Likely Mirotic deals:

1. B.Lopez-L.A. Unites Bros. Lopez. Robin has neg. Value so both would be jettisoned in summer.

2. Bazemore, Ilyasova-Atl. Rumors say Atl wants Bazemore off the books. Only Next season left on his deal. Pretty short. Ilya expires.

What other deals get CHC salary, assets, and or expiring deals? R.Lopez can't be packaged because he devalues Miro too much. It's a pretty tough task, I'm interested what CHC decides.

1.) 08 Jan 2018 04:29:21
Robin definitely doesn’t have negative value. 13 and 5 with solid defense at the center position is worth 13 million a year.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 05:44:17
You may be right, but I bet the Bulls waive him come summer, or buy him out for 6-7 mil. I haven't seen the D this season, and I noticed he can't can a jumper on the pick n roll. He's a big body, but not a rim protector. Bulls want him gone, and I have a hard time seeing a team wanting to pick him up at 12 mil per without incentive. He's essentially Asik. Most on here call Asik's deal which is nearly identical to Lopez a negative value. Asik can protect the rim, but is slow, and can't shoot. I am not all knowing, but I have watched Lopez play really bad in a couple matchups this year. I don't catch a lot of Bulls games, but the few I have he looks like an expense more than an asset.

CHA: Dedmon, Bazemore

ATL: Batum, Bacon

1.) 07 Jan 2018 16:57:05
I like this for Charlotte, but why would atlanta do this trade?

Batum is 29, that's to old for a rebuilding team.

HOU:M.Leonard, N.Vonleh

POR: Mirotic

CHC: R.Anderson, POR 2nd, Hou 2nd

M.Leonard may need work, but he runs really well, shooting 53% from 3 in 13 games. Anderson can help Bulls with salary minimum next couple years, and get Picks. HOU saves cash, if Leonard will be useful ever it may be in HOU high pace offense. Plays pretty good D. This season anyway. POR gets Mirotic. 3rd scoring option. Badly needed.

1.) 07 Jan 2018 16:59:11
I like this for the Bulls and Portland.

But Houston need the capspace, so another team should be involved taking on Leonard's contract.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 18:18:13
How is this good for Chicago? Older guy, bigger contract, only 2nds attached. Bulls will get better for Miro, or not move him at all.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 20:20:09
Tri-O, It isn't great for CHC. I think Miro is worth more too. Anderson doesn't have short term deal either. Only reason I think there is a slight chance of accepting two seconds, and Anderson, is CHC has lost games on purpose this season. I have seen it. Mirotic is going to be gone no matter what, and what is the sense in getting zero for him if you don't want to make the playoffs, or him on your team? Lastly, CHC needs to hit salary min.

To avoid paying cash, not to themselves, and their own benefit. There is a deal out there that will fill CHC needs. and this is not likely it. Stirring the proverbial pot so to speak. Any ideas? I agree with you other than keeping Miro. Just not smart to get nothing for something. Ask POR fans about that. L. Aldridge comes to mind.

07 Jan 2018 05:55:10
ATL: Clarkson, Randle

LAL: Ilyasova, Belinelli, Delaney, 1st-Hou

Late round 1st from Houston doesn't seem out of question. Chances Kuzma anomaly occurs again are unlikely. What's ATL going to do with 3 1sts?

1.) 07 Jan 2018 06:48:08
Basically same trade I posted except you added a pick.

07 Jan 2018 05:34:34
CHA: R.Lopez, Mirotic

CHC: Williams, MKG, Zeller, 2nd

Sometimes a little controversy creates interest. Rumors, reports, articles, league sources, team sources, someone close to the situation, are all 50/50 shots at real truth, and legitimate stories. The sports media has less of a conscience on these matters than the big time MSM. ( and they are horribly bad ).

There is some evidence, but what we as internet investigators discover is limited. The little signings, and releases is what I'd expect out of most teams beyond Mirotic. That was an unfortunate incident that couldn't be smoothed over. PG13, and his outward desire to go home is an indicator, but even then what do we know? All these trades with big names can, and some will go down when playoffs have concluded.

The Irving situation was handled so badly to have it go down after the new season began, is another indicator, but what do we know? CAVS made a bad decision to not do it around the draft. We know they knew, and did nothing. Why? I can't tell you, because I don't know, but there are reasons beyond contracts the GM left, and the CAVS made zero moves to improve their team to be competitive with GS. Or at least an attempt. Teams who behave like this are poorly managed, or have restrictions financially, and other factors to not improve.

1.) 14 Jan 2018 15:39:45
Irving asked out after the draft when he heard about the Cavs trying to trade him and the Cavs have added Korver, Wade, Green, Crowder, and Rose in the past year and they have a lottery pick in their back pocket. The Warriors added Durant. It's almost impossible for any team to match that move. As for the GM change, Gilbert didn't want to pay him market price and that's why he left.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 11:47:46
Durants move to warriors was a killer to the Cavs now it’s a arms race but you ain’t going to match that move with what’s lefted.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 17:08:10
Have a had 2 summers, a season, and a half, and nearly 2 trade deadlines's to match the Durant signing. CAVS fans posting on here are purposefully ignoring what is going on. The NBA GM's job is to plan for the future. LeBron is 33 if they were planning on Lebron being around they would have traded the picks they received and other players for another top caliber player. They didn't, and have had plenty of time to do so. What's that indicate?

