Orlando Magic, sixers, Boston.

Magic trade Vuc and hezonja.
Magic get brookyln 2018 pick

Sixers trade Noel
Sixers get Amir Johnson, Mario hezonja, Marcus smart.

Celtics trade Amir Johnson and 2018 Brooklyn first.

Come on Boston not trading smart, Johnson and Brooklyn pick for vuc that's way too much.

I don't think the sixers could reasonably get smart straight up for the expiring, injury prone noel. But no. tre wants to include the 2015 5th overall pick and the starting pf of the celtics.

Mind you. all this is for a player that is clearly injury prone, severely limited offensively, an expiring contract AND isn't EVEN IN THE ROTATION ON THE WORST TEAM IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE.

Fool.

If you think Noel is going to get you those players, you might as well as for Curry and Durant. Same result.

I actually forgot Noel to Boston as well.

So now bostons weakness at center is now its strength. Starting and back up would be very good centers.

Restricted free agent isn't not a free agent. You own his rights for four more years after this. Just match a deal. Not a problem. I can't believe people don't under stand rookie deal and restricted free agency.

I understand RFA, and those Bird Rights really only matter for a max deal player, which Noel most definitely is not.

Noel's value is two parts. What is he worth as a half season rental, plus what are the Bird rights worth. You can debate the first. He has not been worth much in his first 3.5 seasons to the Sixers, with injuries, lack of an offensive game, and being a bad renter

Bird Rights are not worth much here. In the unlikely event that Noel suddenly becomes a healthy, secure basketball player with some semblance of a two way game, then there will be many many teams making him offers next season. 20 teams have easy cap space as the cap jumps again. Noel is sure to get an overpaid, Biyombo-sized offer from one of them. Having the rights to match the highest offer, the overpaid offer, is not a valuable asset. Even if you want to overpay for Noel, keep your trade assets, and just overpay in free agency.

Biyombo, crabbe, and Johnson are good examples of why people don't love trading for expiring rookie deals. Restricted free agents get overpaid more than any other free agent.
