Here is Spurs trade.. DeRozan for Lakers 4th round pick,(Culver) and first round 2020, Rondo and Ball. If need another throw in from Lakers to make money work, so be it. Trade Ball for 2020 first round pick (best can get). Waive Rondo.
DeRozan is nice, but never going to win title with him. Add Culver to Spurs young group with more draft picks for POP. Lakers get possible running mate for Lebron and with getting rid of 17M in Rondo and Ball can add a 3rd stud and keep Kuzma and Ingram.

That’s to much for Derozan. His lack or 3 point shooting is a huge hinderanxs and he isn’t much of a defender. I can’t see them doing 1 of Ingram ball or Kuzma, next year’s first protects and maybe hart.

Rondo a free agent already.

I think it’s fair value but DeRozan is just a terrible fit, don’t overthink it, get shooters and defense around Bron.

I agree, DeRozan is not a fit for a LeBron team. He's a really nice slasher/ midrange guy, but LeBron needs three point shooters around him.

I do disagree that you can't win a championship with DeRozan though. He's not going to be your primary guy, but what he and Lowry were able to do in their years together in Toronto was pretty awesome considering their individual limitations.

Time for Spurs to play hardball. Look to trade Leonard now to Cavs for Love, Osman and Cavs first round picks 2020,2021. Tell Lakers that have 1 hour to put best offer on table or this trade will be consummated. Lakers scared they might lose LeBron ante up.. If not Spurs get Love ( stretch 4/5 opposite Aldridge), Osman (upside) and in all likihood strong lottery picks in 2020/21 when Lebron is probably gone. Gamble, but may stir things up. Even Boston, and Philly don't want Lebron staying in Cle and partner with Kawhi.

Can't trade No. 1 picks in back-to-back seasons.

2.) 30 Jun 2018 20:31:56
ok 2020 and 2022.

3.) 30 Jun 2018 20:32:16
ok 2020 and 2022.

4.) 30 Jun 2018 20:33:50
Either way that's not that great of a return. Love and Aldridge and Gasol would be awful together. And Kevin Love is ridiculously overrated and overpaid. Best deal they can get is from Philly or Boston.

5.) 30 Jun 2018 21:49:52
Agreed. But if Spurs go on offensive and push to trade Leonard to CLE before LeBron signs, it might make Lakers more nervous about offering better package in fear of Lebton staying in CLE and partnering with Leonard there. BOS/ Phi probably wouldn’t want that scenario either. Right now everyone is low balling Spurs. This might just make the other teams more nervous and offer Spurs more to make sure LeBron goes to LA.

If Spurs can't get things patched up with Leonard, how does this look.

Spurs-Suns

Suns Kawhi Leonard + Danny Green

Spurs Phx #1, Josh Jackson, Ty Warren

i wouldn't make that deal as phx, u get either jj or the pick and u can have your pick of the rest of the roster other than booker. and maybe the heat pick.

2.) 04 May 2018 19:56:22
Agree with Donna. I'm not even sure I chase Leonard if I'm the Suns unless they have a wink wink deal with Kawhi and a free agent or 2nd trade in lined up to get some more talent.

3.) 04 May 2018 20:08:03
If assumption is that they can sign Leonard to longterm deal, do you make it?

4.) 05 May 2018 02:47:16
No, it's just to much for a team in their situation.

As a Spurs fan, I like idea, but 4 years at 30m for Wiggins just too much. How about take out Wiggins out and replace with Dieng. Another bad deal but more palatable to take on.

DeRozan straight up for Griffin is interesting.

I like the creativity. Thinking that a 3 team deal might be where we are headed with Spurs.
