Cavs trade Irving, Shumpert, Frye
Cavs get Anthony, Middleton, 1st round pick Bucks 2018

Bucks trade Middleton, Henson, Hawes, 1st round pick 2018, 1st round pick 2020
Bucks get Irving, Frye

Knicks trade Anthony
Knicks get Henson, Shumpert, Hawes, 1st round pick 2020

Works on trade machine!

Cavs: 15 Player
- still top contender in eastern conference, Middleton and Anthony will improve roster immediately + Rose could be a very solid replacement for Irving
- also add 2018 1st round pick

Bucks: 15 Player
- very talented starting 5 (Irving-Giannis duo + Parker, Maker & fresh ROY Brogdon), which can become a true contender within 1-2 seasons i weak eastern conference
- keep Beasley and Terry

Knicks: 15 Player
- Hawes will be gone in 2018, Henson and Shumpert bring needed depth and also some value alongside the 2020 1st round pick

1.) 31 Jul 2017 23:44:42
Knicks wouldn't do a cavs deal unless they got Irving. Especially for hawes. And shumpert. Both of which they don't want or need. And I'm not sold on Henson being worth taking those two one.

Wolves trade Wiggins, Dieng, Jones, Aldrich
Wolves get Irving, Noah

Cavs trade Irving, Frye, Shumpert
Cavs get Anthony, O'Quinn, Jones, 1st round pick Knicks 2018

Knicks trade Anthony, Noah, O'Quinn, 1st round pick
Knicks get Wiggins, Dieng, Frye, Aldrich

- build own big 3 with Irving, Butler and Towns, add another vet in Noah

- Cavs will still reach at least EC Finals
- get immediat help with, 2018 1st round pick and

- build around Porzingis, Wiggins, Ntilikina, Hernangomez and Hardaway

1.) 25 Jul 2017 17:51:05
Wiggins alone is way to much for Melo.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 18:13:37
Knicks getting way too much. If I'm Cavs I'd prefer just dealing with Twolves and getting Wiggins myself. If Cavs still really want Melo I'd try and make it work by giving up Love.

3.) 25 Jul 2017 18:44:00
Cavs would be fools to take Melo over Wiggins.

4.) 26 Jul 2017 00:49:54
Ridiculous return for Knicks. You have to attach a #1 to get rid of noahs deal. So melo for wiggins? c'mon now.

06 Jul 2017 12:36:36

- keep Pasecniks, Bolden and Lessort oversea to give them playing time to develop
- sign Ilyasova 2y 25m

14 player
- bring Ilyasova back who was a good veteran fit in Philly
- let Covington start at SG to give starting 5 better defense, but play him also his natural position SF
- bring Holmes as 3rd option on either PF and C

1.) 06 Jul 2017 13:07:47
All reasonable.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 13:46:40
I think you forgot about Amir Johnson.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 14:18:19
AJ620 is right, they don't need to really sign anyone else. They should save their money they have signed Amir Johnson who will be their primary backup 4. I know 76ers fans don't want to hear this but I think it is worth them being as one more year because the top prospect in this upcoming draft is an amazing SG, which is the only real hole in their lineup right now. If they are able to get a decent pick they could look to package it with a future pick or someone like Okafor who is not in the 76ers future plans and then look to draft someone like Boldon to replace him with one of their later first round picks. But the 76ers are just missing that one more piece and they will the process will finally be compleated.

4.) 06 Jul 2017 17:03:32
Ilyasova wouldn't be a bad pickup since shooting especially from the 4 position is always dangerous and 76ers can use spacing. If I was 76ers I'd be trying to deal with the Celtics to get Bradley or maybe even Crowder. Give up Covington/ Holmes and a future 1st or something could do it as both are cheap options that could still be contributors in Celtics rotation.

06 Jul 2017 11:00:17
Celitcs trade Olynyk(s&t), Crowder, Smart, Celtics 1st round pick 2018
Grizzlies trade Gasol, Allen (s&t)

- resign Jerebko
- sign 3rd PG (veteran)

- one of the best starting 5's + young very talented Tatum, Brown, Rozier and Zizic in progess
- it is a high offer for 32y old Gasol, but Olynyk is already gone and Smart can not be resigned in 2018 + Gasol would be best mentor available for future Celtics Center Zizic

1.) 06 Jul 2017 11:28:58
Why are there two Tatums? Demetrius Jackson will be the third PG and I doubt Ojeleye will be on the main roster this year. Is there any point in including Tony Allen in this deal? Maybe if he's on the vet minimum.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 11:49:03
I never heard that memphis want to trade gasol. Don't think they accept the offer. Only if a high pick is included.

