Kings need a couple of unprotected first round picks.

2.) 23 Feb 2019 04:22:54
Buddy hield and Damien lillard would not agree.

According to Spotrac. com, Wizards only have $2.5 mil left on that exception that expires March 11th. So salaries aren't close.

Also, Thunder cannot trade their 2019 1st rounder until draft day in June.

Additionally, Patterson cannot be traded until he opts in/ July because of his player option for next season.

Sooooooo. Zero chance of happening.

2.) 21 Feb 2019 02:37:05
I 100% agree with Fredman because that's exactly what I said. OKC picks for Wizards '19 1st. Isn't every trade a summertime trade on here right now? The John Wall injury money is for next season because the deadline has passed. He will miss enough games for the full injury relief. Who is posting trades for this season right now?

3.) 21 Feb 2019 03:42:21
Include Dennis.

4.) 21 Feb 2019 08:02:40
Jorga made me do a little homework.

To qualify for a disabled player exception next season, the injured player is "substantially more likely than not to be unable to play" through June 15, 2020. 17 months is a long time for a doctor to say that a player is unable to play basketball to grant this exception.

Additionally, only one replacement player can be signed or traded for using this exception (and they must be on expiring contracts) .

Why doesn't OKC just trade these two + pick to ATL, CLE, PHX or CHI when the new season starts? Much easier to do.

5.) 21 Feb 2019 18:19:50
ESPN, the athletic, bleacher report have all given the 18.5-18.6 relief estimated dollar amount.

Plus, all said because an Achilles injury (substantially unlikely to play) the exception will be available right away because it is at least a year. That has Wall starting court work maybe late February-March 2020. Wiz can spend the money, allocate relief later. I'd accept your wager on the Wiz making the playoffs 2020.

You got me on 2 players but Wizards are allowed to if Mahinmi agrees to restructure his final season under that relief waiver, giving the wizards Mahinmi's cap dollars.

Wizards absorbing players for a 1st into their cap is more difficult than for ATL, CLE, PHX, CHI? Why?

All I wanted to know was why you thought it was an illegal trade, and not for after July 1,2019? Did I write something improperly that indicates I'm ignorant of what a trade deadline is? But I got all this, please don't reply, I think I have you figured.

1.) 19 Feb 2019 17:05:55
Why for Detroit?

2.) 19 Feb 2019 17:20:11
Why not?

3.) 19 Feb 2019 20:54:24
That first is going the wrong way. Drummond has value, yet you're giving away him and a first to unload Jackson?

4.) 19 Feb 2019 21:53:15
That first is going in the wrong direction indeed.

Maybe if Washington gives their 2019 unprotected pick.

5.) 19 Feb 2019 22:35:04
Drummond/ jackson are overpaid. Obviously this allows Detroit to reposition after their attempt at the playoffs. Capella is better than Drummond, just signed a contract for 10 less a season. Whiteside is better than Drummond and gets ridiculed all the time. B. Lopez is better than Drummond.

6.) 20 Feb 2019 00:50:23
Yeah and Walls contract is overpaid as well for more years and won’t play next year at all. Mahinmi is always on the books for next year at 15mil and a backup. At least Drummond and Jackson start and will be available to play.

7.) 20 Feb 2019 04:28:31
Wall's contract? Wall's injury exception, not John Wall the player. It's half his salary for next season, good for a year, not tax free. Wall is not in the trade.

I don't see Phoenix doing it.

2.) 18 Feb 2019 22:43:55
Not even Starver would approve of that one.

3.) 19 Feb 2019 01:10:50
Even Starver would not accept that.

Portland is the best rebounding team in the NBA, good thing they bought Kanter off the waiver wire

jorgawood

13 Feb 2019 22:12:32
Blazers are terrible rebounders, Kanter was a good waiver addition for them.

If Luke Walton gets fired now, or in the off season, James will never shake his Coachkilla surname. He will have earned it.

jorgawood

1.) 13 Feb 2019 23:30:16
Portland is #3 in the NBA in rebounding, #7 in offensive rebounding. It's a good addition, but how are they terrible rebounders?

2.) 14 Feb 2019 01:01:13
Damn, BMiller, did you have to do him like that?

3.) 14 Feb 2019 08:03:09
How did I get did? They lost to OKC because they didn't rebound. Bmiller66 is talking about something I wasn't referencing in anyway. Sorry for the confusion.

4.) 14 Feb 2019 17:54:47
I'm confused. You said "they're a terrible rebounding team" which is objectively wrong. One game doesn't change a season. Also, Portland outrebounded OKC in that game, and got more offensive rebounds. Clutch time rebounds weren't good, but Nurkic was on the bench, so it's not about team rebounding, it was about foul trouble.

5.) 14 Feb 2019 21:40:13
Anyone for a stsnding 8 count?

6.) 15 Feb 2019 02:03:15
They picked up enes Kanter for what purpose? 3-point shooting, and perimeter defense?

7.) 15 Feb 2019 03:50:24
An interior big to backup Nurkic which they did not have previously.

8.) 15 Feb 2019 05:41:06
I wasn't talking analytics, Bmiller69 is right about what he is talking about. The blazers got kanter for rebounding. M. Leonard does everything else better than kanter except 2ft scoring and Rebounding. Blazers were demoralized on the offensive glass before the 20 point blowout, when OKC emptied the benches with more than 4 minutes remaining. Take exception with terrible rebounders but against OKC it mattered and I thought kanter made sense. I guess that's a reason to try to make fun of somebody?

NYK: Rondo, 2nd

1.) Bad trade for OKC. Only Lakers win in this

2.) 14 Apr 2018 13:18:22
I think the Spurs benefit the most, because they shed disgruntled Kawhi Leonard, and his uncle.

3.) 14 Apr 2018 16:47:35
I think the Patriots benefit the most by giving Tom Brady another option. Seahawks may hesitate to do it.

The nets have a shot at Durant and Leonard added to their young group. Russell, Levert, Dinwiddie, Allen, Kurucs, Harris, Musa. Also, Beal has cred with the fans, and keeps seat bottoms warm for a tough road ahead. He couldn't hurt season ticket sales either.
