MIN/SAS/BOS

Not sure the likelihood of something like this being Kawhi wants to be a LAL.

MIN: Kyrie Irving, Pau Gasol

He named them as a place he wanted to get traded to last year. The Jimmy Butler connection most likely. Obvious risk here with Kyrie and Jimmy both being FA's at the end of the year. The hope is bringing them together keeps them long term with KAT. Pau provides depth in the front court and is a great mentor to KAT.

BOS: Kawhi Leonard

People have suggested Kyrie for Kawhi before. With Rozier in place this could make Kyrie expendable for a player of Kawhi's caliber. Only issue is if Kawhi would stay long term but they have the same questions with Kyrie. This would put Boston all in on the upcoming season but the East is wide open.

SAS: Jeff Teague, Andrew Wiggins, Justin Patton, Memphis Draft pick, Boston 1st 2019, MIN 2019 1st

Spurs get back the 3 first round picks as well as upside with Wiggins and Patton. Teague can provide quality point guard play and hasn't missed the playoffs in years. Give Pop the opportunity to develop Wiggins into being worth that contract which I would not bet against POP. Spurs draft well and having this ammo although the picks from BOS and MIN would be later would give them a chance to retool. MEM pick will convey in 2020 or 2021 which would be the best pick asset from the deal. SAS was the 7 seed without Kawhi too.

Obviously a long shot but could be beneficial to all parties. I know people say Wiggins has no trade value, Kawhi won't stay and Kyrie is never healthy. That is why this could work as each team takes on risk but improves. Haven't looked at the salaries so that could mess it all up anyway. Alright, rip me apart now.

Spurs not taking minny over paid players.

I like the creativity. Thinking that a 3 team deal might be where we are headed with Spurs.

This sounds like a good trade to me, with wiggins Pop can still play at a high level and the salary dump of Pau is also necessary for the spurs!
The only problem for Boston is that they will have 4 wing guys without a descent pg.

HOU- MIN

HOU Trades- Ariza, Beverly
HOU Receives- Rubio

MIN Trades- Rubio
MIN Receives- Ariza, Beverly

Salaries work while Houston gets a good younger defensive pass first point guard to spread the ball to their abundance of shooters. With Harden, Anderson and Gordon they need someone who can distribute as well as play some defense.

Minnesota gets a backup PG and let's Dunn start as a rookie. Was apparently the number 1 player on Thibs draft board so there has to be confidence in him. Ariza gives them a solid wing veteran and could potentially play the 4 against small ball lineups.

No, even if Thibs has confidence in Dunn, he still wants to make the playoffs this year and that goal would be much harder by having a rookie PG run the offense.

I disagree with this. Since Harden and Gordon are ball dominant guards, Houston needs players that can shoot. Beverly is a good shooter and also brings it defensively. Rubio can defend but can't shoot.

I like the trade. Works out great for both teams.

I like it this gives Wolves depth Beverly can start at least for a little bit and Rubio can help create space to make Harden better

MIN-CHI-PHI

MIN TRADES: R. RUBIO, Z. LAVINE
MIN RECEIVES: J. BUTLER

CHI TRADES: J. BUTLER
CHI RECEIVES: Z. LAVINE, N. NOEL

PHI TRADES: N. NOEL
PHI RECEIVES: R. RUBIO

This would be the main framework of the trade with other smaller parts potentially.

Constructive thoughts?

This trade couldn't get dunn with Dunn (pun intended), so I doubt this would work with Noel replacing Dunn. Chicago would probably accept if Dunn was also added. But Sixers would probably need something extra too.

Philadelphia also receives Shabazz Muhamed and N. Pekovic.

Bulls fan say hell Nah. We've all been through the rosters a million times, there is no deal that is balanced between Minnesota and Chicago. Can we all stop trying?

7.) 24 Jun 2016 20:51:45
The deal on the table is Rubio, Dieng and bazz for butler. Nothing more. Its highway robbery sure, and I understand if the bulls won't do it. They did themselves no favors trading rose away predraft. Now the world knows they need a point, and Butler had to sit thru a night of insulting trade talks. It couldn't have been more botched by the GarPax administration.
Two things going round the campfire are that Minny was never interested in trading for butler, only trolling the Chicago front office. And that Zach Lavine has turned into a workout warrior put on 10 lbs since the end of the season and has been taking a ridiculous amount of shots everyday in anticipation of a full year as the starting two. They see him as a probable 90%ft 50%fg 40%3pt shooter sooner rather than later.

8.) 24 Jun 2016 21:00:54
It's a media war between 2 FOs that bitterly hate each other, at this point the Twolves are the least likely team in the NBA to trade for Butler.

9.) 24 Jun 2016 21:09:37
@jalex: thank you. I've said over and over. Butler to Minny isn't happening.

10.) 25 Jun 2016 15:56:50
No to Rubio. Terrible scorer and doesn't fit.