3.) 06 Jul 2017 12:34:42
Not sure that is enough to convince Memphis to part with Gasol. Even after this trade their future isn't bright so they might as well stick it out with Gasol and Conley unless they get a more appealing offer.

4.) 06 Jul 2017 14:36:13
Tatum can play multi positions.

PS. Media putting their twist on what could transpire. Rotoworld put out yesterday Mem may be "willing to move Gasol".

06 Jul 2017 10:26:21
Raptors trade Carroll, protected 1st round pick
Nuggets trade Lyles, Arthur

- cap relief to sign wign, so you get 3 player = more depth
- with cap relief sign needed wing who can score with S.Muhammad to MLE (1y)
- add another canadian native with Lyles
-> still top4 contender in the east + develop Caboclo, Poeltl and Anunoby for 2018-19 season to still have a even higher ceiling

- Nuggets lose talented PF Lyles, but PF is still overcrowded with talent so Nuggets can afford it
- add another first rounder + Carroll who can be a productive defensive bench player and asset if it comes to a trade

1.) 06 Jul 2017 12:15:48
Send Faried.

2.) 06 Jul 2017 12:45:43
Carroll isn't same player even defensively after his injury and his role reflects this as it declined as season went on (only 11 mins per game against Cavs) . With two years and over 30 mill left on his contract I think he is a negative asset and the first would have to be included just to move him. If Raptors wanted Lyles (a solid young stretch 4) and Arthur another stretch 4 type that can also play some defense (great replacement for Patterson) they'd have to give up more.

Nuggets definitely are a little crowded at pf and should make some moves to clear that up. They could also really use an upgrade at point guard since I think Murray will struggle there long term with his lack of athleticism and Mudiay is too raw. They need to make another move to ensure they make playoffs in a deep western conference.

Who will make the playoffs in the west?

#1Warriors (/)
#2Spurs (/)
#3Rockets (/) (added CP3)
#4Thunder (+2) (added PG13)
#5Wolves (+8) (added Butler, Teague, Crawford, Gibson)
#6Grizzlies (+1)
#7Pelicans (+3) (training camp)
#8Clippers (-4) (new face/team Teodosic, Gallinari, Beverley but very experienced)
#9Nuggets (/) (due to the west)
#10Blazers (-2) (due to the west)
#11Jazz (-6) (need at least 1 season to recover, but still playoff contender)

1.) 10 Jul 2017 14:01:55
I think the race will be legitimately 11 deep (maybe even 12 if DSJ on the Mavs can continue looking half as good as he looks in summer league since with Matthews, Barnes, Dirk and Noel they don't have a bad starting lineup) .

Personally I'd have Nuggets making it ahead of Grizzlies, Pelicans and maybe Clippers. They could really cement their place in the playoffs if they upgraded at point guard (I think they should roll the dice on Bledsoe who I think should be relatively cheap to get considering recent trades, his injury history and the direction Suns are going in) . The Nuggets depth should help them a lot over the course of the season.

If I had to bet I'd say Grizzlies don't make it (and certainly not as 6th seed) as they are an older team that has already lost Randolph, Carter and could potentially lose Tony Allen and Green.

I think Clippers will struggle mightily without Paul who made Jordan and Griffin's life a lot easier. Beverley although a great defender and shooter isn't a playmaking pg (I don't know much about Tedosic) .

Pelicans will be interesting to watch since Davis and Cousins duo can be unstoppable or a complete train wreck. Even so I'm not convinced the supporting cast (Holiday included) is enough to get them by especially over the grind of the 82 game season.

Many expected Portland to be much better last season. Maybe they rebound this year with Nurkic adding a new wrinkle to their team.

Jazz should have a good team and they have guys on their team who can probably step up a bit in Hayward's absence but with no major signings to try and replace his scoring I think they'll struggle to put the ball in the hoop especially with little floor spacing having Rubio, Favors and Gobert on the floor potentially starting together. Don't like their odds to make playoffs.

