Knicks-sixers trade

(Backbone of a trade)
Knicks get #3, okafor and saric
Sixers get #8 and porzingis.

1.) 23 May 2017 14:03:08
Okafors value isn't too high right now. There wouldn't be a need for the 8th pick to be involved in my opinion.

The local radio station in philly was suggesting the following deal/ offer:

Knicks get:
Saric, 2018 LAL 1st (unprotected), 2019 Kings (unrotected)

Phila gets:

This would obviously only be if new York were considering moving zinger, and would be willing to fully invest in a rebiuld.

As a Sixers fan I am against this, but it's interesting thinking about Simmons jackson zinger and embiid as a start to a team.

2.) 23 May 2017 16:15:06
As a sixers fan you are against that? that's laughable.

Hate or love the knicks, if Porzingis was in this draft, he's likely the first overall. Reasoning being, Fultz is likely going to be great. Likely a franchise player. You know what you are getting in Porzingis. A modern day stud big man who IS a franchise player. Just stop it. knicks say no chance to 2 future 1sts which could be top 5 or not even lottery. its not worth the risk with a known player in porzingis.

3.) 23 May 2017 16:33:32
"Willing to fully invest in a rebuild" LOL why would they trade their only good young player if they are going to rebuild? Literally would make no sense.

4.) 23 May 2017 17:25:31

Are You talking about before he was drafted porzongis or 2 years in the league porzingis?

If porzingis wasn't taken number 1 in his own draft over guys like Russell and okafor what makes you think he would go 1 in this draft?

You actually, similar to when he was drafted, would have no idea what you were getting. You know more about what you are getting from all the top guys in this dradt then we did about porzingis. What are you talking about?

5.) 23 May 2017 17:38:13

How Are the Knicks going to build around porzingis without draft picks which they don't have that many? . they cant

Is porzingis that much of a draw that another superstar would consider signing in New york to play with him? . no

The league has been trending towards needing several top level guys to have any chance at all for several years now. The Knicks have 1 currently with no light at the end of the tunnel as far as assets to be able to build with. I Think that the above scenario was with that in mind.

6.) 23 May 2017 18:20:32
Simmons orbust, the knicks have all of their future firsts, Melo might end up returning some picks, a ton of cap space, a few decent young prospects, and a few easily tradable older players. They have plenty to start a rebuild with. Porzingis is on his way to becoming one of the premier pfs in the NBA. Moving him in a rebuild makes 0 sense unless someone offers something ridiculous.

7.) 23 May 2017 18:42:52
Honestly I think Porzingis is going to be accident prone. He battled injuries late in the season with his back, thigh and other minor injuries. He needs to put on weight and gain muscle mass or this will continue.

And one never knows what Jackson might do, he sure as hell hasn't made the Knicks better since his arrival.

Porzingis ISN'T in this years draft!

But can envision Jackson doing that trade if he thinks Kristaps will be a injury liability.

8.) 23 May 2017 19:57:36
Rkenne. you're correct. I'm not sure why I thought that they didn't have next years or 2020 1st rounders.

Since they do then I agree there's no reason to move him unless he forces his way out of town.

9.) 24 May 2017 00:55:25
That's rather stupid. His value before or after his two years experience? What when okafor was a top 3. How about we value players on what we know fool. Porzingis is a top 5 young gun in the league. fultz hasn't played a minute. Idiot.

10.) 24 May 2017 04:13:23

Your original comment on porzingis being the first pick in this year's draft is like me saying that Paul George would be the first pick in this years draft at his current valuation. Thanks for telling me something I already know.

I usually don't go to name calling, but you're the idiot.

Saying someone who has played several years in the league already would be X in any draft is the definition of hindsight. The point is that his value when he was drafted would put him somewhere in the tatum/ fox range of this year's draft, and maybe later then that. I don't think that's debatable.

Hornets-sixers trade

Hornets gets jahlil okafor #50 pick 2017
Sixers get #11 pick 2017.

1.) 22 May 2017 11:44:50
Chances of getting a lottery pick for Ok4 are pretty slim. Late first, maybe, but even then . . .

2.) 22 May 2017 12:16:50
Okafor, #36 and #39 and it could work.

20 May 2017 03:25:41
Magic-sixers trade

Magic gets saric, okafor, thunders 1st 2020 and 2 2nd picks
Sixers get #6 and hezonja

Sixers draft monk or isaac
Magics trade vucevic or okafor to other team.

1.) 20 May 2017 06:58:22
Hezonja and Okafor value wise are probably fairly close but for a team like Magic especially when they already have an offensive center in Vucevic I'd prefer upside of Hezonja even if he hasn't really showed any indication of ever reaching that. Saric although good I don't think is worthy of #6 pick in this deep draft even when adding those smaller pieces. Magic should be getting more

I think it would be extremely foolish for 76ers to waste #3 on Monk or Issac. I think Jackson is clearly the best prospect available at #3 (although not a great fit) and a case could be made for Tatum since he is a better fit but doesn't have quite upside of Jackson. If 76ers really want Monk I think they'd be better suited trading down. Should be plenty of teams wanting to move up to get Jackson.

