I think you're undervaluing derozen if you think a guy like Culver and Ingram is too much for him.

Why does every laker fan seem to think they will get Davis for Ingram ball and the 4th? They offered practically the whole team and multiple draft picks and pelicans still turned it down because they knew this summer more teams could get involved whis would raise the price not lower it.

He’s not a good defender, he’s a high usage guy that isn’t all that efficient, and he doesn’t spread the floor. He’s not good enough to be a first option and doesn’t fit particularly well around the guys in the league you could consider championship caliber 1st options. Like Ingram is a similar guy, but at least there’s still hope for his 3 point shooting and defense. You almost have to put him in a role like a Jimmy Butler was in in Philly or like Mcollum in Portland, but doesn’t come with Butler’s d or Mccollum’s floor spacing. So you can’t maximize him and maximize your team, but he’s a max guy. How much are you willing to give up for a max guy that in the best role for a contender is giving you like 20 and 5, not helping your star, taking space away from everyone in your starting unit, and gives you sub par defense. He’s good and really talented, but his skill set isn’t one that you want to optimize in today’s NBA.

I disagree skills85. I think Pelicans are going to lose Davis for less than they could have got if they traded him earlier. Like you said, Lakers basically offered the whole team!

That's a long paragraph to just say that he doesn't shoot/ make 3's. He still put up 22, 6 and 6 last year. Something Ingram imo will never do for a playoff team.

Hes also lead Toronto multiple years to the best record in the east. Just because he isn't a top 5-10 player in the league, doesn't mean he doesn't hold more value then a couple of role players which is what I think Ingram Culver and hunters ceilings are.