Spurs trade Aldridge, Green, 2nd round pick
Spurs get Wade, Okafor

Bulls trade Wade
Bulls get Aldridge, 2nd round pick Spurs

76ers trade Okafor
76ers get Green

- Murray will be Spurs long-term PG solution so don't go for older Lowry, Hill, Teague...
-> instead resign veteran backcourt to secure veteran leadership (Ginobili, Mills)

- resign Gasol(1+1y), Mills(4y), Simmons(4y), Dedmon(4y), Lee(1y) & Ginobili(1y)

- Okafor will get a boost in SA under coach Popovich and the winning culture of the franchise and its veterans (Leonard, Parker, Gasol, Ginobili, Wade...)
- in 2018 Wade, Parker & Ginobili (+ Gasol maybe) will be FA (Aldridge and Green would be under contract until 2019) = gain much flexibility ~35m cap space more
-> Add major FA at frontcourt (primary: PF)

- get a veteran, former All-Star PF/C Aldridge to teach Markkanen, Portis at least until 2019
- add 2nd round pick

- add veteran shooter and good locker room guy in Green
-> release Henderson

1.) 29 Jun 2017 18:16:23
spurs giving too much. Take Green out of the deal.

2.) 30 Jun 2017 02:43:09
No way Spurs trade FOR an aged veteran with not much left and a last place team's reject.

29 Jun 2017 09:05:39

- young, talented roster but very thin on SF position

-> give offer to:
1. O.Porter Jr (max offer)
2. Iggy (max offer)
3. J.Johnson (10+m)
4. Tucker (10+m)
5. Ingles (10+m)
6. Snell (10+m)

- resign Lawson

1.) 29 Jun 2017 10:20:41
None of those guys are long-term options at sf (Snell is only one kind of young) and for the next few years Kings will be so bad that it won't matter who they have there. Even if they gave Iggy the max I think he'd take substantially less to at least stay with a contender but probably isn't leaving Warriors.

26 Jun 2017 23:40:01
Pelicans Off-Season

Trade 1:
Pelicans trade Asik, 1st round pick (top 10 protected)
Bulls trade Wade
(Bulls will have plenty of cap space next few years)

Trade 2:
Pelicans trade S.Hill, 2nd round pick
Kings trade Gay (s&t 3y 50m)

- resign Holiday, Cunningham, Motiejunas
- pick option on Crawford

roster: 13 Player

1.) 27 Jun 2017 01:10:16
The money doesn't look like it works and Wade doesn't seem like a good fit. They need shooters.

2.) 27 Jun 2017 01:57:37
Wade and Gay wouldn't be my first, second or third options to complete that roster but it is talent in the door for Pelicans which they could really use. Floor spacing will be huge for them so I'd be trying to add as many shooters as possible. Spurs are allegedly shopping Danny Green so he'd be high on my desired list (3rd team would have to be involved to absorb salary since Spurs won't want much coming back) . If I were Pelicans I'd be trying to add via S&T guys like Reddick, CJ Miles (I think he'll opt out), Patty Mills, Arron Afflalo (if he opts out, i think he has team option) . I'd also try to scoop Nick Young off Lakers.

I also wouldn't rule out a sign and trade of Jrue Holiday for more depth from a team like Nuggets who are in need of a good starting point guard. If could get something like Chandler and Harris that would be a huge win in my opinion.

26 Jun 2017 19:57:19
Lowry to Wolves via s&t

-> and if Lowry leaves, Raptors could/should start rebuilding, so engage a s&t deal including DeRozan for Wiggins

Wolves trade Wiggins, Rubio, Aldrich, Hill, 1st round pick 2018
Raptors trade DeRozan, Lowry (s&t)
(Wiggins for DeRozan and Rubio, Aldrich 1st for Lowry)

Raptors rebuild around Wiggins(22), Powell(24), Ploetl(21), Joseph(25), Caboclo(21), Anunoby (19)
- let Tucker and Ibaka walk, release Hill (team option)
- resign Patterson
- trade Carroll and JV for future assets

- sign vet FA (rest of cap, MLE, vet min)
- resign Rush, Casspi

1.) 27 Jun 2017 02:04:36
If I'm Twolves I much rather just sign Lowry outright, keep Wiggins and deal Rubio in a separate deal for some depth help.
