I think the Nets say no in the end unless they arel very high on thompson and get a guaranteed extension because they just resigned thad.

If Kobe realistically had the opportunity to have Lebron and Bosh then he would have done whatever jt took to make it happen.
It's easy to say that every player should follow Tim Duncan but no organization is like the Spurs. The Spurs have had the same core for 13 years or so with the same coach.
Kobe probably looked at what happened to Dirk. So Dirks took less but the mavs just went and gave his money away to chandler parsons and now wesley mathews, who are solid players but are not going to win them a championship, and said "man forget that crap I'm still a top 10 player when healthy and i'm only giving away my money if it means championships.