19 May 2017 08:36:32
Bulls-sixers trade

Bulls get jahlil okafor
Sixers get #16 pick 2017.

1.) 19 May 2017 11:49:09
I think its about right on Okafor's value. If Bulls are trying to keep Butler I think they could find a better use of this pick. Personally, I think they should trade Butler (obviously depending on the return) and if they do I think trading this pick for a high floor guy like Okafor who you know can give you post offense off the bench isn't a bad move. Although they could also take a chance on a guy like Jarret Allen who at least projects as a solid defender or Justin Patton as a guy who is very raw and could be good or a complete bust.

19 May 2017 08:15:57
Sun-sixers trade

Suns gets jahlil okafor and 2 2nd round picks 2017
Sixers get eric bledsoe.

1.) 19 May 2017 16:59:21
Eric Bledsoe is a good player but clearly on his way out of the suns. Sixers need to give more though. Maybe okafor and 2 2nds plus a swap in the draft so the suns can draft Jackson instead of settling of the Tatum or monk.

Hi guys. Sixers fan here from Philippines. I knew it was too early to talk about 2017 draft, but if sixers have only 1 pick in 1st round. Which is better?
A. Markelle Fultz
B. Josh Jackson
C. Others.

1.) 29 Aug 2016 21:44:59
Fultz if he were to fall it would be a godsend. He isn't an incredible shooter but decent enough. The real plus would be his potential, An athletic 6'4 pg with a 6'10 wingspan phenomenal passing and the ability to attack the basket. We could be looking at Russell Westbrook with a 3 point shot.

2.) 30 Aug 2016 00:05:40
lol, how about he plays a minute in college before we annoint him russell westbrook, but better.

26 Mar 2016 01:15:09
if sixers will be active this coming free agency, who are the top 5 free agents they must target and what salary range? be realistic.

1.) 26 Mar 2016 02:56:45
I think they will be active, need a Backcourt Ingram gets drafted for SF

1. Jordan Clarkson 4 yr 52 Mil
2. Jeremy Lin 4 yr 40 Mil
3. Bradley Beal 4 yr Max
4. Evan Fournier 4 yr 73 Mil
5. Allen Crabbe 3 yr 33 Mil

I think they will end up with Lin and Crabbe.

2.) 26 Mar 2016 12:35:33
I think they're better off trading for part of the back court by using an excess Big and/ or the LA pick. They also have a Kings pick in the bank.

3.) 26 Mar 2016 15:39:52
They shou do target all the top free agents first of course. They have the money to sign three of the top guys to max contracts. Odds are though they won't be able to get them.

So. I like Bradley beal In a Max deal. Wizards may not want him on a. Max deal after the injury issues.

Mike Conley is a nice player max

Derozen. Max

If we decide to trade a few of our big men whiteside would be a nice get too.

The truth is they probably will just draft best players in their draft slots and then sign lesser teir guys for big one year deals. They got to reach the floor somehow.

4.) 26 Mar 2016 19:28:33
TreGib, To be honest, don't get your hopes up for any of those players. Philly is probably the least Attractive Area for a FA to go to.

5.) 26 Mar 2016 22:33:32
Beal is cleared of minutes restriction, WAS would match it, they don't have much choice.
Try to trade Okafor along two late picks, should be able to get something decent for that - I'd even take a risk of going after Hezonja.

6.) 27 Mar 2016 03:27:48
Hezonja is Untouchable.

7.) 27 Mar 2016 11:24:57
Yes, playing l.

8.) 27 Mar 2016 11:26:59
Yes playing like crazy this year, and if Parsons is signed he'd be 4th wing in rotation. Clearly a go to guy. I know he is talented, but this way it suits both teams.

9.) 27 Mar 2016 14:59:06
Ok. So Gordon is now ranked as the #2 player in his draft and Mario Hezonja is "untouchable. " He's scoring 6 more points per game than I am.

Again, don't get me wrong. I like him as a player. But "untouchable" is a bit strong. "Untouchable" means you wouldn't trade him for anyone in the league.

Would you trade him straight up for the 1st pick in the draft? How about Andrew Wiggins? Towns?

Noah to philly make sense as long as the #8pick is attach. they can use him as third string center. i think theirs no A class free agent will go to sixers next season. maybe after a couple of years, that time philly is a good destination for A class free agent. you can unload noah's expiring contract using a couple of 2nd round picks or 2020 1st okc. and worst of worst a stretch provision (6m a yr) .

If josh jackson is available at #3 it is no brainer. His potential is higher to all prospect other than fultz. A trio of jackson-simmon-embiid are good foundation. about the problem of having a sg, you can sign jj redict for 16-18m for 3yrs or a trade from the sun either bledsoe or knight. Sixers also have bayless for 2 years. And if it is true that d'angelo russell is available. I think a package of okafor (need chance of scenery), okc 1st 2020, 2 2nd rd picks for d'angelo and deng's contract will do or a good to start for a framework of a trade.

Not enough for #3 in a deep draft. That 2020 is maybe at the range of 15-25pick. Would you also trade #2 pick for okafor and protected top 10 2020?i think you will say NO even i will add saric, okc 1st 2020 and take deng's contract still you will say NO.
