Wolves-Blazers

Cj for butler straight up.

kiks

1.) 26 Sep 2018 19:40:52
Fair trade if butler stays with the blazers long term.

2.) 26 Sep 2018 19:55:56
Seems smart for both teams. Minny gets a top 35 player locked in, and Portland takes a chance on a better player with the hopes they can convince him to stay and play with Lillard. If he leaves, then they do a full rebuild.

3.) 27 Sep 2018 19:17:09
the downside of losing jimmy while u couldve still had cj under contract is why por won't do this.

Hou-Cha

Rockets receive nic Baum

Hornets receive anderson, onaku (salary filler)

Hornets get out of batums contract of 3 yrs 70+ mil. Getting anderson who has one less yr would probably be something the hornets jump at.

Although Batum has an extra yr of 20+ mil, Batum can make up for the absence of ariza and LMM.

kiks

1.) 30 Jul 2018 17:20:35
I really like the fit of Batum in Houston. I just wouldn't think they'd want to take on that contract.

In a system like Houston, SA, or GS I think Batum would be a great fit as a role player.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 21:02:57
And who plays sf for the Hornets?

Batum to Houston
Ryan Anderson to Sacramento
Iman Shumpert and Skal to the Suns
TJ Warren and Chriss to the Hornets

Kemba, Parker, Devonte
Lamb, Monk, Bacon
Warren, MKG, Bridges
Williams, Frank, Chriss
Zeller, Hernangomez, Biz.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 01:55:55
mrtarheel, MKG, as he did last year!

18 Jul 2018 03:02:02
Rockets get Mkg

Hornets get ryan anderson

Although mkg still can't shoot, the losses of ariza and mbah a moute could drastically hurt their defense. Mkg still has value is this league for his high level defense. This trade also saves them some money this year as anderson makes about 5 mil more.

Hornets don't have a huge need for mkg and might want out of the extra yr of salary. While Anderson makes more per yr, his contract has only 2 yrs instead of mkgs 3.

I don't see this trade happening right now, but if Charlotte struggles early in the yr and decides to give mkgs playing time to bridges or bacon, taking a yr off of 8 figure salary might seem enticing.

kiks

1.) 18 Jul 2018 04:19:32
There is no reason to think MKG can get 13 mil from another team so he will opt in or take a buy out or waive and stretch on the second season. Hornets did the whole Howard-mozgov-biyombo move to get out of luxury I don't see any reason for the Hornets to do this.

Lakers-Thunder

Melo to la

Deng to okc

This gets some money of the books for okc, without them having to waive or stretch carmelo. They could also waive and stretch deng, or wait til next yr.

Unlike Deng, carmelo is only a 1 yr contract. With this move they can clear up enough for possibly having room for another 2 max or near max contracts to pair with lebron. There is also a slight chance playing with lebron will help melo revive his career, which is something u can take a chance on for a one yr deal.

This obviously wouldn't happen if la decides to trade for kawhi this summer, but if they decide to just sign him next yr as a fa, this deal could make sense.

kiks

1.) 04 Jul 2018 21:29:33
Lakers would do it. Can't have enough shooters. Okc I doubt would.

2.) 04 Jul 2018 22:12:14
Thunder swerve.

3.) 05 Jul 2018 00:40:47
Chandler for Deng and Lakers 2019 first

Hill for Deng and Lakers 2019 first.

4.) 05 Jul 2018 02:53:33
Lakers have to add 1 1st for melo expiring.

5.) 06 Jul 2018 10:34:07
Its a hog for a dog trade. Hard to tell which has the least fleas.

Cle-NY

Cleveland gets courtney Lee

New York gets jr smith

Another move cleveland could make to improve SG position and have more consistency from that spot. Taking on extra yr of guaranteed contract, but it's worth it if it helps convince lebron to stay.

New York might just be looking at next yr as a rebuilding yr, especially if Porzingis ends up missing most or all of the season. New York could be big players next off season however, and might look towards clearing up some cap space. New York might be looking at THJ and Knox or start on the wings anyways, and might not have any need for lee.

kiks

1.) 01 Jul 2018 21:58:33
Hardaway Lee Thomas for Smith Hill.

2.) 01 Jul 2018 21:59:32
Another delisional cavs fan who thinks staying after he opted out. Smh.

3.) 01 Jul 2018 23:35:04
I'm not even a cavs fan lol.

Lakers-Knicks

Deng to ny

Noah and 2nd to la

Deng and noah have same contract, New York gives up a 2nd because they just need to get rid of noah, and la could use noah in certain matchups as he is still a good defensive center which they currently don't have. La probably won't even suit up deng.

Is anyone else surprised that Stephenson hasn't been signed yet? It was just a like 2 years ago when lance was starting over turner on a playoff team. Turner now has a 70 mil contract and stephenson has yet to be signed.

One team i think that should sign lance is the spurs. The last time he was in a good team system, lance was almost an allstar. Lance could add athleticism, another playmaker, while being a versatile defender that they would need against a team like golden state. Noting how little interest there has been in him, the spurs could get him for cheap.

