasons as this trade was checked on the espn trade machine.

BOS

PG Isaiah Thomas/ Terry Rozier/ Demetrius Jackson
SG Avery Bradley/ Marcus Smart/ RJ Hunter
SF Jae Crowder/ Gerald Green/ Abdel Nader
PF Al Horford/ / Jordan Mickey/ Ben Bentil
C Demarcus Cousins/ John Henson/ Tyler Zeller

Players unnacounted for/ no space on roster - John Holland

This leaves room for Abdel Nader and Ben Bentil to earn roster spots. If they bust the Celtics have Yabusele and Zizic from overseas they can bring in next year. For more flexibilty they could shift Horford to C when Cousins is off and shift Jae to the 3 allowing pretty much any bench player to step in. Terry Rozier had an excellent summer league and he should be able to step up to the role of backup point, if not Demetrius was a projected 1st round pick and is well accomplished. Marcus Smart will take over Evan Turner's role as sixth man and play both guard positions and even maybe a little small forward as he is a great defender. Two Big Men who are all star level will do wonders for the C's and they can both shoot the three ball which will help the celtics contend with small ball teams and adjust to the pace. This helps the celtics into Championship contention but they do give up a lot - maybe they should hold on to next year's pick swap.

SAC

PG Darren Collison/ Michael Carter-Williams/ Ty Lawson
SG Arron Afflalo/ Ben McLemore/ James Young
SF Jaylen Brown/ Matt Barnes/ Malachi Richardson
PF Amir Johnson/ Kelly Olynyk/ Omri Casspi
C Willie Cauley-Stein/ Georgios Papagiannis/ Skal Labissiere

Players unnacounted for/ no space on roster - Garrett Temple, Anthony Tolliver, Kosta Koufos, Jordan Farmar, Lamar Patterson

This trade sets the Kings up for the future by getting rid of two stars on expiring deals who had voiced their opinions to leave. In return they get a ton of assets and young players. Rudy Gay leaving makes way for Jaylen Brown to start, and Cousins's departure is perfect for all their young big men. James Young could find some minutes in a different environment. But ultimately they will finally have a direction that goes upwards.

MIL

PG Giannis Antetokounpo/ Matthew Dellavadova/ Malcolm Brogdon
SG Khris Middleton/ Rashad Vaughn/ Jason Terry
SF Rudy Gay/ Steve Novak/ Michael Beasley
PF Jabari Parker/ Jonas Jerebko/ Mirza Teletovic
C Marc Gasol/ Miles Plumlee/ Thon Maker

Players unnacounted for/ no space on roster - Jabari Brown

This is a good trade for Milwaukee as they look to enter playoff contention. I know that Khris Middleton is injured but when he comes back they will be unstoppable. With Giannis moving to pg they get their true sf in Gay. Think about this
Giannis 6'11
Khris 6'8
Rudy 6'8
Jabari 6'8
Marc 7'1
most teams have at least 2 starters less than 6'5.
Flipping Monroe for Gasol is a great move. They get great rim protection and defense as well as an underrated player who could reach height he did a few seasons ago. Monroe was never a good fit in Milwaukee. Suddenly their roster goes from in shambles to solid in every position and very flexible especially with Giannis.

Memphis Grizzlies

PG Mike Conley/ Wade Baldwin IV/ Andrew Harrison
SG Tony Allen/ Troy Daniels/ Jordan Adams
SF Chandler Parsons/ Vince Carter/ James Ennis
PF Zach Randolph/ JaMychal Green/ Jarell Martin
C Greg Monroe/ Brandan Wright/ Deyonta Davis

This is a move to sustain the productivity of the Grizzlies for longer. Gasol was aging and had injury problems last year so they switch him for Monroe who has had a down spell with the Bucks but still has the potential and could potentially do wonders on the Grizzlies.

Grades

Celtics - A
Kings - A+
Milwaukee - A
Memphis - B+

Any changes that should be made to this trade? I think this is a win-win as the Celtics get a top-10 player, the Kings get assets instead of nothing at the end of the season, the Bucks get two veterans who have been at all-star level and if they gell on the Bucks they could reach that level again and the Grizzlies get proven talent with lots of room to grow.

buller

1.) 01 Oct 2016 04:30:47
Memphis F- how is this a good trade for Memphis? Gasoline is way better than Monroe!

2.) 01 Oct 2016 04:59:07
I personally took about an hour and a half to sit back in meditation and carefully consider my options. After much deliberation and with not merely a small amount of soul searching, I decided not to read any of that.
You took up half the page dawg. Can a brotha' get cliff notes?

3.) 01 Oct 2016 05:26:49
Horrible, absolutely horrible for the Grizzles. Gasol is still levels above Monroe who the Bucks really want to get rid of.

4.) 01 Oct 2016 17:04:13
Horrible trade for Boston and Memphis

M Gasol is still a great center.

Boston gives up J Brown and two top picks and some good roll players for Cousins. And non of those players is a pointguard.

5.) 05 Oct 2016 22:21:57
Memphis get reemed I'd trade Randolph straight for Monroe.

26 Jul 2016 11:12:29
Sac sends Cousins to Min
Min sends Dieng, Rubio, Shabazz, Payne, Jones to Phi
Phi sends Staukus, Okafor to Sac
NBA Trade machine approved.
Sac don't let cousins walk for free by getting solid young players
Philadelphia looks to climb into the mid tier by getting a solid bunch of players
Minnesota improves their bid for a playoff run.

buller

1.) 26 Jul 2016 13:06:54
Nba trade machine approved but Kings don't. What a terrible trade.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 14:45:03
This essentially values okafor over cousins. No chance.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 15:30:47
Don't know how Philly gets so much in this deal, they don't give up nearly enough.

And Sac gets the short end of the stick.

Also the move doesn't make much sense for the Wolves, decimates their bench (already a weak point) for a player who is a headcase and has shown he can't lead a team.

bro you obviously don't seem to understand how the NBA works. Why would you give Crowder up for free, you might as well trade him somewhere else for anything, at least a draft pick. And you want them to sign rudy gay and crowder bruh gay ain't signing with crowder there too.

Why are there two Tatums? Demetrius Jackson will be the third PG and I doubt Ojeleye will be on the main roster this year. Is there any point in including Tony Allen in this deal? Maybe if he's on the vet minimum.

Hell no that ain't an awesome trade for the Knicks. Burks has played a combined 100 games over the last 3 seasons and averaged 6.7ppg last season. Derrick Favors played 50 games last season and averaged 9.5ppg and 6.1reb. Melo for two injury prone, possibly washed up players? Hell no dumbass.
