Wolves should make a run at P.George because he is going to leave Pacers, at least in 1 year at FA 2018 for nothing in return

Pacers get LaVine, Rubio, 6th pick 2017, 1st round pick 2020
Wolves get George

Pacers: rebuild around Turner, LaVine, 6th pick, own 16th pick, Rubio (or trade him for future assets), meanwhile they have good players to stay competetive (Teague, Young, Jefferson, Ellis)

Wolves: now with George, Towns and Wiggins in Minnesota and enough cap space they maybe have enough to lure Paul from Clippers in FA
sign CP3 to max contract (4y) away from Clippers
let Muhammad walk
sign 1 defensive wing (SG/SF) and 1 3-p-shooting wing: Sefolosha, Allen, Korver, Mills,...

CP3/Dunn/Jones
Wiggins/Rush/FA
PG13/Sefolosha/Wiggins
Dieng/Bjelica/Hill
Towns/Aldrich/Pekovic
- an unbelievable starting 5, mix of young talents and vets of the bench
- everything to build a dynasty

To big of a risk that he won't resign.

I think thibs wants a vet at guard but not sure they land CP3. What about:

Celtics Get: PG13, Lavine
Pacers Get: Brooklyn 2018, T-wolves 1st, Zeller
T-Wolves Get: IT.

It would make more sense for Twolves to go after Butler (due to slightly longer contract and history with Thibs) although he is going to be a lot tougher to get after his recent play for the Bulls on a big stage.

Not sure its worth the risk for Twolves to go after George unless they get some sort of guarantee either he or Paul would sign there. They can always just go after him in FA after next season without having to give up anything (one more season for the young guys to develop and see how LaVine recovers isn't a terrible thing) .