Stephenson in the spurs system would be a low risk, high reward signing. At only 25 and yet to reach his prime, lance could be a good replacement for ginobili and would help them greatly in matchups against golden state. I haven't heard any rumors about this, but noting how every player plays better for the spurs this would a great deal for both teams.

If any of you don't remember, before diaw joined the spurs, he was on a poor team where he was cited for his poor effort. Going to the spurs resurrected his career, and he became a crucial part on a championship team. what's to say the same can't happen to stephenson.

kiks

1.) 25 Jul 2016 17:46:46
Spurs or Indy should sign him indeed.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 02:31:40
I don't know why Larry Bird hasn't brought him back yet. He must know something we don't cause I see virtually no harm in offering him a cheap 1 yr deal with a team option.

NYK-BOS-CLE

New York gets Rozier or smart, Olynyk and one of Brooklyns picks

Boston gets Love

Cleveland gets Carmelo

Now obviously Carmelo would have to waive his no trade clause, but for a chance to play with lebron and compete for a title I think he would strongly considering it. Also for cleveland a lineup of Irving, Smith, lebron, melo, and tt would match up better against the new death lineup.

New York is getting a potential number 1 pick in a loaded draft, and both smart and rozier can both be good 2 way guards and Olynyk has the potential to be a poor man's Pau gasol.

Boston is getting love without giving up Bradley or crowder. And with LA denying reports of trading Griffin and okc wanting to see what westbrook and their new acquisitions can do, love is a great backup plan. Him and Horford would be great offensively and solid defensively and would give the Celtics great floor spacing.

kiks

1.) 15 Jul 2016 23:51:38
Love no longer has a lot of value. He needs to pad his stats with a bad team to re-establish his worth.

2.) 16 Jul 2016 00:16:02
No way from boston.

3.) 16 Jul 2016 07:35:38
Don't see Boston giving up that much. Brooklyn 2018 and minor pieces like Young or 2nd rounder is more reasonable. Knicks have tricked themselves into thinking they are good and can attract a big name free agent next summer so they'll probably want more for Melo (more ready to contribute pieces) .

4.) 16 Jul 2016 12:38:34
I love this trade

Love would be good in Boston
C anthony could be better than Love
And NY can rebuilt around porzingis.

Andre iguodala just said that the thunder were the best team in the playoffs last year. That means that not only did kd join the team that beat him after he was 3-1, but that he left the best team in the league. All because on the thunder kd would actually have to compete for a championship, it wouldn't just be handed to him.

So kd probably choked away the title from okc and then went to join a team that really does not need him and would still be title favorites or right behind the cavs.

The people that would compare this to what lebron did can only be extreme lebron haters.

kiks

1.) 15 Jul 2016 09:58:15
Agree.

2.) 16 Jul 2016 07:50:32
Definitely not the best look for KD and not similar circumstance at all to what Lebron did. At the end of the day however KD is leaving the same reason why Lebron left, to give himself a better shot at winning the championship. Had he stayed Thunder would still be a contender but they don't have nearly as good of odds as KD on the Warriors. Personally I can't hate the man for wanting to win a ring but I think the backlash he is getting is well deserved since he could've won a ring with Thunder (probably should've this year) but chose to take an even easier route.

Just wondering what are some of the teams that you have had the most fun watching in the last ten to 20 years?

Mine are the seven seconds offense suns team with Nash and amare, the spurs, specifically a couple years ago and the heats big 3 with wade and lebron throwing those full court lobs to each other.

kiks

1.) 14 Jul 2016 22:23:22
2009-10 magi.

2.) 14 Jul 2016 22:48:32
Thunder team with Harden, KD, Westbrook. Lakers 09-10 championship team. Kings 00-02 teams.

3.) 15 Jul 2016 02:53:39
Lakers 09-10, spurs always.

4.) 15 Jul 2016 15:17:16
Detroit, when they won the title in I think 04.
The Nash, johnson, stoudamire, suns.
Dallas with dirk and Nash
The 76ers with AI
Those Cwebb Stojakovich, mike Bibby kings
Pretty much any spurs team in the last 20 years.
Lob city when it was fresh
Big 3 Celtics.
Kobe's lakers.

True GM hindsight is 20-20, the thompson pick was ok, TT has been a double double machine, while evolving into a very versatile defender while not missing any games in his career. (might of missed a few early on, not sure) Coming into the draft, klay thompson was viewed in a pretty similar way that nik staukas was viewed, and almost no one expected leonard or butler to be very good offensively. The bennett pick was pretty bad, but there was no clear or even somewhat clear no.1 choice, and waiters has been decent nba player.

With a lineup of Curry, Thompson, iguodala, kd, and green or even any lineup with 4 of those guys can do whatever they want and score nonstop.

Okc would definitely say no as there is no way curry would resign and okc could get better options instead of Curry for a year. I would do this if I'm golden state but it might just be me that thinks that steph curry is ridiculously overrated.
