The Brooklyn pick just doesn't have that much value right now. This has the Magic trading their best player, Gordon, who's a 22 year old blossoming star. They're also giving up another big positive asset in Vuc and taking on 2 players w/ zero to negative value.

If the pick was guaranteed to be top 3, it would be at least worth considering, but it could just as easily be a mid-1st pick when the draft comes around.

1. Noel and Okafor don't work well on the court together.
2. Davis is obviously worth too much as a franchise cornerstone.

I don't see it for Orlando. Rubio is a slightly better EP, but he's also older/ more expensive. There's no point in Orlando trading both him and Vuc for Rubio. Even if you don't like Vuc as a starter, he's great value as a scoring threat off the bench at minimum.

The Magic are consolidating right now. They wouldn't trade their highest upside player ($1) for 4 quarters.

Orlando already has an offensively skilled, but defensively challenged center. No way they give up major assets to get another one.
