Mirotic, and 2018 2nd back, for Asik, Allen, Nelson, and 2018 1st 1-5 DP is a fair deal. Better than the one first reported a couple days ago. CHI gave in. Looks like NOP has a strong sense they are picking up Monroe if they were willing to trade the only C on their roster. Pels are back in the playoff hunt with this deal.

1.) 01 Feb 2018 21:57:49
I do think it's a decent deal for the Pels, as I do think this will get them into the playoffs. A pick between 15-18 while ditching Asik's salary is a win for both.

Much more sensible a deal than the Griffin one.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 22:38:22
Both of these moves were designed specifically so they can re=sign Cousins. That is THE priority for next season.

3.) 01 Feb 2018 23:20:38
Boogie could be, but no word on the severity of the Achilles "event". This move indicates their intention on wanting him back though. It also suggests Monroe is coming to NOP.

BOS: Evans

MEM: Smart

1.) 31 Jan 2018 21:40:46
Boston should not trade any rotation player unless for an all star.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 00:30:47
Nba, in what world does a rotation player get you an all star?

3.) 01 Feb 2018 04:31:00
Celtics would probably rather do Nader and their own 2019 first rounder.

4.) 01 Feb 2018 05:37:58
Obviously they'd include rotation players and picks, not just a straight up rotation player for all star.

5.) 01 Feb 2018 05:39:50
I'm sure the Celtics would! CLE in my opinion have the late 1st, and the fodder to land him. But they don't need him. Even though he is an improvement over Smith, and Rose. Says a lot about CLE future plans. MEM will just keep him probably if they don't get asking price. Same for CHI, and Mirotic.

LAC: Ed Davis, McCollum, 2nd

POR: Jordan, Lou, '18 1st

1.) 30 Jan 2018 19:12:02
Nurkic would probably have to be involved thinking about it. POR taking back Harrell, and Evans maybe. Or something LAC isn't planning on keeping. They're both nipping at the luxury tax line.

27 Jan 2018 09:39:53
NOP : Noah, Willy, 2nd

NY: Asik, Ajinca,

1.) 27 Jan 2018 13:43:34
Why? The only useful asset in the whole group is Willy, the rest is just shifting garbage.

27 Jan 2018 05:32:31
NOP: Noah, Ntilikina, Willy, Beasley

NY: Ajinca, Hill, Asik

Maybe? Resurrect Noah? Won't be as hard to trade in a year when Cousins is ready.

1.) 27 Jan 2018 05:36:16
boogie ain't coming back.

2.) 27 Jan 2018 05:51:08
Donada, think NOP won't re-sign him? Get an injury exemption until he's ready.

3.) 27 Jan 2018 08:41:20
Pass from NY. They take 2 bad contracts and also lose Ntilikina. And also if you trading Noah to Pels along with Willy, Willy is clearly ahead of Noah so there isn't much of a resurrection.

Spots 4-8 in the west are up for grabs between it looks like between 6 teams I have POR, LAC, and NOP fighting for the final spot.

1.) 14 Feb 2018 14:09:30
I think the top 5 teams are basically locked in barring major injury. Maybe, without an injury OKC or Minnesota could fall to 6th, but they'll all be firmly in the playoffs. With Cousins hurt and the Clipper trades, I think the Nuggets and and Portland are clearly in. They're both really talented teams. That 8th spot should be interesting, but imo with how the Jazz have been playing, they probably have the best shot at taking it.

2.) 14 Feb 2018 20:33:04
I have POR losing 14 of their remaining games by seasons end. Barring injury. Conservatively. Giving them wins against losing, and .500 teams. Their strength of schedule has been in their favor so far. Tougher matchups in the final 20-25 games of their season.

08 Feb 2018 19:58:02
POR? Milovan Rakovic? Over the hill Serbian player drafted in '06. Is POR the worst front office in the league? got to be. Vonleh would have just expired, and cost nothing. POR can now count themselves in with UTA, and DEN for negative trade grades.

1.) 08 Feb 2018 21:37:19
They did it to get under the tax limit. They just saved themselves a good chunk of money.

2.) 08 Feb 2018 22:15:02
They were already just barely under I thought.

3.) 08 Feb 2018 22:39:58
POR was 3 mil over tax threshold. Deal saves them money. Rakovic will never see a POR uniform.

4.) 09 Feb 2018 14:25:36
Ok jorga? You clearly don’t understand basketball if you are bashing the trailblazers trade. Clearly he won’t see the floor. Everyone knew that. Except apparently you. And now you have to point it out like you are saying something magical. Calm down.

5.) 09 Feb 2018 17:24:29
Feel free to never address my posts personally Hamburger. You showed me. I was responding to Larry Legend that his post, and point were correct, and I was incorrect. I wouldn't expect chivalry to be something you are familiar with. Always the victim never the bad guy. You, and USA.

08 Feb 2018 19:50:16
NY picking up Mudiay, and DEN trading a 2nd to DAL to do it is robbery. Utah, and DEN get negative grades for their moves.

07 Feb 2018 22:28:41
Hornacek going to play nicey nice with Noah now? Pulling him out of a game that was a lost cause was a dumb move for a guy you can't trade, or waive just yet. Created friction for no reason. Especially now that we see Willy was dealt. Pissing contest, I'm the boss B.S. Hornacek is gone after the season. Should have canned him with Jackson, but it did save money paying a guy for not working.

07 Feb 2018 04:35:39
Porzingis injury is a tough break. NY was having a pretty good season, and things were looking up. Good thing Willy hasn't been dealt yet. And Hardaway injured too. Damn.

Less years translates to more money. Not following the Hood valuation. It's hard to pull a good player in the late 1st, and 2nd round, so Ferguson for Korver, and a late 2nd is unlikely. Belinelli is a better offensive player than Smith, bigger, and cheaper. He's expiring too, and salaries don't match.

Clips would want Jordan and salary more than Hill. They have Beverly. Thompson would add to the bad deals in CHA, so a pick, and a bad contract for Walker doesn't add up. Thompson makes 5 mil more is this even possible?

You make good points Cheeseburger except for Hood. He is averaging 17 points a game, and is better defensively than Mcollum. McCollum makes 26+, so I don't think 22 is absurd, but 18-22 mil is an underpay by comparison. POR could be foolish also I guess. Hood would be getting market pay though.

I like Jackson, Hill, Diallo. Hill will come back, and we'll see what he does. Moore can go. Prince is who I'd want.
