TORONTO / PORTLAND

A rumor said that Raptors GM Masai Ujiri has been interested in Nicolas Batum for a long time.

Raptors trade: Landry Fields, Tyler Hansbrough, Terrence Ross
Trail Blazers trade: Nicolas Batum

RAPTORS
PG: Kyle Lowry - Greivis Vasquez
SG: DeMar DeRozan - Louis Williams
SF: Nicolas Batum - James Johnson - Bruno Caboclo
PF: Amir Johnson - Patrick Patterson - Chuck Hayes
C: Jonas Valanciunas - Lucas Nogueira - Greg Stiemsma

This trade does multiple things for the Raptors. First of all, Toronto currently has a few too many power forwards and centers on the roster. Trading Tyler Hansbrough, who isn't a game-changer, frees up time for the rest of the frontcourt (guys like Hayes and Nogueira). Terrence Ross has fallen out of Dwane Casey's rotation, and replacing him with a guy like Nicolas Batum could really help this Raptors team. Batum is a player who is respectable in almost all aspects of the game. Finally, Landry Fields is just added as an ineffective piece to match salaries.

BLAZERS
PG: Damian Lillard - Steve Blake
SG: Wesley Matthews - C.J. McCollum - Will Barton
SF: Terrence Ross - Dorell Wright - Landry Fields
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge - Joel Freeland - Thomas Robinson - Tyler Hansbrough
C: Robin Lopez - Chris Kaman - Meyers Leonard

For Portland, this trade adds a young, talented player in Terrence Ross while trading away Nicolas Batum, who hasn't really lived up to the Blazers' expectations. Tyler Hansbrough is low on the above depth chart because he would likely have to work his way into the rotation before getting some playing time. Finally, Landry Fields likely wouldn't get any PT unless Dorell Wright or C.J. McCollum are injured. Also, by doing this trade, the Blazers' coaching staff needs to fix up the rotation; give more minutes to Wright and McCollum as the backup wings while sharing the backup frontcourt minutes between Freehand, Robinson, Hansbrough, Kaman, and Leonard. This isn't easy to do, but it has to be done if Portland wants to go deep into the playoffs.

1.) Blazers turn the trade down, if the Raptors toss in a first round pick that the Blazers can use to acquire Chandler and Afflalo from Denver then this deal might happen

2015-16 DETROIT PISTONS UPDATED PLANS
Free Agents: Joel Anthony, Reggie Jackson, John Lucas, Greg Monroe, Tayshaun Prince

2015 Draft:
- 10th pick: Kelly Oubre (sign to rookie deal)
- 40th pick: Perry Ellis (sign to rookie deal)

2015 Free Agency:
- Waive Caron Butler
- Re-Sign Greg Monroe to 4-years, $60,000,000
- Sign Draymond Green to 3-years, $33,000,000 (about $1M over what Golden State is willing to match; has said that he might want to come to Detroit)
- Sign Kevin Seraphin to 2-years, $5,000,000
- Sign Jameer Nelson to 2-years, $5,000,000 (Stan Van Gundy connection from Orlando)

**Pistons still have about $80,000 left in cap space if the projections are correct

PG: Brandon Jennings / Jameer Nelson / Spencer Dinwiddie
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope / Jodie Meeks
SF: Draymond Green / Kelly Oubre / Cartier Martin
PF: Greg Monroe / Anthony Tolliver / Perry Ellis
C: Andre Drummond / Kevin Seraphin

Detroit has a chance to be a contender in the East.

1.) GS will resign Draymond Green, even if the demands the max.

You didn't want to resign Jackson who will be a stud, yet you wanna resign Monroe who doesn't fit well next to Drummond? That's crazy talk.

Then you wanna sign Green to be your small forward. He can't shoot all that well and Stan Van Gundy's system is all about shooting threes.

Do you know basketball?

DETROIT PISTONS 2015 OFFSEASON

2015 Draft:
- Kelly Oubre (sign to 4-year, $9,515,427 rookie contract)
- Amida Brimah (sign to 3-year, $2,525,590 rookie contract)

Cartier Martin exercises Player Option

Exercise Caldwell-Pope for Year 4

Re-Sign / Sign:
- Greg Monroe (4-years, $60,000,000)
- Joel Anthony (2-years, $3,000,000)
- Brandon Bass (2-years, $8,000,000)

If the cap room estimates are correct, the Pistons will still have about $4,000,000 in cap space, if they want one more player. No big moves but with the growth of Caldwell-Pope, Monroe, Drummond and Dinwiddie, this can be a definite playoff team in the East. The offseason after this one is when the Pistons will make a push to become contenders, when Drummond and Jennings are set to become free agents.

Depth Chart
PG: Brandon Jennings - D.J. Augustin - Spencer Dinwiddie
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - Jodie Meeks
SF: Kelly Oubre - Caron Butler - Cartier Martin
PF: Greg Monroe - Brandon Bass - Anthony Tolliver
C: Andre Drummond - Amida Brimah - Joel Anthony

Good ideas, but Anderson Varejao is one of LeBron's favorite teammates ever. Cleveland would never let Varejao go knowing that.