12 Jan 2018 20:23:31
Read an article about Mrs. James, LeBron's wife today. Said she wants to live in LA full-time. I don't know if any of you Men out there are married, but wives have substantial influence. I truthfully believe Lebron is going to be a Laker, and that team will be unrecognizable compared to the Lakers you see now. This season is all about maturing Ingram, Ball, Kuzma. Nothing else matters. Except, winning enough to reduce odds BOS gets that 2-5 pick. CAVS are in rebuild mode if this is true. I'd expect a metamorphosis in the off season as a CAVS fan.

1.) 12 Jan 2018 23:20:12
Again, he may leave, but this always reeked of TMZ / tabloid news at best.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 01:31:25
Catch the Fizdale rumor about replacing Walton? Who was an assistant in Miami with Wade, James, Bosh. When do coincidences, start being evidence? It's still circumstantial, which is a nice way of saying bullsh*t. I honestly think James is going to L. A. If CAVS didn't, and don't trade their 1st's for help, that is a major sign. It's like flushing an entire season down the drain when you have a small window with a 33 year old super-star. You don't have later, you have 2-3 more years.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 04:19:28
Coincidences are never evidence. Fizdale isn't the Lakers coach and obviously if they're making a coaching change, they would have Lebron in mind because they're chasing him. The media is running with the story that gets them the most views.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 05:18:38
Speaking as someone who has been through a jury trial, (nothing serious) I wish you were a jurist rkenne. That being said, I have never seen so much circumstantial evidence piling on to support an idea/ opinion. It's like Boogie, he could leave, the fact that he hasn't signed an extension is a major contributing factor. It still doesn't mean he will. There isn't as much info on Boogie because he isn't as publicly visual. Whether its LA, or CAVS, both teams have serious roster changes to make to be competitive at the highest level. James would want that I assume. There's a couple tricks at the end of the season to sign guys, or trade under the cap, then re-sign guys to go over. That's the play LA, and CAVS would have to do to compete against GS. They are spending 140 mil there about. got to get up around there most likely to have a chance. With talent. Not just overpaid guys. HOU is a good spender, and they are competitive. I don't really think BOS, or any East team has a real chance at this point against the west. GS appears to be able to win when they want.

POR v.s. OKC - POR won without Lillard. POR has been winning without Lillard in the lineup and against teams they are expected to lose to. Is POR more likely to make a deal involving Napier, McCollum, or Lillard? Napier has looked a lot sharper on D than Lillard from what I saw last night. Is OKC more likely to consider getting something for George before deadline now, after losing against a Lillard-less POR? Which team did last nights game affect more in the short term?

10 Jan 2018 09:58:40
Wow, lots of garbage trades dominating this site last 24hrs. If only the trade deadline could produce as much action as there are hypotheticals on here. Will there even be 6 total teams that make moves? Or more? If more, how many? The winner wins the prize of guessing correctly! Good luck, and god speed!

1.) 10 Jan 2018 10:19:15
Yes more than 6 teams will pull the trigger.

09 Jan 2018 16:52:56
Funny enough, looks like Kerr, and Luke Walton are the only guys who know how to deal with Lavar Ball media frenzy. Ball couldn't pay for better media coverage than what the "old guard" of NBA coaches is giving him for free. This is Hilarious. VanGundy, Carlisle gave BBB free promotion. Even Dantoni, got caught up in it. "I have no comment on that situation" is how you return Lavar Ball's serve. Media 101. If it really angers them so much. Their Bosses, and the NBA enjoy ABC/ESPN money I'd bet. If "both teams played hard" was such a bad behavior deserving a fine, then calling out ESPN should have consequences. ESPN isn't likely to stop covering Ball if he keeps giving them juicy bits. ESPN is in the driver seat, not the NBA. Can withhold money for breaching media contract, if coaches aren't cooperative. Carlisle/SVG/ ( Dantoni ,whose comments were least inflammatory) are not in charge in this situation. Defending the coaches, fine, but threatening to not be subordinate to a specific media company is not a smart play. I may even buy a $50 T-shirt now! These 3 just got used. Lavar is truly a marketing genius. I'm a believer now!

Walker is not on the trading block. M. J. Stated how his name got out there. CHA was asking about players teams might be interested in, kemba's name came up. Only Stephenson expires for LA, and that doesn't fit their needs to be giving up Clarkson, and a 1st. Maybe in the summer a deal like this is possible for LA, and they have struck out in the free agent market.

Not a good deal for POR when Jordan leaves. 2 1sts is too much for a team that may lose Lillard if he's serious about leaving to go to a contender if POR front office can't get it together.

That's not enough for Kawhi. He's a high prospect lottery guy, and a star. That package would have to be on the table to trade him right now. CLE has no chance or beneficial package beyond Lebron, maybe Love for either Gasol, or Kawhi. These guys aren't available anyway. After next season, or the next after that is a different story.

Pop, Parker, Ginobli will leave around the same time. Spurs are going into a bit of a rebuild mode. Look for Aldridge in the next couple seasons headed to another Texas team, and Kawhi going elsewhere as well. Not yet though. LeBron has no intention of going to SanbAntonio to develop his production company, and Paul George if he switches teams again will be a Clipper, or Laker. Neither guy helps Lakers by agreeing to a sign and trade. Aldridge, and Heyward both didn't do that because it drains team of assets they are going to. Not helpful if you want to win.

I was talking about Denver getting the poor defensive player. Murray, Harris, Jokic are their building blocks. Mudiay would be the only one available. Realistically.
